Chapter 9 - Made Him Understand Who He was Dealing With

"Gosh! What a twisted fate is this?" Keegan looked at me with a stern face. "I'm going to resent you for all of this. How dare you, Conrad! You don't have the right to hide me from all of this!"

He thought I wanted to hide everything, when he didn't even use his head to remember how his condition was back then. "Then you shouldn't have a weak mind that you had to run yourself to drugs!" I held back my emotions when I said this.

Keegan was so clueless. With every time he was on his fucking episode, my father was losing half of his age.

When later Keegan decided to turn his life around and devoted himself to the medical world, My father as an Alpha was doing everything he could to help him. Only that this person didn't see it. He chose not to do that, like a weak werewolf he was.

Keegan laughed, and it was not even funny. "Yes Conrad. You were always her favorite and I'll always be her failure." He said, referring it to Mother.

"Shut your mouth!" My father stood up from his seat, "it's already late and I'm going back." He just didn't want to hear anymore bullshit from him.

"I could have killed her on the spot. Make sure she doesn't appear in my sight." Father stated.

After the truth unraveled that time, I begged my father to keep Eliana alive since we already wiped out the pack. It's not only her parents that died at the time. Many wolves from her pack also lost their lives.

Those investigators said Eliana had no clue of what's going on with her parents' betrayal. That little bit of facts was where I held my last sanity.

Eliana would never found, what I sacrificed to keep her alive. For her to be well and not get a single scar.

"And as for you, Conrad," My father looked at me and said, "Handle your emotions well. You're the heir of my Alpha title. Don't forget you have Stella by yourself right now."

I wouldn't forget. But how could I function well knowing she was so close to me.

- Eliana -

It was more than three hours since Keegan gave me a sign to go back. The banquet must had already ended.

Almost midnight. Around this time was perfect. There's no way I could wait anymore longer after so much humiliation.

There's only one way to make Keegan understand what he had been dealing with.

I came out from my room, sneaking out of the house and directly went to the master Manor. It was dark with only the moon as the light. I walked in silence, passing every place quietly.

I only needed to scare him, making him understand who he was dealing with.

It was also dark in his room. This man was so heedless that he didn't even slightly be bothered when I knocked out the guards in front of his door.

I was already out my claws, ready to pierce his skin. My hand was already above me as I Imagined how his skin would be torn open. The wound wouldn't be deep though. It will only graze him and definitely would be hurt.

"Argh!" His nerves woke him from his sleep as soon as the blood dripped out of him. He grabbed his shoulder, and glanced at me.

It was the light of the moon that flashing his room, making my face clearly visible under the shadow.

He rasped as his eyes met mine. "What are you doing?"

"When you don't appreciate someone touching me because I am your slave, I don't appreciate becoming one, Keegan." My expression was flat and he couldn't read what I'd been thinking when I said this. "I'm not your slave. And never would be."

I walked closer to him as he was welcoming the alarm of his senses. "You're alive because I let you." I said to him.

"What?" Keegan stood up, his emotion slightly burst and his skin turned more hairy. It seemed like he was about to change into his wolf.

And how right is that, because a second later before I continued with my words, Keegan turned into his wolf form. He had a bright white fur with a trace of black line around his neck.

He was standing there, in the middle of the room. His huge body almost filled the room completely.

This is what I hoped. I also turned into my wolf. My fur was white with a shade of gold under the moonlight. My father once told me It was a beautiful and rare color.

You really have no shame." Keegan said, showing his fangs.

We couldn't destroy the manor. I jumped out of the window, followed by Keegan. I ran so fast to the backyard as Keegan was right after me. The backyard was a wide landfield with no single house. The more it was out of reach, the better for me. After all, I couldn't make every single one be aware of my power and skill. There's one thing I learnt before killing someone as an assassin. Don't get the attention.

I reached the land and took the position as Keegan ran approaching me. He was about to snap my head with his claw, only that he didn't anticipate the fast movement from me.

I was there right on his face. My claw slashed him on the back as I jumped around him.

After a moment passed, this fight was meaningless as I was able to finish it faster after launching more attacks. Keegan was strong, but his stamina didn't match the power. It was like he never had a proper training for his wolf power.

But though Keegan was beaten, I couldn't escape a fight without any wounds. My left hand was bleeding.

"I don't think you want to continue," I said as I turned back to her human form.

Keegan let out a small whimper. My claw must have hurt him a lot as he struggled a little bit to stand. I thought the fight was finished. But I forgot he had the ring.

Keegan was back to his human form as he touched the ring on his left hand, openly speaking the spell to control me.

I was glad I encountered that ring incident with Ron and his already dead friend. Now my body was not so shocked like the last time. Every cell of mine remembered those electric pain.

Keegan, of course, was surprised to see me standing withstand the pain. He wiped the blood from his lips, wondering about the situation. "Why is it not working?"

"It's work. But not for me." I gritted my teeth saying this. Though I could hold it, a pain was still a pain.

Keegan somehow realized how I could overpass the electric pain from the collar. He then dropped down his hand, uncast the spell. "What are you?"

"Let's say, I'm a trained assassin." I let the truth come out from my mouth.
