Private investigator
Kang Mi Cha paced back and forth in her room, she had been trying to figure out why Li Mu Chen wouldn't even agree on a second date with her, it's been over nine months and it seemed as if their planned relationship was heading nowhere.
"or was it the waitress, did he pick a common waitress over me?" she thought to herself as she landed on her king-sized bed staring at the ceiling.
Speaking of the waitress, her mind flashed back to the little conversation they had, she had promised to make her life miserable. she hadn't forgotten.
She had just been in the spotlight a lot more recently due to the launch of her new fashion brand and she hadn't had time for a lowly waitress. Good thing it's all over now.
she was going to Mayfield to visit the little wench.
perhaps she could be the link to Mu Chen.
the more she thought about that night the angrier she got.
"He was holding an umbrella for her, he walked under the rain for a waitress, she even has his card."
Her last thought struck her.
"She had his card," she immediately projected herself sitting in an upright position.
"Perhaps he had decided to go for her instead.
could this be?"
"arrrrrggggg Mi Cha you're so dumb. Why didn't you think of this earlier?"
She let out, clenching her fists tightly.
She had loved Mu Chen for so long to let a mere waitress steal him from her.
Her mind quickly flashed back to, high school, she remembered writing him several letters and sending him secret gifts. but he never responded, he wouldn't even take a second look at her.
She had scorned every girl that ever came close to Mu Chen secretly.
She was obsessed with him. It was Mu Chen or no one.
"I better get to work" she stretched her hands to get her phone lying freely at the other side of the bed close to the edge.
"Hello, is this the Rin agency? she asked clearing her throat slightly
A young lady had picked up the phone
"yes ma'am how can we help you?"
"I'd like to speak to the manager of your agency, can you set up a meeting in an hour.
Well... I'm not sure ma'am I would..."
"Do you have any idea with whom you are speaking?" she cut the receptionist speech slightly angered.
" I'm Kang Mi Cha, daughter of governor Kang. the meeting will be in an hour."
"yes, ma'am" the young lady replied with a shaky voice.
The line went off as Mi Cha made her way to her closet, she needed to look as plain as possible, even her plain was expensive, she was a popular figure hence she didn't want to be recognized today, not when she will be meeting with the big boss of Rin agency, she didn't trust a phone conversation for this.
She wanted to make sure whatever she discussed with him was classified, she got into her black sedan, Ryuk the driver assigned to her had offered to drive her but she had declined, she put on her black face cap and drove off.
Of course, her father was very protective, All her cars had trackers and movements were monitored from time to time except the black sedan.
She got there at exactly 3:30 pm and got down from the building, it was a storey building with an expensive but archaic building design, they were generally involved in providing persons needed to act as another person, or an experienced investigator who could track a person's activities.
That was one she needed, she needed someone to follow Mu Chen and keep tabs of his various locations.
she walked into the building pushing the huge glass doors. looked around the waiting area as she gently approached the reception desks "I'm Kang Mi Cha."
The receptionist was immediately at alert as she immediately directed her to the Big Boss office, everyone who worked at Rin had a confidentiality agreement signed, failure to keep up with the terms attracted a significant amount of money none of them could afford in a lifetime. They were not to discuss or talk about anyone they saw walked into the agency.
"Miss Mi Cha, why are you here? I was surprised to hear you called. trouble in paradise?" he asked with a grin that revealed his tobacco-stained teeth from the side of his mouth. He always had a flair for making the most serious things look insignificant.
"I want someone followed," she said without blinking her eyes
"Who could this be?"
"Ceo of LI Corporation Li Mu Chen"
"Li Mu Chen," he said repeated slowly
"Following Li Mu Chen would be quite risky. The bigger the risk the more the cost." that ole again, which was pissing Mi Cha off
"I'll pay whatever amount, as long as I get the information I need," she said firmly.
"Alright," he said trying to observe her and phantom why she would want Li Mu Chen followed.
It would cost you 100000 bucks you can transfer the money to the account printed on this card account he said handing over the card containing the account details to her.
she stopped his hand's mid-air.
"There would be no need for that I'll pay cash."
She said handing over 2 stacks of 100 dollar notes to him.
"Each stack is 50,000 bucks" she added
"But I need your investigator first thing in the morning tomorrow, time isn't my friend."
"Yes, ma'am" he replied collecting the money.
he stretched out his arms and shook her hands as she took a U-turn to leave his office.
"your best investigator," she repeated
One last thing, she said and paused for a while looking at the big boss.
"I was never here," she said in a cold tone as she walked out of his office.
Mi Cha couldn't get her mind off the waitress, the more she thought of it the more likely it was that she was with him.
She decided to stop by Mayfield, to look for her.
She drove for about 10 minutes and got into the building. she approached the receptionist on duty at Mayfield.
"Hello good afternoon ma'am, how may we help you?" she greeted Mi Cha with a bright smile
"I need information," she said in a low tone.
her smile quickly changed to a frown.
"I'm sorry ma'am we don't give out information on our guest here."
"not on your guest", she retorted immediately
"on a waitress, she said in a faint voice as she brought out some dollar notes placing them on the table.
Her eyes pooped out,
"I need the money, besides it not on a guest she thought to herself as she discreetly collected the money.
"Which one?"
