Why A Dimensional Chat Group?

In contemporary Japan, Yuu Tachibana lives a seemingly ordinary life with his beloved family. However, Yuu harbors a secret: he has lived a past life in another world, making his current life his second. Having no one to call family in his previous life, Yuu cherishes his family all the more. One fateful night, Yuu discovers an unidentified phone in his room. The message displayed on its screen is cryptic and foreboding: [Do you want to save your family from their terrible fate?] With a sense of dread, Yuu is faced with a choice: [Yes] or [No]. Yuu must decide if he is willing to risk everything to protect his loved ones. Will he choose to save them, or let fate run its course? -------- So, before you jump into the fic, let me address the frustration of some readers, This fic is slow. The Dimensional Chat Group, is not given to the MC in the first or fifth chapter. No, no! Not even in 8 chapter, It decides to make a fashionable entrance in chapter 11. And we don't even get to fully explore it until chapter 15. Isn't that just great? The delay in the chat group's appearance seems to be a point of confusion for many readers. While the chat group is indeed a central aspect of the story, it's important to understand why the MC would use this unknown and potentially dangerous power. If the MC is reckless or unintelligent, the chat group's usage might begin in the first chapter. However, if the MC is depicted as a self-proclaimed genius or cautious individual, the story will reach the point of the chat group's involvement by chapter 3 at the latest, followed by a mission. In the initial 8 to 9 chapters, we get a glimpse into the MC's ordinary existence. He leads a regular life, surrounded by his loving family. He attends school, where he has a small circle of friends. Financially speaking, his family doesn't face any difficulties or hardships. And he is content with this simple, everyday life. Now, you might be wondering, why on earth would a person like our MC take a risk with the Chat Group? Hear me out. He's not some thrill-seeker, or a martial arts enthusiast looking for stronger opponents, nor is he a genius bored out of his mind. He's content with his life, and he doesn't crave anything more. So, why would he put his neck on the line? That's precisely why it takes so long for the Chat Group to enter the picture. The initial chapters focus on showcasing his everyday life with family and friends. It's all about giving you a glimpse into why he wouldn't initially desire the chat group. But, of course, he eventually takes the plunge because he discovers a reason that speaks to him. Now, I know some of you may say, "Hey, couldn't you have summed it up in a single chapter?" Well, sure, I could have, but I didn't want to. Summarizing the MC's relationships and motivations would have resulted in a shallow excuse that you—yes, you—would probably complain about later. Plus, there's more to this story than just his daily life. But enough about that. Let's get one thing straight: this fic is slow. If you're expecting a quick summary with occasional fights and snappy dialogue, do yourself and me a favor by clicking off this fic. You'll find what you're looking for in less than 10 seconds, guaranteed. So, if you're still here after this warning, I don't want to hear any complaints about the story's pace. You've been duly informed. And hey, as you read, try paying a little more attention to uncover the hidden meanings within the dialogues and monologues. Also, I am not saying that I have done a fantastic job on the writing, No that’s not the point of this. The point is that you the reader don’t waste your time reading something you don’t like. And I don’t get 1-star reviews for a reason as petty as ‘The Chat group took too long to appear’ That's all for now. Serious Matter

It has been three days since and Yuu could still be spotted in class 2-1 having a staredown with his phone all day long.

There were only about 10 minutes left before the class for the day started.

"I think... I get what he is up to," Hachiman narrowed his eyes as he was looking at Yuu sitting in the classroom looking at his phone.

"Leave that aside, why are we doing this right now?" Miyamura asked since they were peeking into the class by opening the sliding the slightly. There was no need to do this lest one wanted the weird stares of the students walking in the corridor.

"Let's go in," Hachiman opened the door and walked towards Yuu stunning Miyamura who followed him quickly.

"Hey Yuu," Hachiman said as he reached in front of Yuu's desk.

"Yeah?" Yuu answered without looking up.

"You shouldn't worry about something like this," Hachiman's words confused Miyamura to the core, he didn't know what Hachiman was talking about.

"Hmm? But it is an important matter," Yuu looked up and said slowly.

"Of course it is, I understand how you feel but this isn't the right way to do things," Hachiman shook his head in dismay since Yuu was so clueless about such things that it was unnatural.

"I see," Yuu muttered as he looked at the desk once again before thinking for some time.

"Thank you Hachiman I'll keep it in mind," Yuu looked up again and smiled slightly.

"If you ever have any questions about it just ask me alright?" Hachiman was happy that Yuu seemed to have understood his point.

"Is that alright?" Yuu asked with a little surprise.

"Yea totally, I don't have much experience but I can help you to some degree," Hachiman waved his hand like it was no big deal.

'Why do I feel like they are not on the same page?' Even though the conversation seemed normal, Miyamura thought the two were talking about completely different topics and still made sense of it somehow.

Hachiman walked out of the classroom again with Miyamura following him looking confused.

"He should be able to do it now," Hachiman said looking at Yuu through the half-opened door.

"Do what?" Miyamura looked even more perplexed.

"Of Course, Confess to a girl.... What's with that look?" Hachiman turned to look at Miyamura seeing his blank look.

"It took you three days to reach that conclusion?" Miyamura sighed heavily.

"No No, I had my suspicions since the first day of school, you remember him smiling while using his phone in class? I thought something fishy was going on from that day," Hachiman said as Miyamura nodded.

The two went near the windows in front of the classroom and stood there. The students from other classes were going into their own classrooms before the homeroom starts. But Hachiman had some things to say before they go inside.

"He has been acting weird since the next day, So I am certain that he found a girl he is interested in and is mulling over the fact if he should move forward or not," Hachiman looked like some great detective figuring out a crime, all he needed was a hat and a smoking pipe. Then it would be perfection.

"I see and…."

"I speak from experience here, so I am certain, he has either already asked her for a date and is waiting for a reply or he can't make up his mind if he should ask her, To be honest, I don't see a girl passing him up even if she is blind," Most of the people who know Yuu personally know that he more than just another good looking guy, he was just chill and a great listener as well. He had also practiced martial arts which meant he was strong enough to protect her, Yuu had most of the qualities a girl searches for in a guy.

"Oh! is that so Hikigaya-kun,"

"Hey, Miyamura is it just me, or is your voice… getti..ng..." Hachiman looked back and nearly choked on his own words since he saw Shizuka standing there looking at him with a sweet smile.

'...Damn you Miyamura,' Hachiman looked inside the classroom to see Miyamura sitting in his chair, he wasn't even looking at him.

"Fufu, The first period today is a self-study since the math teacher is absent, Why don't we go to the counseling room after homeroom and talk about this interesting topic in-depth, What do you say Hikigaya-kun?" Shizuka said still donning the same smile.

"Y-Yeah Hiratsuka-sensei," Hachiman agreed since that was the only option for him, it was this or death.

"Lovely now let's go inside," Shizuka clapped her hands and walked inside the classroom silencing the chattering students.

'Should I send my will to Komachi right now?' That was the only thought that came to Hachiman's head at the moment as he sat in his seat.

Shizuka took attendance quickly and informed the class about a few things before concluding the homeroom and went out, taking Hachiman along.

'Be strong Hikigaya you will survive this, probably,' If it was any other teacher Miyamura would've stayed but this was Shizuka that came.

The day went by normally, Yuu still had the compression band on his hand, so he was still using his left hand for taking notes.

'I should be able to take it off in a few days,' The swelling on Yuu's hand was pretty much gone, he kept the compression band on because Koharu didn't let him take it off.

RING*

With the final bell ringing the teacher walked out of the classroom and the students started to pack their bags.

"I'm going ahead," Yuu said to Miyamura and Hachiman as he packed his bag.

"Sure, see you tomorrow," Miyamura smiled like usual.

"....Bye," Yuu nodded and went ahead as Hachiman looked like he had a rough day.

"Kawasaki-san," Yuu suddenly stopped and looked to his right.

"Y-Yeah, What is it?" Kawasaki who was startled by his sudden voice glared at him.

"Is this your eraser?" Yuu picked up an eraser that was near the front leg of Kawasaki's desk and placed it on top of her desk.

"…It seems like I dropped it, Thank you," Kawasaki's glare softened up a little as she looked at Yuu.

"No problem, Have a good day," Yuu walked out of the classroom without looking back another time.

Kawasaki didn't know why but she felt kind of bad glaring at him now.

"I would've been startled as well, Tachibana-kun's voice is almost monotonous so if you aren't paying attention it can scare you," Kawasaki looked to her left and saw Yoshikawa looking at her with a smile.

"Eh? It isn't that bad you know? Unless you are a jumpy person it shouldn't affect you," Hori who was sitting ahead of Yoshikawa said.

"I wasn't really paying attention just now," Kawasaki said with a sigh.

"Ah, you did seem to be in a hurry before, need to reach somewhere?" Hori asked, she was curious seeing how Kawasaki was like this daily.

"Just going home," Kawasaki said.

"Younger siblings?" Hori guessed and Kawasaki looked a little surprised.

"You too?" Hori nodded at Kawasaki's words and the two stood up and did a firm handshake before the two walked out together talking about their siblings.

"Hey don't leave me behind," Yoshikawa shouted and ran after them after she picked up her bag, Hori and Kawasaki were just too fast for her to react.

***

Yuu and Shizuka stood at the Mahima Bridge, from the bridge; one can see the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean, with its shimmering blue waters and white-capped waves. The horizon stretches out before you, dotted with small islands and boats sailing on the sea.

'I wonder what happened,' Yuu leaned against the railing, his arms crossed over his chest as he gazed out at the view. Shizuka stood beside him with her back to the railing as she crossed her arms under her chest.

Yuu was picked up by Shizuka as he walked out of the school gates, she seemed to be waiting for him and the two came here on the latter's bike. She hasn't said anything yet and has been silent for a while.

"Yuu, I have something to tell you," Shizuka looked at Yuu and spoke those words.

"What is it?" Yuu was curious listening to her tone, it seemed the matter was serious.

"You don't need to worry about the yakuza group anymore," Shizuka smiled as she saw Yuu look at her.

"I knew you were worried about it, so I got some people to sort it out, It is all settled now 'Kay? They can't do anything now," Shizuka winked at Yuu.
