Chosing The Weapon

Once Nina was gone after her class was over, Cruzer felt the weight of Nina's word sunk in. He had been fortunate to catch Nina's attention, but he knew that this newfound connection to the Hazerlink family, and particularly to someone as formidable as her, would stir trouble.

Glancing at the eyes of his classmates, he could already sense it: jealousy, envy, and even a touch of fear. Some whispered amongst themselves, casting sideways glances in his direction, their curiosity piqued by his easy rapport with Nina, who was known to speak little more than necessary to her students.

One student, from the Silver Serpents, fumed silently. He had already been humiliated in front of everyone earlier in class when Nina's overwhelming aura had made him faint. Now, seeing Cruzer casually chatting with their stern instructor was salt in the wound.
