Plenary Meeting

The process of buying textbooks went smoothly, much to their surprise. They had planned to go to Anping and Gu Yuena if the bookstores refused to sell them the books. But the owners didn't seem to care who they were selling to.

They were amazed by the variety of textbooks they found in the City of Miracles. At Shrek Academy, they only learned things that could enhance their strength, such as making battle armor.

To make Battle Armour, they only had to choose one aspect to study. But the textbooks in the City of Miracles covered almost everything. There were many subjects like geography, history, politics, and so on, that they thought were useless.

Xie Xie looked at the textbooks and study materials he had to read and said angrily, "What are the people in Miracle City thinking? These things won't make us stronger. They are for ordinary people. Even soul masters have to learn them."

Xie Xie was not alone in his opinion. The others didn't say anything, but they agreed with him in their hearts. They were proud soul masters, and learning these things was a waste of time for them.

Tang Wulin sighed and said, "Useful or not, we have to learn them. Whether we can enter those so-called universities for academic exchanges depends on how well we do."

Xie Xie flipped through a few pages of a book and his eyes brightened. He said, "Since we have to take exams, we can divide the subjects among us and then use Yun'er's spiritual sharing to help us pass."

The others' eyes lit up too, but Yuanen Yehui shook her head slightly and said, "Don't be foolish. If it works, it will be great. If it doesn't..."

Xie Xie was not convinced. He didn't like studying, and he argued, "How could it fail? You know that even a Titled Douluo can't easily detect Yun'er's mental detection sharing if they don't pay attention."

Yuan En Yehui's words dampened Xie Xie's spirits, and the others looked equally disheartened. The City of Miracles had a way to block even divine power. Stopping spritual power would be no big deal for them.

They realized that not only the City of Miracles, but also the Tang Sect had methods to limit soul power and mental power. They had seen them firsthand, as the key trainees of the Tang Sect.

But they still felt reluctant to spend so much time studying things that seemed irrelevant to them. Xie Xie tried again: "Teacher Wu, since we are the priority targets of the Tang Sect and the academy, shouldn't we focus on cultivation? Wouldn't it be better to leave these things to others to learn?"

Xie Xie clearly wanted to avoid this academic exchange, but before Wu Zhangkong could answer, Tang Wulin sighed and said, "Our ultimate goal is not academic exchange. Academic exchange is just a cover."

Besides, even if Anping and Gu Yuena were Dark soul masters, what about the others? People like Yun Ming, Yali, and Le Zhengen would never join the City of Miracles.
