"...Leslie?"
"Mama! Why your face so white ah?"
Calix's cautious tone and Calliope's curious voice filtered through Leslie's trance, pulling her back to reality. Blinking her eyes, she slowly and stiffly turned to look at her husband and their daughter.
Both Calix and Calliope wore the same expression on their face, one of worry.
"I... I just..."
With words stuck in her throat right after she tried to speak, Leslie hurriedly shifted her gaze to the entrance, her pupils trembling in fear and disbelief. She no longer saw any traces of that man and Belinda.
Alarmed by Leslie's uncanny behavior, Calix's frown deepened. He made a gesture with his right hand, calling for one of the bodyguards hiding among the crowds.
"Boss Xu."
Calix looked at Calliope in his arms. The little dumpling's round eyes kept darting from him to Leslie. He understood that she was also bothered by her mother's demeanor.
