It was good until the government happened. Once they found out about his powers, they gave him two options: to keep quiet about the supernatural things in the world, or to help them in fighting against the supernatural. That's fine. Then, the MC tells them that he will take the first option. The government is fine with that. Great! But then the government basically forces him to do the same work anyways, but for pennies. They gave him 300 yuan, or something around that ballpark, for being forced to participate in a large battle. They continuously call him to "help the nation". Its honestly wasted potential

贊Thanks for the info. That sounds BS to me. That seems like the government’s using him like a tool/slave/puppet. And he didn’t even resist/opposed or whatever… fight for his own rights? Completely BS. Doesn’t he have backbones at all? Disappointing. It feels like I would be extremely frustrated if I read the book. I’m out. Thanks again. 👋
Totally right on this point and I believe the only way to do this is to not make the story's setting remotely based on Earth. At all. On the other hand these authors that shoehorn these political messages should understand that a huge aspect of Escapist webnovel literature is being free from all constraints/duty. Unless ur story is exploring concepts where government power is a crucial element, including it undermines ur work.
VenerableDio:Well it’s affecting his readers, if it was that deep he should have tried minimize the gov involvement or find a way around it or something.
bruh the person who wrote the comment is exagerrating you should try it out its a good story in beginning it seems like what the person that posted the review said but it gets better i mean every story starts out slow

Yeah. Someone had mentioned it to me before. I’m planning to pick up this book after I finished 1 of the books in my current read. Already added it back to my library. Btw, thanks for the clarification. [img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend]

no worries. I don’t dropped books I read easily. I’m a patient reader. As long as it’s bearable, not over dragging, and the story has potential for growth, I don’t usually mind the story’s pacing. Thanks for the heads up! [img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend]

i read the novel , 39 chapter . and yes it was shoking to see govt. giving him 500 yuan . but he was leaving the world soon. and he didn't deal with that stuff more . it was just a small thing in his life and he still get to meet some important people ( it was also a small thing ) all of the above wasn't boring at all. author didn't streched anything for long period . and soon his simulation life becomes much more interesting . i also didn't read this novel and thought it was trash but it was good , I'm reading this for two days . only 40 chapter are free and think it was a good fun .

Oh man, I was worried about spoilers, so I avoided reading any comments before diving into this novel. I thought it would be another one of those fun stories where the main character goes to a different world, but it turned out to be a terrible choice. I got really frustrated by the time I reached chapter 22 and kept saying to myself, "This is not what I signed up for!" So, I started skimming through the chapters, and when I got to chapter 60, the main character still hadn't been transported to another world, and the story was still all about China. That's when I completely lost hope for this novel.
