Life Gate Dungeon!

Heizen nervously tugged at the door, but it seemed to be tightly locked. 

"Hah," after taking deep breaths to calm his nerves, he paid attention to his surroundings.

The room was dimly lit with green light. So, there was no issue with vision.

However, the chamber was unusually large in both height and width. There were also various funnel-shaped huge pieces of equipment and barrels scattered throughout the space. The walls were covered with cabinets, most of which were already in ruins.

He wasn't sure why, but it reminded him of a laboratory. The only concern was the size. It was too large.

"Growl. zzz."

While Heizen was paying attention to the room, he heard a low, menacing snarl from his right. Due to the echo, it was particularly loud and clear. 

Without hesitation, he quickly latched to the funnel-shaped equipment with extreme nervousness as he knew, it wasn't a rat demon. 

But he still proceeded carefully towards the sound, trying not to make a noise since being passive in the fight was very costly.

After walking a few meters, he noticed a green creature devouring something on the ground. It was about the size of a bear, with sharp claws and fearsome tusks.

Just then, a dim blue screen appeared in front of his eyes.

What the hell? He was wondering why there wasn't an information panel when killing rat demons earlier.

"So, rat demon wasn't even level 1?" Heizen thought. That was the only possible explanation. 

"If I kill this boar, I can level up easily." He paused and stepped gently behind it. Despite the danger, it was worth the risk.

He was extra careful. So, in no time, he was behind the giant body of the boar.

However, before he had time to stab the knife, the Green Boar suddenly turned around and looked at him. 

"Shit, shit, shit." His heart came to his throat.

Without fighting, he ran through the equipment because he was no match head-on. 

"Roar." Heizen heard a deep growl with heavy footsteps behind him. If he got caught, he was done for. 

Thank god, there were so many large equipment. It was relatively easy to hide his small figure. 

While he was running, he was also looking for a way out. However, the hall was too big and there was no visible exit. 

Since the boar was behind him, he was changing his location frequently. Suddenly, he saw a row of huge barrels at the side. 

So, he quickly ran behind it to hide.

"Sqeak." However, suddenly a rat demon with a huge claw pounced on him. 

When Heizen saw this, he was delighted instead. Without caring about anything else, he thrust the knife and dragged its body to the ground. 

"Squeak, zzz, Squeak." 

His reaction speed was good after all the fighting.

Heizen repeatedly plunged his knife again and again until the rat's body began to dissolve.

Without caring about anything else, Heizen quickly added 3 points to strength and 2 points to his agility. 

Suddenly, the white mass rotated rapidly in his mind and released a gentle current. 

He quickly found that he was much stronger than before. His body also felt lighter.

However, it wasn't as spontaneous as he had expected. He could clearly feel the whole process.

His right arm was also partially healed. He had never felt this good after entering this dungeon. 

"Thump, thump", "Growl,zzzz."

While he was doing this, the boar had already discovered his hiding spot.

So, without hiding, he caught the knife with his right arm and went towards the Green Boar. 

The Boar roared and charged through the barrels splashing green rancid liquid everywhere. 

Since it was a charged attack, he rolled to the right side and dodged hurridley. Although it wasn't a good view, he was at least out of danger. 

He quickly stood up and stabbed the knife through the neck of the Boar. Since his strength has increased, the knife lodged deeply into the skin of that monster. 

However, he overestimated his knife. How can a kitchen knife last long in such a fight?

Without any suspicion, the handle of the knife broke directly due to heavy pressure. 

"Roar." 

The Green Boar roared in pain and swung his tusk to his abdomen in reflex. 

Everything happened so fast, that Heizen had no chance to dodge. The sharp tusk punctured his rib and flung him across the barrel. 

He rolled over two meters in pain. All the smugness of increased strength went through his head. 

"Fuck." He cursed at his stupidity. He should have planned the fight slowly instead of going head-on. 

Fortunately, the bed sheet at his back cushioned his fall so his back wasn't injured. 

While the Boar was still distracted, he quickly tore apart the rough bed sheet and wrapped it around his ribs. 

Now he has no weapon so he must finish this fight fast. Since his agility was higher than that of the Boar monster, he was going to kite it. 

So, Heizen quickly caught up with the monster and hit the knife with his leg. He was extra careful since it was madly attacking everywhere. 

After five minutes of fighting and kicking the knife with his boots, the boar weakened due to blood loss. So, he kicked at the lodged knife and killed him with great difficulty. 

"Hah, Why is even a level-one monster so hard to kill?"

He sat on the floor while gasping his breath. He underestimated his enemy and overestimated his strength. 

Without proper tools and strategy, even a low-level monster could kill him easily. 

While he was thinking, the blue aura was absorbed in his body and a system sound appeared in his mind.

Come to think of it, though this was a "Life Gate Dungeon" it was too deserted. 

There were so few monsters along the way. How could a dungeon have a few monsters and rats that weren't even level one? 

He was having a hard time because he didn't have the necessary training, equipment, and strategy. 

Maybe this was an abandoned dungeon. The system also said "Lost Dungeon" before. 

Leaving random thoughts behind, Heizen quickly checked his injuries. Though his ribs were punctured, it wasn't fatal.

However, he couldn't become willful like before. Heizen warned himself in his heart. 

He first unpacked his bag and cleaned his wound with water. After taking one last sip, he was now out of water. So, the alternative was very necessary now. 

After that, he looked at the corpse of the boar which had become unrecognizable. His knife was also blunt and unusable. 

But the two tusks of the Boar weren't dissolved like before. So, at least there wasn't a lack of weapons. 

He picked up the two tusks and walked toward the middle of the hall. He could still hear the "Squeak" sound of a rat demon from the other end. 

However, he now needed to find the exit or at least some supply. 

So, he walked through the large machinery funnel and arrived in the middle of the room. 

"Woah" Once he was at the location, Heizen was shocked.

He saw a huge statue of a green dragon supported by a massive pillar. It was so magnificent and lifelike.

On the right side, there was a spiral staircase leading upward. 

He quickly came in front of the statue to see if could find anything.

Just when he was getting closer, he felt a terrible aura smashed his body from the right.

He was shivering just from the aura. This was an instinctive fear from the life level. 

Since there was such a massive statue, Heizen was distracted. So, he didn't see a throne on his right side. 

When he paid attention to the direction of the aura, he saw a large human skeleton sitting on the throne.

There are scattered tables and chairs around that person. It looked like a large conference hall. 

Though the skeleton was of a human, he wasn't sure.

"Maybe some giant species?" Heizen thought. 

After adopting the aura around the skeleton, Heizen wasn't as uncomfortable as before. 

He also saw something in the hand of the skeleton. So, he slowly walked while paying attention to his surroundings. 

After coming near, he saw the thing in the hand of the skeleton was a test tube with green liquid. 

"Oh! Is it a rejuvenation potion?"

He remembered the system's hint when choosing this door before. So this must be the potion on the hint. 

"Should I grab it?" Heizen was in a dillema. "There shouldn't be any problem since it is good luck, right?"

He thought and slowly took off the potion from the skeleton.

Just when he thought he was successful, the big skeleton withered at a speed visible to the naked eye. 

Suddenly, a dark green light pierced his forearm. He felt a stinging pain and a leaf-like tattoo appeared on his arm. 

Though Heizen quickly reacted, it was too late. Just then, the system voice appeared again in his mind.
