My heart raced as I stared at my hands, my mind struggling to comprehend what was happening. The tingling sensation had spread, and my skin was starting to feel...different.

-Flashback:

I remembered the chaos in the mall, the screams, and the desperate fight for survival. I recalled Taehyung's protective embrace, and Emily's determined gaze. But I also remembered the moment I got bitten – a split-second lapse in attention, a zombie's teeth sinking into my arm. I had pushed it aside, focusing on escape, perhaps no one noticed that because the wound was minor and easily overlooked in the heat of the moment, but now...

Present:

Taehyung's voice was laced with concern. "Y/N, what's going on? You're shaking."

I tried to speak, but my voice barely whispered. "I don't know...my body feels...altering."

Captain Lewis stepped forward, his eyes locked onto mine. "We need to get you to the lab, now."

Emily's eyes widened in alarm. "What's happening to her?"

Captain Lewis's face was grim. "I don't know, but we need to find out. This could be the breakthrough we've been searching for."

As they rushed me towards the lab, I felt my body changing, my senses heightening. I was terrified, but also...hopeful.

What's happening to me? Is this the key to a cure?
