New Heizen

"Damn it, if others find out you killed people outside the catacomb you will be dead." Balor roared. His eyes were red and he was furious.

He then looked at Heizen who was ready to kill him in one strike in fear. He didn't understand how they could lose to this person. Their team has a higher level, gear, and number. But now he was desperate and on the verge of death.

Hearing his shout, Bernard's face was ugly. He was also afraid that someone would notice their fight. If anyone reported them, they should forget about returning to Ravenwood Town.

Even the Seeker Adventurer team wouldn't save them. That's why, he never thought Balor would dare to kill. 

"Don't worry, there is no one near our surroundings. Moreover, they tried to attack us at this time. So, they must have made some preparation."

Heizen said after seeing Bernard's entanglement. He was good at everything but seemed quite naive for a middle-aged man.

"We just need to kill him fast, destroy the traces and we are good," Heizen said mercilessly.

He didn't know why his behavior had changed. This was the first time he killed someone, but he didn't feel bad. Instead, he found the outlet for his rage accumulated from all the deadly encounters.

Yes, he felt refreshed. It was as if he let go of something in his mind. However, whether it was good or bad, time would tell. Maybe this was due to his earlier drive to grow stronger when facing death.

Outsiders may see his behavior as sudden, or even outright crazy. But if you paid enough attention, you would find he had paid enough.

If he still acted like before, his fate would be even worse. So, he was ready to embrace this world and its way of survival.

"Let's let lose and see who will survive last." Heizen thought.

"Swoosh," he once again disappeared from his position and appeared behind Balor. Shadow Step was an excellent skill. It was almost instantaneous within 60 meters.

"Cling," however once someone was alert, it wasn't that easy to kill like before. Especially when he had an excellent Combat Relex.

Balor parried his attack while dodging the exploding arrows with extreme precision. Even with Bernard and Bowen's obstruction, he could still fight even when surrounded.

However, one person was never enough for a group fight. This was the absolute truth when the opponent was someone as slippery as Heizen.

Balor tried his best but couldn't see a way out. Though his fighting power was high, he was alone and helpless. Excellent gear and weapons could save him for a while but couldn't save his life from this predicament. He knew he lost the initiative. 

"Damn it, damn it." He cursed in extreme annoyance. His face was hideous with uncontrollable anger.

"You forced me. You assholes forced me to do this. Since you don't want me to live, let's die together."

Balor roared in unwillingness. His eyes were red and he was crazy. He quickly made a decision and immediately took out a scroll from his ring and began to unfold it.

Suddenly, the air around them began to vibrate. The Mana from a 200-meter radius rushed directly into the scroll and the ominous air filled the surroundings.

"No, stop him." Seeing the scroll, Sophie shouted in fear. She and Sarah were just ready to fire the spell and join the fight.

Heizen also looked at the scroll solemnly. Hearing Balor's threat, it was easy to deduce that it must be a large-scale destruction spell. Without hesitation, he used the Shadow Step and appeared behind Balor.

"Whiz," his Eclipse blade aimed precisely at the hand unfolding the scroll.

However, how could Balor allow such an obvious attack? His other arm swung the axe and stopped the blade perfectly.

Seeing that the scroll was fully unfolded his lips curled upwards and he sneered in perverted joy,

"Let's die together."

Just when he was expecting to see the desperate look on Heizen, he heard two words in his ears.

"Shadow Domain."

With a soft command, everything returned to darkness within 100 meters. The scroll that was accumulating mana became sluggish and stopped impromptu.

"Plop," a crescent light cut the hand that was holding the scroll throwing it far.

"Ahhh," Balor was perplexed and roared in pain when he suddenly felt his vision expanded. At his final moment, he saw his body without a head leaning towards the ground.

"Thud," his loud cry stopped abruptly in the darkness, leaving only the sound of a dropping body and tumbling head.

The darkness receded fast just as it had appeared suddenly. Everything happened within less than a second.

Bernard, Bowen, Sarah, and Sophie looked at the head rolling on the ground in bewilderment. It happened so fast that they were still in extreme anxiety about the scroll.

"Hah, hah," Heizen crouched down while rapidly breathing. His head was throbbing badly. It was a really bad idea to use Shadow Domain after using the skill Shadow Step so many times. 

Though his mental power was high, it couldn't support such a high consumption. So, the domain didn't even last a second before ending abruptly. 

If he was a step late, they would be dead. However, everything was fine now. He rested for a minute and stood up. He still had something to do. He quickly collected all the bodies around him by his vines. 

"I will deal with the bodies, you guys clear the traces. We would leave this place immediately." Heizen ordered and began to drag the bodies without explanation. 

Everyone looked at his leaving figure in surprise. Today, they really saw a different him. Earlier, he was still that frivolous boy who would joke around without caring about anything. 

But now, the broad back that exudes endless strength and the dead bodies around him signified a different him.

Maybe, this was the new Heizen. A bold new figure, ready to embark on an endless, perilous adventure, determined to carve his place in the world.
