Clark... well, for now, Malekith's Dark Elf flagship, an alien vessel resembling a cross in silver-grey, though not as massive as Thanos' Sanctuary II, was certainly no lesser than Ronan's flagship.
Previously, when battling Thanos, Clark's power was not overwhelming enough to crush his adversary without significant allied losses. Thus, he had reluctantly destroyed what could have been his Sanctuary II twice, turning it into cosmic fireworks.
But now, things were different.
Having fully inherited the Power Stone's might and wisdom and becoming the God of Vengeance, his strength was more than tenfold what it had been. He was quite satisfied with the current battleship and decided to arrogantly claim it as his own.
As for Malekith's life, he decided to claim that as well.
A flash from the Space Stone on the right shoulder of Clark's outfit, and he teleported directly inside Malekith's flagship, encountering a ready squad of Dark Elves, whom he easily obliterated.
However, just as he dispatched that squad, the door in front of him burst open. A cold-faced, silver-haired Dark Elf stepped toward him, arms parting, and without a word, thrust forward. Suddenly, countless dark red energy arrows formed and shot towards Clark.
Now fully mastering the Power Stone, Clark recognized that his adversary's control over the Reality Stone was also formidable.
Who would win this true clash of titans—Clark or Malekith?
Would Malekith perish?
Or would Clark survive?
...
On the Bifrost, the two Thunder Gods faced an enormous army of Dark Elves armed with laser weapons, undaunted. In the swirl of hammer and lightning, no enemy stood a chance.
That was until a horn-headed Dark Elf radiating a destructive aura appeared, and the tide of battle shifted once more.
The two Thunder Gods had been unmatched on the Bifrost, hardly considering this newly emerged foe a threat.
Beta Ray Bill casually hurled his Stormbreaker, planning to retrieve it after the enemy was smashed to smithereens. Unexpectedly, the horn-headed warrior merely waved an arm and sent the Stormbreaker flying, demolishing an Asgardian watchtower in the process.
Only then did the Thunder Gods seriously regard this horn-headed adversary.
Yet, merely deflecting Stormbreaker wasn't enough to intimidate them. After the horned warrior flicked away Beta Ray Bill's attack, Thor, leaping ten meters high, whirled Mjolnir to summon wind and lightning, striking his mightiest blow downward!
And yet, incredibly, the horn-headed foe withstood Thor's electrifying assault, merely stepping back three paces, his body scorched but not defeated.
His appearance was ragged, but his combat prowess remained unaffected. After weathering the first storm, he stepped forward and delivered a punch that sent Thor and Mjolnir flying a hundred meters away.
What formidable strength, what terrifying power!
Was this the cursed warrior Uncle had mentioned?
Thor, emerging from the rubble of a destroyed building, saw his opponent's scorched body rapidly healing, which only deepened his frustration.
My dear Uncle, didn't you say this fellow had power comparable to mine?
This isn't "comparable"; this is an utter thrashing!
Conservatively, this adversary's strength was certainly no less than Hela's.
Indeed, this enemy was Kurse, the cursed warrior. However, Clark hadn't been too concerned about this secondary boss during "Thor: The Dark World," focusing more on Malekith, who could control the Aether.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have misled Thor.
But Thor, always taking Clark's words as gospel, never doubted the truth of his statements. He stubbornly believed that since Clark said the opponent's strength was only equivalent to his, there must be a fatal flaw. If he could find this flaw, defeating Kurse should be achievable.
Unintentionally misled by Clark, Thor faced this much stronger foe with newfound confidence.
Sometimes, fate works in mysterious ways.
Seeing Beta Ray Bill summon Stormbreaker and launch another attack, Thor also threw Mjolnir and charged again.
The next phase was a brutal lesson for the Thunder Gods.
If Thor could fully unleash his potential, inheriting the divine power of Asgard's kings, he might not equal the cosmic deity Clark but wouldn't be far off.
However, reaching that point wasn't as simple as a single awakening—it would require accumulating experiences throughout his life.
For now, adding even Beta Ray Bill and a shield-wielding Captain America to the mix wouldn't make them a match for Kurse.
But the fighting spirit of the two Thunder Gods was commendable.
Thor firmly believed Clark wouldn't deceive him, so he was convinced there was hope in this battle. Driven by this belief, he rose each time Kurse struck him down, launching his most powerful counterattacks.
Beta Ray Bill, too, was influenced by Thor.
Seeing Thor, Odin's son and the king of Asgard, fight so fearlessly, he set aside his own safety, embracing the ruthlessness of their struggle.
They were ruthless to their enemy and even more so to themselves.
Under the valiant resistance of the two Thunder Gods, Kurse was strong but couldn't break their defense to slaughter the Asgardian soldiers behind them.
Yet, being outnumbered can be perilous if the larger side holds no advantage, as a single misstep could lead to destruction.
After dozens of exchanges, that critical error finally occurred.
Thor charged ahead, while Beta Ray Bill, despite severe internal injuries, launched a thick bolt of lightning with Stormbreaker. However, his aim was off, and the bolt struck Thor instead.
"No!"
As Beta Ray Bill cried out in despair, Thor was engulfed by the thunder he had unleashed.
Already no match for Kurse, Thor now faced attacks from both Kurse and an accidental strike by Beta Ray Bill. Could he handle this dire situation?
Definitely!
The moment he was swallowed by the lightning, Thor swung Mjolnir at Kurse once more. Suddenly feeling a surge of power vastly different from his own, he didn't even realize what was happening before that energy, mingling with his thunderous power, blasted through Mjolnir and struck Kurse's right arm.
"Boom!"
With a resounding explosion, Kurse's arm burst into a mist of blood, and for the first time, he was sent flying back by their combined force.
He skidded back tens of meters on the Bifrost before finally coming to a stop.
"Wow!" Thor was also not unscathed; the merging of two potent forces of thunder inside him caused severe internal injuries. It was a case of damaging the enemy a thousand and oneself eight hundred.
If one considered Kurse's terrifying vitality, the cost might even need to be calculated inversely.
Still, Thor's face lit up with excitement, and looking at the equally stunned Beta Ray Bill, he exclaimed, "I understand now!"
Bill, initially shocked by the unexpected turn of events, caught on and replied, "I understand too!"
It turned out that when Odin had witnessed Beta Ray Bill's strength and noble nature, he crafted the Stormbreaker for him. Beyond sharing Thor's burdens and animosities, there was a deeper intent.
While Stormbreaker seemed similar to Mjolnir, the thunderous power it contained was fundamentally different from
Thor's overwhelmingly yang energy; it was primarily yin.
Influenced long-term by Stormbreaker, along with Beta Ray Bill's intrinsic nature, his divine power had also developed into a predominantly yin thunderous force. If the two were to clash, Thor would undoubtedly have the upper hand, his thunder even countering Bill's. However, if they could synchronize their attacks perfectly, their combined thunderous might could escalate exponentially!
Realizing this key, Thor and Beta Ray Bill exchanged a knowing smile, then stood shoulder to shoulder against Kurse, whose arm had regenerated. The mingled yin and yang thunderous energies unleashed from Mjolnir and Stormbreaker intertwined and surged towards Kurse.
"Boom!"
Another thunderous explosion. Kurse was driven back again, although not as powerfully as before, but the external blending of their thunder was certainly better than Thor's previous self-inflicted exchange.
After confirming their hypothesis, the two Thunder Gods moved in unison, their released energies entwining. Whether from Thor's Mjolnir or Beta Ray Bill's Stormbreaker, what they wielded now was the combined might of yin-yang thunder!
Even Kurse, mighty as he was, found himself retreating under their renewed assault, unable to retaliate.
This was the moment when hammers united!
This was the moment when man and steed became one!
Sensing the synergy between the two Thunder Gods, a poignant and beautiful melody arose in the atmosphere.
"The jianghu laughs, resolving grudges. Through the clash, smiles conceal blades. The world laughs, solitary laughter. Ambitions too high, unreachable..."
Impression points from Thor Odinson: +99999!
Impression points from Beta Ray Bill: +999!
Surely, Uncle had foreseen all along, silently waiting for us to uncover these secrets ourselves?
Uncle's wisdom is indeed immeasurable!
