At seven-thirty, a sleek black car came to pick Calix up. Leslie followed the man dressed in a white collarless shirt with a khaki-colored suit. Their first destination was a restaurant.
"I've booked a room there. You better eat to your heart's content. It's not like you can join me eating at the cafes or bars later."
Leslie's heart was in agony once she heard Calix's statement. It became more painful because she couldn't refute him at all.
Most local restaurants and cafes wouldn't have private dining rooms. Leslie could only watch Calix sipping his wine while having local delicacies there. It was the reason the man brought her to an upscale restaurant first.
While sitting in the backseat, Leslie kept looking outside of the car. Twinkles glimmered in her almond eyes.
"Wow~ I think we passed this area on our first day here."
