Just as this was happening, the city gates of Thor Hammer Fort suddenly opened, and the ground began to tremble. One massive figure after another appeared outside the gates of Thor Hammer Fort. Seeing them, Shan's deep purple eyes burst into searing flames, and his hands clutched the heavy iron rod even tighter.
They were giants towering over fifteen meters tall, their bodies covered with iron-grey fur that glistened under the sunlight. Most astonishing was the overwhelming aura they exuded, so potent that even the magic elements in the air seemed to flee from them in fear.
Their huge, one-meter-long feet shook the ground violently with every step, and every part of their body was robust, especially those bloodthirsty red eyes. Their shoulders, five meters wide, had bulging deltoids that resembled small mounds, with terrifying muscles hidden beneath the fur. At the end of their sturdy arms were claws as long as a hundred inches, each capable of rivalling the Dragon Spears of the human Dragon Cavalry, with every deep breath making the air seem to whimper.
Indeed, these were Behemoth Beasts, the ace of aces within the Beastman Clan, capable of contending with true giant dragons and bearing the title of invincible on land.
Even the bodies of giant dragons could not compare to that of Behemoth Beasts. In hand-to-hand combat, these Seventh Rank Frenzied Behemoths could entirely tear apart an Eighth Rank giant dragon. Though only at the Seventh Rank, no Magical Beasts of the same rank stood a chance against them. They were naturally immune to any Blue rank Magic and below, making their bodies as formidable as fortresses. As for the Eighth Rank Silver Behemoths and the Ninth Rank Golden Behemoths, they truly symbolized invincibility on land.
In the Northernmost Wilderness, the Beastmen were divided into many tribes, but the strength of a tribe was not measured by its territory but by the number of Behemoths it possessed. The tribe with the most Behemoth Beasts reigned supreme among the Beastmen.
At this moment, a hundred Frenzied Behemoths had appeared outside of Thor Hammer Fort. Their formation was not neat, as Behemoth Beasts had no need for tactics. Their presence was not for battle but for training—evidence that not even the Commander of Thor Hammer Fortress, the first stronghold of the Beastmen, dared allow these wildly ferocious creatures to train within the fortress walls.
Besides the hundred Frenzied Behemoths, there were also five Silver Behemoths and two Golden Behemoths present. This accounted for more than half of all the Behemoth Beasts in Thor Hammer Fort.
The Silver Behemoths sported silver fur, and were even more robust than the Frenzied Behemoths, virtually immune to all Blue rank Magic. Only Zi rank Magic could inflict damage upon them. The Golden Behemoths were even more terrifying—as Behemoth Kings, these Ninth Rank super-beasts were impervious to Zi rank Magic unless it was of at least a Third Rank Zi rank level. Their gold-hued fur was tougher than any armor, and their bloodthirsty gaze alone could make giant dragons tremble.
It was because of the might of the Behemoth Beasts that human nations dare not venture further.
Over a hundred Fourth to Sixth Rank Dragon Tamers, captured from who knows where, were released outside Thor Hammer Fort. Panic pervaded the area. On the fortress walls, countless powerful warrior ranks of the Beastman Clan shouted madly, cheering for their kings.
Dragon blood was the key to keeping Behemoths in a state of frenzy, and now the Frenzied Behemoths were stirred. Their incredibly strong bodies had none of the clumsiness one might expect: With leaps that matched the height of the fortress walls, those Dragon Tamers attempting to take flight were instantly plucked from the air by the Frenzied Behemoths and torn to shreds upon the ground.
The attack method of Behemoth Beasts was simple: brute force. Absolute, bloody force.
No Dragon Tamer could resist, nor could any escape. In just five minutes, the area outside Thor Hammer Fort became a blood-soaked tempest. The Dragon Tamers were nowhere to be seen, not even a whole piece of flesh could be found. The iron-grey fur of the Frenzied Behemoths was soaked with blood, and the blood-red glow in their eyes intensified.
At that moment, the five Silver Behemoths and two Golden Behemoths joined the fray, their targets being their own kin. The massive bodies of the Frenzied Behemoths seemed like cannonballs being continually hurled through the air by these seven even mightier Behemoth Beasts, their ferocious roars as if they could tear the very air apart.
Zi stood there, watching the Behemoth Beasts fighting in the distance, knowing that this was the way the Behemoth Beasts trained. Even during practice, every Behemoth Beast was going all out, their formidable defensive power meant they had no fear of getting injured. Only through continuous combat could the Behemoth Beasts maintain their formidable fighting power that made the human nations tremble.
Feeling his blood boiling, Zi knew he couldn't stay here any longer, for he was starting to lose control of his emotions. He let out a roar that made the distant Behemoths stop their fight and turned into a purple shadow, dashing towards the left direction of Thor Hammer Fort and disappearing in the blink of an eye.
When Ye Yinzhu woke from his unconsciousness, he found himself lying in the dormitory bed. Waves of delicious food aroma made his stomach groan involuntarily.
He turned over, got up from the bed and, apart from a slight dizziness in his head, he felt no discomfort in his body. He was even a little surprised at how quickly his body had recovered. The internal injuries from the Elemental Backlash had already healed.
"You're awake. Let's eat," Sura's somewhat cold voice rang out. Two plates of vegetarian dishes and a few steamed buns were placed on the table.
"No meat today?" Ye Yinzhu asked with a smile.
Sura snorted, "Meat? Be thankful there's food at all."
Ye Yinzhu took a bite of a steamed bun, "Sura, what's wrong with you? I don't remember offending you! And just before I passed out, you were saying you're going to kill me." While talking, his hands weren't idle, and he quickly started eating the vegetarian dishes. Sura's cooking was quite good, almost beyond reproach.
"What's wrong with me?" Sura gritted his teeth, "Who asked you to win, who asked your Divine Music Department to win? Why are you so strong, and why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"Ah? You never asked me!" Ye Yinzhu replied, puzzled, "Sura, what's wrong with you? I remember my dad saying that only people going through menopause have unstable emotions. You can't be going through an early menopause, can you?"
"You..." Sura's face darkened even more, and suddenly, he started to cry loudly, "My money! You bastard, you made me lose all my money. I, I'm going to kill you, kill you." As he spoke, a dagger somehow appeared in his hand again, waving through the air as if slicing Ye Yinzhu instead of the air.
"I made you lose money? I remember you only bet One Gold Coin. Besides, since you bet on the Divine Music Department to win, how could you lose money?" Ye Yinzhu was confused.
"This..." The crying stopped, and Sura glanced at Ye Yinzhu, looking embarrassed and lowering his head, "Actually, I didn't have much faith in the Divine Music Department winning, so I put all my money on the Dark Demon Sect. I just wanted to make some money to improve my life. But who knew, you guys, you actually won."
Hearing this, Ye Yinzhu finally understood and frowned, "I've always said gambling is bad. Why did you still gamble?"
