Jacob laughed, looking at the face of his sound asleep wife. "You could say that. She still acts like a real human being, except she got the vampire's power. Though she could hide what she is of course, with the help of Nana. She knew about Angeline when she was a toddler that her parents were vampires. And what's funny about it, I even saved her in the woods when she was about four years old."

"I can understand your reaction because it sounds surreal. I found her the day her mother was beheaded by Mallory's father. They have a big house in the woods."
