"You talk to peoplea lot," Anderson said. "Interviews, phone calls, lunches, dinners. There's also a lot of desk work: building profiles, putting them in the database, looking for overlaps. Markers, they're called. Major markers, minor markers, you need a certain percentage of each. There are one hundred major markers, and about five hundred minor markers. A solid romantic match has at least eighty major markers in common and at least forty percent minor markers."
"Only forty percent?"
Anderson shrugged but didn't reply as they entered the coffee shop. There was a small lull in the buzz of conversation, but Anderson ignored it. "You grab us coffee. I'll find a table."
"Yes, master." Lynn kissed the back of his hand then headed for the line at the counter.
