The day after the great split of the X-Men and now Hope and her team her team face a great threat. The X-men themselves. Magneto, Storm, Colossus, Namor, Psylocke, Magik, and Boom-Boom.

" Oh, come on! How is this fair?" Bart asked in disbelief.

Namor smirked at the boy who had annoyed him and slammed his fists together. " It's not meant to be fair. That's the point." Namor said to the boy.

As he spoke Bart felt a chilling sensation creep up his spine at Namor's smile.

" Okay, team. I know we haven't been a team very long. You may still feel like we're nobodies-- to you, to the world. But I can promise. We may just be getting started. And that means no one is prepared for what we're gonna do next. Now, let's make our mark." Hope said to the team in an attempt to boost their morale.

" Target and engage, team. Remember how to pick your opponent." Hope declared as the two teams started their fight.

Bart started running and his first target was the team's telepath, Psylocke. ' Take out the telepath, keeps her from disorientating the others.' Bart thought.

' That would be a great plan, if your mental defenses weren't so weak.' Psylocke said to the boy telepathically. Psylocke then swung her blade at Bart.

" Limbo, time!" Bart joked as he ducked under the blade effortlessly. Bart reached down and grabbed the woman's leg and lifted her up and threw her into the air.

Psylocke tumbled as she was flung into the air and recomposed herself, landing on her feet just in time for Gabriel to hit her in the back of the head.

" Ugh! One of these quick idiots is hard enough. Dealing with two is just ridiculous." Psylocke stated as she composed herself.

" Can't you just shut off their minds? I got a little explosion for the both of them." boom-boom asked the woman.

" Their thoughts are moving much faster now. I can't grab hold of either of their minds." Psylocke explained to the girl.

" Ahaaaa! Won't catch me that easy." Bart gloated as he dodged Boom-Booms explosions. However, his face turned to horror as he turned to see colossus' fist right in his face. Bart leaned out of the way slightly stumbling as he dodged the man's large fist only to then immediately run into Namor's strong arms. " Arrghh!" Bart grunted as namor squeezed his body.

Namor smirked and continued squeezing. " I caught you what are you going to do now, boy?" Namor asked.

Bart grunted and started vibrating in Namor's arms. " Ngh, arrgh, ARGGHHHH!" Bart yelled as his body started speeding up further and further. Namor's eyes widened as he struggled to keep the boy in his arms, however seconds later Bart phased right through Namor's body and came loose. Bart looked to see he was out of Namor's grasp and let out a startling laugh of excitement.

" He just phased out of Namor's hold." Emma stated in disbelief.

" The boy's body vibrated until he was able to match the gap in Namor's molecules. Allowing him to phase right through him." Danger the robot explained to the woman as they continued watching the mock battle.

Scott smirked and then looked over at Emma tauntingly as, Emma had placed her money on hope's team losing miserably.

" Oh, don't look so smug, dear." Emma said to the man only making him grin wider.

" Oh, Danger get those two over there." Scott said to Danger as he spotted Kenji and Magneto confronting each other. " We're already harboring Kenji after his mutation killed all those people in Tokyo. Magneto may not be the best mentor."

" Every man is infinitely more complex than his image." Magneto told the boy as he floated above him. " I have often chosen to teach young mutants in need of a lesson."

" Well, you know what is said. Those who can't do, teach." Kenji said to Magneto before stuffing his tendrils down the man's throat and nose.

Magneto gasped in pain as he suffocated and reached out using his power of magnetism to rip Kenji's metal like body in half.

"YEEEAAARGGGH!" Kenji yelled in pain as his body was ripped apart.

Everyone turned to the boy in shock.

" KENJI! EVERYONE GET BACK!" Scott yelled as he ran towards the boy and Magneto

' you bastard!" Hope yelled as she ran to her friend.

" Excuse me?" Magneto asked in confusion as he composed himself.

Kenji suddenly shot up in anger and attacked magneto.

" Kenji! Stop!" Hope yelled as she stopped the boy from attacking.

" Erik! What the hell is wrong with you?" Scott asked the man.

" Calm yourself, Scott. The boy is a self-healing, uniform system. He doesn't have bones to break or organs." Erik explained to scott in his own defense.

" This was a training exercise!" Scott yelled.

" And I just trained him. For what a child among the X-men can expect in their future." Magneto explained to the man harshly, however his words spoke truth as being an X-man almost certainly guaranteed a gruesome death in most cases.

Sensing that tensions were raising, Bart leaned over and whispered into Laurie's ear. " Eh, I think I'm a slip away before things get heated. You wanna come?" Bart asked the girl.

" No, I think I'm gonna see if Kenji's okay. I'll see you later, Bart." Laurie said to the boy.

Bart nodded and in a flash was gone.

As he ran Bart looked out over the sea and suddenly stopped. " Man, this place is kinda of cool. When you're not getting shot at anyway. Seeing there was a gathering on the beach, Bart ran down and joined the party, stopping in front of one, Ashida Noriko. " Hey, how's it going?!" Bart yelled as he suddenly stopped in front of the girl.

Noriko screamed and fell backwards as Bart suddenly appearing startled her. Noriko fell toward the ground but was caught last second by Bart himself.

" Hehe. Hey, sorry bout that. Didn't mean to startle ya." Bart said to the girl.

Noriko looked up at Bart speechless, for a moment until it hit her the position, they were in. " You can let me go now." Noriko stated bluntly.

Bart laughed and helped Nori stand straight before letting the girl go. " Again, sorry about that." Bart apologized to the woman once again.

" No, problems. Just not used to people popping up like that." Noriko explained.

" So, what's going on down here? There a party going on?" Bart asked the girl.

" Nah, everyone just got out of class. Or what qualifies for class on this island. Honestly, I think we should have gone with Mr. Logan. But hey what are you going to do." Noriko said to the boy.

" You know he said we could go anytime we want. So, why don't you?" Bart asked the woman.

" I can't leave my team behind. The New-Mutants. I mean the New X-Men are my friends. We went through a lot together. Why didn't you go?" Noriko asked the boy.

Bart rubbed the back of his head and then turned to see Laurie arriving and blushed.

Noriko turned to see what the boy was smiling at and then grinned at Bart. " Oh, so you got a thing for blue, Huh? That's cute." Noriko slightly teased Bart, taking enjoyment over the boy's flustered face and even laughing as he tried defending himself. " Why don't you ask her out?" Noriko asked the boy.

" Uh. I mean I do like Laurie. But we just met. I mean we've only known each other for about a week and I don't want her to think I'm weird or anything." Bart explained to the woman.

Noriko looked up at Bart and laughed again. " Bart, look around. We're all weird. Just talk to her about it. Trust me, I got a feeling she likes you too." Noriko said to the boy.

" Yeah? What makes you think she'd go out with me?" Bart asked the girl.

" Bart, trust me. If there's one thing the X-Men are known for its randomly hooking up with one another. Just give it a shot." Noriko stated.

Bart looked over at Laurie and smiled. " Maybe. I'll think about it for now, I think I should focus on getting the hang of this team thing." Bart replied.

' Everyone, new plan. Gather at the training spot. We've got a new light. We're teleporting in five.' Hope telepathically messaged every member of the lights.

Bart sighed. " Sorry to cut our talk short, Hope says we're needed. Oh, wait how rude of me. I never asked you your name." Bart suddenly stated.

Noriko smirked and stood up. " It's Noriko. Noriko Ashida." Noriko said to Bart as she extended her hand.

Bart smiled and shook Noriko's hand enthusiastically. " Well, Noriko, I hope to see you around again. Later." Bart said to the girl before running away. ' She was nice.' Bart thought to himself as he jogged towards the training field. Bart arrived just as Pixie and Gabriel were and met with them and Hope. Soon after him came Laurie.

" Alright, Pixie, can you teleport us to specific coordinates? When I stole celeste's telepathy I got a good read of our target locale." Hope explained to Megan.

" As long as we know we won't appear inside a solid object." Megan replied.

" I've got topography as well. Where's zero?" Hope asked.

And as if on cue Kenji started walking towards the group with a friend in hand. " Code names already? As you see, I'm here. And I took the liberty of inviting another young mutant. Everyone, this is Martha Johansson. Or, if you insist on superhero cliches, No-Girl." Kenji said as he introduced the small brain in the jar to the team. " And Martha this is... Oh god, have we come up with a better name than the lights?" Kenji asked.

Kenji laughed and rubbed the top of Martha's jar seemingly as if they were having a conversation.

" That's all right. Maybe you can devise a brilliant signature for us, with that exquisite brain of yours." Kenji said to Martha.

" Can we please just teleport blindly into deadly battle already?" Laurie asked.

Pixie nodded and began chanting her spell. " SIHAL NOVARUM CHINOTH!" Pixie chanted and, in a flash, the entire team was off towards their next light. Ready for whatever the world threw at them next. Or so they thought.

Across the world in the break of night a portal opened and a man in yellow and black suit ran through with the same speed and lightning that Bart had. The man's body vibrated and his eyes glowed red. The man looked around and seemed to be genuinely confused by his location. The man stopped vibrating and pulled off his mask revealing a slightly older man, with dark brown hair, and blue eyes.

" Gideon. Where am I?" The man asked.

" The twenty-first century....... Professor Thawne." The man's ai responded.
