Jewelry photography has the following details: 1. ** Equipment and lenses ** - Microscope photography could take beautiful close-ups of jewelry, and special equipment and lenses were needed to show the details of the jewelry. - A high-quality camera was necessary, and a tripod was indispensable. 2. ** Selection of background ** - You can use the same color background as the gem to highlight the color of the gem, or you can choose a black background to make the color of the gem appear completely or make the image stand out. However, when shooting gold jewelry, a high-contrast color background helps to highlight the gold color. For online shops, a white background was also an option, while earrings and jewelry could be placed in the dark or on a black platform to highlight small details. - The background should be simple to avoid distracting the attention of the jewelry. For example, the composition should follow the principle of less is more. Too many accessories will distract the attention of the jewelry. 3. ** In terms of shooting skills ** - Reflection: Taking a photo with reflection can increase the dimension of the image and make the jewelry more radiant. - Focus: Jewelry needs more precise focus. The camera should be set to spot measurement and manual focus adjustment mode, because the light emitted from the edge of the jewelry will mislead the camera's autofocus. The camera's autofocus is suitable for landscape or portrait shooting but not suitable for jewelry shooting. - Light: - Dispersive lighting is suitable for jewelry photography and can reduce the defects caused by light entering the shadows. If you use a flash to shoot, the camera's built-in flash or flash usually produces too much direct light, which will cause a large amount of light refraction on the crystal or metal surface. It is better to use ordinary household lamps. The light emitted through the light box wall can produce suitable intensity and scatter. - When it comes to silver, gold, or other shiny metals, pay attention to the reflection of light. The surface will reflect the light from the illumination and the camera flash and destroy the image. You can tilt the softbox or flash from different angles to avoid unnecessary light reflection. You may need to completely open the aperture to avoid direct light spots. Try to use natural light to avoid the problems caused by flash. When shooting in the studio, use a tripod and a constant light source. When the shutter speed is lowered, the camera should be kept still. - A diffusing device should be used to reduce the reflection on the metal surface. A reflective plate should be placed close to the subject to make the light softer. A white reflective plate can also be used to reflect light back to the jewelry to hide the surrounding objects or eliminate the reflection on the flat gold jewelry to accurately convey its color. - Model display: Having models show how the jewelry looks on the body helps to show the effect of the jewelry and increase sales. 4. ** Other aspects ** - If you want to shoot jewelry for an online store, you have to consider the composition of the jewelry photo. Bracelets and necklaces can be placed neatly or hung on a single chain. It is easy to remove tool traces later. There are decorative jewelry stands that can be used. It is more interesting to put the jewelry on a glass handle or a special base. - If you want to change the position of the jewelry during the filming process, you need to wear gloves to prevent sweat from blurring the jewelry. Read more exciting novels for free
