Update: This novel was a short read that I enjoyed very much. For some it may be boring, not exciting enough but I still enjoyed the pace very much. . . . . Spoiler alert . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . There were several hilarious moments b/w the mc and Lu Bei/Zhou Yan (orig ml, but here ml‘s son from first marriage). There weren‘t any huge mistunderstandigs or rather none at all. The ml‘s ex-wife did appear but they divorced peacefully and live their own life. What the author said: both are rational people. In ml‘s opinion he delayed her. He rarely talks or opens his heart (before he met the openminded, free-spirited mc). Ex-wife was kind of the same. Both realised it early but still stayed together until Lu Bei/Zhou Yan was ~10 before they divorced. Anyways, she lives a good life with her new husband. What many would wonder what the story is even about, I would say: 穿成校园文男主的后妈 - how the mc lives the life she couldn’t in her past life & solves the mysteries b/w the orig xian(?)/jiang jinjin and herself, the orig xian(?)/jiang jinjin and several other characters, including the ml 穿成校园文男主的后妈 - lu bei‘s/zhou yan‘s development - ml‘s development This novel has 117 chapters (main story & side stories) What I find a bit unfortunate is that the mc & ml don‘t have a child of their own, a girl world be the best Why you wonder? Why is sooo short ? I need more story about them.. I thought the ending is a lil bit rushed.. Cz some question about the notebook, how she transmigration it's leave unanswered.. But i enjoyed this novel very much and can't bear to part

I tried but I couldn't like the protagonist of this story. Maybe it's my sentimental "I" speaking...but I think the character lacks empathy. She doesn't see anything around her but herself. In her mind she is the only real one, while the others are characters in a book, so for her it's not worth the approach, or what happens to them. Yes, she is special. It came to a world created in a book , so far I understand ... But in the world of the book those people are real with pain and joy . So his behavior made me feel bad, especially for the teenager. ( well that is my opinion , i expected something different ... anyway , maybe other people liked it 🙃)

this story has a potential but unfortunately it collapsed on the end. the story was too rushed, it has many unsolved issues. is the author not guilty for leaving us like this? the story's concept was really nice, but i guess i expected too much. i really can't explain how disappointed i am right now. i was expecting to see Lu Bei finally accepting the fl as her stepmother. i was expecting to read some wholesome mother and son moments. and i wanted to see Lu Bei and his father finally communicating properly with each other. the conflict of the story was not even solved and the author just put the story to an end. sigh, i don't recommend reading this book.

This is an easy, relatively short and sweet read with the caveat that it wrapped up very suddenly and left a number of foundational questions unanswered. The male lead and the stepson's characters and the female lead's interactions with them as a mediator were a refreshing shift of focus from many other stories in this genre. I also enjoyed that there was no "handoff" upon transmigration and so our female lead had to figure out the world and her relationships with others on the go. With that said, I find it hard to recommend for two reasons: the female lead's character feels somewhat shallowly developed, and the ending is quite rushed. Despite 170 chapters we never really get a sense of the lead's actual goals/interests, apart from making money. She lacks the curiosity and empathy that I would normally expect to find in such stories, and this made it hard to like her at many points throughout the story because it took a very, very long time to develop meaningful relationships with her husband and stepson. (In contrast, we are told she rapidly befriends minor characters like a teacher, a neighbor, etc.) The other issue is that there were a bunch of somewhat important unanswered questions because it looks like the author dropped the story--so we get hints of a more complicated background story for the female lead and a complex reason for why she got married to the male lead, but they are both really unexplored and the ending thus feels very abrupt.

I am heart broken. This novel has been dropped by the author i was really enjoying this novel. it's quite different from the one usually on the app plus their was so much potential for this story to grow Hopefully the author would pick it up again and continue this story

Initially, I wanted to give 5 stars all around, but due to its rushed and incomplete ending I could not. I was totally invested in the progress and was hoping for closure and finding out the fl true identity. that never happened. this was a beautiful story with lots of potential, however the abrupt ending made me feel annoyed. too many questions were left unanswered.
