Having taken the time to study her opponents during training Verity knew exactly what to do against Tatiana.

While Tatiana had already been gloating with her friends over her 'easy' victory.

Verity had been sizing up her opponent like Nyla and Leon taught her to do.

After her shame of hiding during the battle with Kanakika she had begged her friends to help train her and teach her all they knew.

No longer would Verity be the weakling of the group.

She made sure to practice everyday whenever there was spare time.

Long swords were too heavy for her so she learnt to fight with thin blades and smaller knives. In a real fight her weapons would be coated with poison.

She knew every trick, angle and position that would give her the advantage in either landing a killing blow or maiming her enemy.

Every second counted and the wrong decision could cost her life on the battlefield.
