I don't always write reviews, but when I do, it's either because the novel is really good, or really bad. Despite all the positive reviews, in my opinion, this belongs in the latter. First of all, the positive. The world background is unique, and certainly above average. The relationship between characters is decent. Now, the bad things. The most important thing, the humor. While I did chuckled once in awhile, for the most part, it's just painful to read. The author tried too hard to force the comedy. The parts where it should be serious, the author still tried to add humor. All the Elders and Sect Leader acts like a bunch of 12 yearsold. There are certain situations where comedy comes from surprise or the suddenness of the situation. However, the way this novel is written completely take away the surprise part and ruin the humor. Most importantly, I don't know if it's the translator or the author, but using vulgarities to force the humor is just immature. Conversations between characters are completely devoid of witticism. Characters swore and cursed at each other is just...tasteless. Once in a blue moon, it sort of worked, but the rest of the time, it's just overdone and became vulgar instead. Sometimes, the vulgarities even ruined the part where it's actually funny. Let me give you an example, the MC were talking with a girl about how bad his Master was. The conversation were going just fine, then he dropped a sentence along the line "you might aswell tell me to masturbate over my Master getting gang raped".... It's not like i'm over sensitive, but it's just tasteless. That is just pure vulgarity, not comedy. If you want an actual humorous xanxia, try A Will Eternal. This novel is just a really bland and vulgar slapstick comedy.

How in the world almost nobody mentioned this point (vulgarity)? Thank you for your review.

The translator can't differentiate past tense, present tense and future tense. The translation quality is rather bad for this sites standards, but no one in their review ever mentioned this, why is that?

Why does no one mention the bad translation quality?

It's a mystery

Let me answer that question for you. Differentiating the past tense, present tense and future tense is forgivable because most of the readers of this novel still understood 95 % of it. Normally, English is NOT the first language of the translators here. Let me also tell you that not all the English native speakers are good at using the past, present and future tense. I know because I have worked with a lot of them. So for me, the rate for the translation quality is valid because I have already read 80+ chapters and I understood all of them. There are some errors yes but it's a minor issue. All the sentences still make sense.

Hmn. I'm glad that you point this out in your review. I didn't feel good as well when those jokes were mentioned out of the blue. I just feel like it's forced. This is actually still ok for me because that's only a joke. BUT if the rape thing happens in this novel, I'm gonna stop reading this. I just don't like a novel with rape in it. That's actually the reason why I dropped the Martial God Asura. There are some rape story in it. Even the MC raped two villains.

I agree with your statement that there are some native speakers that don't quite understand tenses, but this novel already has 400+ chapers someone must have at least mentioned the misuse of tense once. This novel also has an editor who's job is to Tix such mistakes. The 3 most basic tenses are the most easiest to understand, and judging from the proficiency of the English used in the chapers, after realizing the mistakes it wouldn't be too hard for them to fix my most of the obvious misuse of tense. The translating team of this novel just chooses not to. The older chapters of this novel has less tense mistakes than the current, so it means that the quality is regressing. They keep making tense related mistakes which weren't so bluntly obvious before. They should even have a stable income from translating from all the support, yet why is the quality regressing. I myself aren't good at English, but even I won't start making mistakes I didn't make before and even refuse to fix it. The novel had good enough grammar and somewhat proper use of tenses before chapter 80, but it regresses after that, thus I dropped it at chapter 271. It becomes impossible for me to enjoy with so many obvious mistakes even a novice in English wouldn't make.

Thank you for your review! I was intent on reading this novel 'cause the reviewers seemed less brain dead than the majority on this site, but I really dislike these kind of rude jokes (especially about rape and racism, I can't stand that sh*t) Thank you for preventing me from having to reading this novel I guess

Novel was pretty good and funny until it became too repetitive and the author got obsessed with the Fate series. Seriously so much copied from the Fate series and every new companion is a girl while the old ones are forgotten and not developed. Smh

To be honest even without the vulgarity and just poor humor it's just straight up a super boring story. I'm 31 chapters in and I have literally 0 interest in anything that's been going on.

Maximum Comprehension: Taking Care of Swords In A Sword Pavilion

Han Muye, who had exceptional comprehension skills, was reborn into a cultivation world. He joined a clan which specialized in swordsmanship. He then became the keeper who looked after the swords in the Swords Pavilion. There were more than 100,000 swords stored in the pavilion. The keeper was tasked to clean all of them once a month. When Han Muge cleaned the Qinghe sword, he acquired a hint of Sword Qi. When he cleaned the Ziyan sword, he comprehended the swordsmanship, the Burning Plain, left behind by the original owner of the sword. He also acquired the Sword Qi of Burning Flame. When he cleaned the Shanyue sword, he comprehended the teachings left behind by Master Boulder and learned the Mountain Sword Technique. … Han Muye built up his Sword Qi bit by bit during the past 60 years working as a keeper in the pavilion. Throughout the 60 years, a disciple came to seek a sword in the pavilion, and he received guidance from Han Muye. The Sacred Maiden from the demonic clan attempted to steal a sword from the pavilion, but in the end, she left dejected and empty-handed. A swordsman came to challenge Han Muye, and he left with a broken sword. … 60 years later, the Celestial World invaded the mortal world. The disciple had become an exceptional Sword Deity. He wielded his sword and protected a part of the world. The Sacred Maiden had become the demonic clan leader. She sent a letter to the Swords Pavilion and led her clan to fight against the gods. The swordsman had achieved enlightenment in his swordsmanship. His Sword Qi rifled up to the sky. … The gods from the Celestial World loomed over the sky above. Han Muye slowly stood up. 100,000 swords followed him as he emerged from the pavilion. His Sword Qi could be sensed from 30,000 miles away, and his Sword Will pierced through the realms. He declared, “Today, I, Han Muye, will traverse the sky. I want to see who among the gods dares to invade this mortal world.”
