3-Star Affinity?

After giving his ticket to a blue-robbed boy, he climbed the stage towards the mage. 

He was unsure if he had any elemental affinity at all. After all, he wasn't from this world. It would be embarrassing if the crystal showed no change. 

With such thoughts, he arrived next to the Mana crystal. 

"Place your hand on the top of this crystal and relax your nerves."

The Mage Ruther said while extending the ball towards him. 

Heizen took a deep breath and placed his hand on the smooth surface. 

Just then, a barely detectable current passed through his entire body in a flash. 

The crystal ball also showed changes. However, he saw three dark lights swirling inside. 

Just when Heizen thought he had a 3-star dark affinity, the Life Seal on his arm glowed faintly. 

Three green lights rapidly enveloped the dark light position and it was showing the increasing trend. 

Seeing that it was getting near the 4-star, Heizen quickly tried to retract the Life Seal in his mind. Since he was wearing a long-sleeved dress, nobody noticed the anomaly. 

"Well, 3-star dark attribute dominated by 3-star life affinity. It is a pity they aren't balanced." Mage Ruther said regretfully. 

"You have good potential. You can choose your direction after entering the academy. For now, stand back with them." Mage Ruther said in a good mood. 

Though Life Affinity wasn't combat-oriented, it was still a good talent. 

Heizen walked to the back and asked the system in his mind, 

"System, what happened just now?" He almost spilled the bean right then. 

He didn't know what danger he would encounter if someone saw his Life Seal.

[Life Seal has detected the matching power. The host can absorb it to recharge.]

"Ok, that's good news." Heizen was happy. Finally, he got some great notifications from this dog system. 

After arriving at the back, he saw Sarah and Sophie waving at him from the crowd. He also waved back to thank them. 

Just then, someone tapped his shoulder from behind. 

"Hey, do you also want to join the Darkwind Academy?" A sweet voice of a girl asked. 

The girl was slightly shorter than him, with long black hair and a petite figure. 

"No, I will join the Sirus Mage Academy." Heizen didn't want to change the academy yet. 

"Oh!" The girl seemed slightly disappointed. Maybe, she was looking for a friend. 

"But we can be friends and share information at times," Heizen proposed. 

He did need a friend who majored in dark elements. After all, without Life Seal, he would probably joined the Darkwind Academy like her. 

"Ok, my name is Annie," the girl introduced herself. 

"I am Heizen." 

Both of them greeted each other. 

"Ok, the test is completed." Mage Ruther stood up and said. 

"Next test will be after 1 year." He then looked back and ordered them. 

"You all follow this senior to the Academy. He will help you with everything. You can ask him if there is any problem." 

After saying that, Mage Ruther disappeared in a flash. Seeing such, the crowd began to loudly cheer. 

Heizen was also shocked. 

"Damn, if I had that ability, I can run even faster."

Heizen thought but then silently laughed. 

"What am I even thinking?"

"Ok, you juniors follow me to the Academy. Let's first register and get you an identity." 

A man in a blue robe came forward and asked them to follow his lead. 

Heizen followed along with other people. He noticed that the two girls had already gone inside. 

The Mage Academy was really big. The large building was similar to the Medieval European style.

However, the murals, majestic statues, and occasional flashing of magic lights directly set it apart from any other mortal structure. 

The group followed the senior along the wide pavement and arrived at the huge hall. 

Heizen saw a huge crystal ball floating inside the building. Numerous lights were flashing rapidly inside the crystal making it look even more amazing. 

Seeing that everyone was watching the crystal in bewilderment, the senior said with some pride. 

"This is the Mana-Archive that our Academy has developed. It is connected to other crystals throughout the Frostwind Continent.

The role of this prop is to record all the information of students in this academy, register them, and give them an identity. 

It can also issue missions, give rewards, and many other things. 

The main body of the Mana-Archive is located inside the Headquarters. So, even if one of the areas loses the crystal, your information won't be lost. 

Moreover, once you register, you don't need to re-register throughout the continent." 

The senior introduced them carefully and took them towards the reception. 

He briefly spoke with the girl at the front desk before leading them to a separate room.

In the middle of the room, they saw a miniature Mana-Archive floating atop a desk. 

"Ok, make a line and place your hand on the top of this crystal. It will record your mana signature and give you an identity." Senior said. 

So, everyone orderly followed the queue and placed their hand on the top. 

Senior made a note and gave each of them a card from below the desk. There seemed to be a mechanism. 

After some time, it was Heizen's time. Just like before, he felt that some light current passed through his entire body. 

However, this time the current returned to the crystal from his hand. 

"Here, this is your identity card. Don't lose them. You need this everywhere in the academy." Senior continued. 

"If you lose them, it would cost you mana crystal to re-apply. Ok, next." 

Heizen quickly came to the back and looked at the card in his hand. It was made up of some kind of hard substance that had a faint glow. 

There was only his name and Sirus Mage Academy's insignia on the card. But it gave him a noble feeling. 

Finally, he felt like he belonged to this world. Though he didn't show any feelings, he always felt out of tune with this world. 

Now, with an identity and a few friends that he had made, he was considered gaining some foothold in this world, right?
