ANGELINE walked back to the full-length mirror and took one last look. She's wearing a long white silk dress with a slit on her legs above her knee. It had spaghetti straps and a low back. It was paired with her two-inch white sandals as she could not stand wearing high-heeled stiletto sandals and a matching clutch. Her long ash-white hair was set in big curls and pinned back on one side.
She decided not to wear the earrings attached to her dress. As she stared at it, some images of Jacob using it to prick his hand to draw blood for her. And when she held it in her palm, it was like she felt vital energy in it. It wasn't ordinary earrings that his grandmother gift to her on her sixteenth birthday.
