That theory is just speculation. It can also be said that Yu Yevon possesses the final Aeon and chills its summoner. After my extensive research, there was no solid evidence stated that I could locate that states that a sacrifice was ever needed. Anima itself was confirmed to be a Final Summon as well but you don’t see Seymour dying after summoning it repeatedly.

Magic is temporary. The stasis he cast on the bunker would only last for a period of time. As soon as the magic runs out, the bunker is meant to crumble letting them go free. While temporal stasis is up, the bunker is unaffected by anything, leaving it impervious and damn near indestructible. (that was the idea at least). The Fast forward was for another reason all together. You will have o see for yourself. My mans got plans.
