"Sheila!! Are you okay!? "

"Y-yes.. I'm fine"

I'm Zelgard, currently I'm fighting against one of the top cadets pilots within the academy, a very tough opponent that il never able to defeat in the traditional ways.

Her way using her scythe, her chaotic ways of movement , her feints, and many more things that I'll never be able to pull out was thrown at me in a ridiculous ways. I could never match her skill and precision, she also two step ahead of me in everything.

Not to mention, her partner was also an expert at giving her support while in our side we were both inexperience.

I'm such a loser, I can't just make reasons for something like that, I should blame my lack of skills, thanks to me sheila was suffering because of me..

I knew a huge and devastating swing was going to come from our right side, but I didn't have the time to properly dodge or defend against it.

And as a result of my blunders, I was causing Sheila to suffer in pain which she tried to hide.

Even though we're together piloting the Einjard, she is the one feeling the pain from it. Her nerves we're connected from the back of her spine and everything that injure the Einjard will ended up making her suffered.

My countless mistakes, my lack of skills, and my lack of everything.

I thought I could change the moment I became an Einjard Pilot, but it just the same as the way it did before.

"Sheila!! What's our damage status? "

"S-some of places are severely damaged, but we could continue the fight."

"AAAAAHHH!!! " Sheila shout in pain as the scythe Pierce (D)evourer abdoment.

"Sheilaa!!"

Things looking bad, I know this is a mock battle but the intensity was so terrifying that made me shivers all around my bodies.

Their bloodlust covered in their calmness making me know we're being outmatched in every aspect.

We might be superior in data, but that's it.. There's nothing I could do in order turn this up.

"I'm so sorry.. Because of me.. Because of me.. "

"N-no it's fine.."

"NO IT'S NOT! YOUR BEING HURT! LET'S STOP THIS!!! "

"Let's just give up Sheila..."

[Seriously? What the hell I'm I doing?]

"This is just a mock battle"

"Yes... That's why I must give everything I had, if I want to save my little brother.. If I want to save everything that dear to me... I Must never given up! " Sheila said with such a vigor in her eyes.

That words just hit me right in my head, as she take over the control from me forcefully.

"RAAAARRRGGHH!! "

Sheila who taking over the control started to fight back,i don't know how but in the heat of the battle the (D)evourer she control suddenly covered in a red mist. I know she has an ability for regeneration, but not to that extent.

Those damages we received suddenly started to getting cured in short amount of time.

She started to unleash a flurries erratic And aggressive attack towards Aiko Einjard without a care, but what surprising me is the core was responding to her vigor as she scream.

*CLAAAANK

*SLAAASH!

Finally, She managed to land a clean hit on Aiko, landing a devastating blow. I could even hear her scream from here, the hit had definitely affected Aiko so bad and I could tell the fight was starting to turnin into our favor.

But, this was far from over.

Aiko take a step back and pulled out her shield, I could imagine they are getting serious because they change the main pilots as they used a different stances.

This time, the one who fighting definitely wasn't Aiko, but her partner who usually in charge in battle.

I could imagine they were determined to win this battle. Her partner was the reasons they being known as one of the strongest cadet in the academy.

Gerd Micheal, the one who being acknowledged as a particular man who know to attack and defending against any opponent. A very gifted man who excels at battles, unlike someone like me.

"Sheila!! They used a different patterns now! Her Scythe would turn into a spear! "

As I expected, Aiko's scythe transformed into a spear the moment she got close enough to us. This added more chaos to the fight, as we exchange blows with their new weapons.

*CLAANKK!!

The battle was getting more intense and it seemed like there was no clear end in sight, but I definitely know we could win this fight because there's something wrong with the way their fighting.

*CLAAAANK

"SHEILA!! THEIR CORE ARE OVERHEATING! THIS IS OUR CHANCE JUST FOCUS ON DEFENDING! "

"Yes!! RAAAAAAARRGGGH"

From what I noticed from watching them fight in the past, their cores' energy reserves seemed to be limited and couldn't be used for prolonged periods of time. It seemed like they were really pushing their Einjard core to the limit, especially after spamming those abilities would take a huge toll on their Einjard Core.

This is definitely their weakness, while their mechanical fighting skills were top-notch, their core energy reserves were limited and they couldn't fight for long periods of time without the risk of overheating.

"20 SECOND!! JUST 20 MORE SECOND! THEIR EINJARD WOULD SHUT DOWN! "

*CLAANKK!!

*CLAAANK!!

"BE CAREFUL! IN OUR RIGHT THE GUN WOULD HIT OUR CHEST! "

*WHOOSH!

Sheila, who had heard the warning about the bullet from our right side, managed to instinctually sidestep the bullet and avoid it, which was a brilliant move. If she hadn't dodged it, things could have gone very badly for us and now that the battle was definitely reach its climax.

"10 MORE SECONDS!! "

*CLAANKSS!!

*CLAANKSS!!!

"FIVE!!"

"FOUR!!! "

"THREE!! "

"Do you think I'm going to lose? Take this!" Michael said after taking a stance in a zero-distance and lunged forward with his spear that suddenly turn into a Scythe, releasing a fierce "GALE SLASH!" at his opponent.

"SHEILA!!! "

Luckily, Sheila's quick reflexes and animalistic instinct kicked in, allowing her to deflect the attack with her claw, saving us from a devastating blow in that short amount of time.

With that decisive final attack ended, our enemies' core are finally depleted and they can no longer operate.

"It's a good fight Sheila! " Aiko said cheerfully even tough she was losing this mock battles.

"Y-yes t-thank you" Sheila said while having a hard time to take a breathe.

Thus, the winner has been decided!
