Why A Dimensional Chat Group?

In contemporary Japan, Yuu Tachibana lives a seemingly ordinary life with his beloved family. However, Yuu harbors a secret: he has lived a past life in another world, making his current life his second. Having no one to call family in his previous life, Yuu cherishes his family all the more. One fateful night, Yuu discovers an unidentified phone in his room. The message displayed on its screen is cryptic and foreboding: [Do you want to save your family from their terrible fate?] With a sense of dread, Yuu is faced with a choice: [Yes] or [No]. Yuu must decide if he is willing to risk everything to protect his loved ones. Will he choose to save them, or let fate run its course? -------- So, before you jump into the fic, let me address the frustration of some readers, This fic is slow. The Dimensional Chat Group, is not given to the MC in the first or fifth chapter. No, no! Not even in 8 chapter, It decides to make a fashionable entrance in chapter 11. And we don't even get to fully explore it until chapter 15. Isn't that just great? The delay in the chat group's appearance seems to be a point of confusion for many readers. While the chat group is indeed a central aspect of the story, it's important to understand why the MC would use this unknown and potentially dangerous power. If the MC is reckless or unintelligent, the chat group's usage might begin in the first chapter. However, if the MC is depicted as a self-proclaimed genius or cautious individual, the story will reach the point of the chat group's involvement by chapter 3 at the latest, followed by a mission. In the initial 8 to 9 chapters, we get a glimpse into the MC's ordinary existence. He leads a regular life, surrounded by his loving family. He attends school, where he has a small circle of friends. Financially speaking, his family doesn't face any difficulties or hardships. And he is content with this simple, everyday life. Now, you might be wondering, why on earth would a person like our MC take a risk with the Chat Group? Hear me out. He's not some thrill-seeker, or a martial arts enthusiast looking for stronger opponents, nor is he a genius bored out of his mind. He's content with his life, and he doesn't crave anything more. So, why would he put his neck on the line? That's precisely why it takes so long for the Chat Group to enter the picture. The initial chapters focus on showcasing his everyday life with family and friends. It's all about giving you a glimpse into why he wouldn't initially desire the chat group. But, of course, he eventually takes the plunge because he discovers a reason that speaks to him. Now, I know some of you may say, "Hey, couldn't you have summed it up in a single chapter?" Well, sure, I could have, but I didn't want to. Summarizing the MC's relationships and motivations would have resulted in a shallow excuse that you—yes, you—would probably complain about later. Plus, there's more to this story than just his daily life. But enough about that. Let's get one thing straight: this fic is slow. If you're expecting a quick summary with occasional fights and snappy dialogue, do yourself and me a favor by clicking off this fic. You'll find what you're looking for in less than 10 seconds, guaranteed. So, if you're still here after this warning, I don't want to hear any complaints about the story's pace. You've been duly informed. And hey, as you read, try paying a little more attention to uncover the hidden meanings within the dialogues and monologues. Also, I am not saying that I have done a fantastic job on the writing, No that’s not the point of this. The point is that you the reader don’t waste your time reading something you don’t like. And I don’t get 1-star reviews for a reason as petty as ‘The Chat group took too long to appear’ That's all for now. Proven?

All of the pillars had their eyes fixed on Yuu after this, but he didn't seem affected by it, rather he opened his mouth to drive the point home.

"It is my mission to kill the demons, That's all,"

"To jump on the battlefield again to fulfill your mission, That is very admirable," Gyomei spoke with tears streaming down his face which didn't change much.

And seeing this, the other Pillars also looked at Yuu once more as if he had passed some sort of test.

"I suppose that's the end of it," Yuu said as he looked at Kagaya who only smiled in return.

"Yes, It seems you have something to say Tachibana-dono," Yuu nodded at Kagaya's words and brought up the main topic.

"I want to join the demon slayer corps in hunting the demons here," Yuu said and everyone's reaction varied.

Gyomei, Shinjuro, and Giyu stayed silent for different reasons.

Kanae looked up seeing Yuu's back in slight shock and confusion. She didn't think that he would put forth this suggestion on his own.

Tengen's eyes sharpened at the words, he became a lot more vigilant after hearing this.

"What nonsense is this? Do you think this is a joke?" Sanemi was infuriated by this statement.

Joining the corps wasn't something to be taken lightly especially when the person in question was already strong and under suspicion.

But, surprisingly Kagaya was smiling at this and it was naturally seen by the Pillars.

"Of course, I will bring important information that will be helpful for the corps," Yuu continued without looking at Sanemi since the main person he needed to talk with was Kagaya.

"Hey! Yo-" Sanemi who was about to go off again stopped suddenly as he saw Kagaya putting a finger on his own lips.

He was clearly told to not make a sound, it wasn't something Kagaya did unless it was absolutely necessary. And the Pillars could see that Kagaya was actually serious about this.

'What information does he have?' Aside from one all of the pillars were keeping their ears perked up since it didn't look like it would be something trivial.

"I'll give you the location of an Upper Demon Moon," And as expected what came out was something they didn't expect.

Even Kagaya was wide-eyed because he didn't think it would be something like this.

Knowing the location of the Upper Moon demon was a big matter, Why? Because this way the Demon Slayer Corps can plan the attack on the upper moon and this will increase the chances of slaying the demon.

The Upper Moon were the strongest demons and one hasn't been killed for the last hundred or so years, the reason was whenever a pillar came across the upper moon they would always die because of them being weaker than the demons.

So what if they know where the Upper Moon Demon was in advance? It didn't take a genius to figure out how important this information was since Upper Moon Demons were the closest to Kibutsuji Muzan, The Demon Progenitor.

So, getting them would most likely help the Demon Slayer corps get closer to him, who is their goal.

And knowing full well about this, no one spoke out not even Sanemi, All of the Pillars were looking at Yuu with their senses heightened to the peak.

"Yoshiwara Pleasure District, Asakusa, That is the place where an Upper Moon resides," Yuu completed while looking at everyone, he told the location of the Upper Moon Six Daki, or more precisely Gyuutarou.

There were several reasons to choose her but now wasn't the time to discuss them since…

"Oyakata-sama I don't want to listen to this bullshit anymore, I'll kill him," Sanemi just found the situation too suspicious, and he wasn't alone.

"I agree, but let's do it stylishly," Tengen was in agreement as he looked ready to attack at the drop of the hat, he was just waiting for something.

"…"

But because it didn't happen Tengen and Sanemi turned their head to look at the towering giant Gyomei, and there was no reaction.

Now this only meant…

"Amane," Kagaya called out and the sliding door behind him opened up, through which a fair-skinned woman with white hair who looked in her early twenties walked in.

"I'm here, Oyakata-sama," Amane spoke as she looked at Kagaya's back.

"Check the records for the Yoshiwara Pleasure District," Kagaya stopped only after speaking this much.

"As you say," Amane bowed and went back through the door her face having the same flat look as before.

"Oyakata-sama there is no way you are actually entertaining this lair," Sanemi understood what Kagaya's order meant, and this wasn't acceptable to him.

"Sanemi, Would you wait for a few more minutes for me?" Kagaya asked surprising Sanemi, the others were also currently waiting right now.

"…I will," Sanemi went back to his kneeling position since Kagaya was correct, in a few minutes they'll understand if it was the truth or not.

Like that, the next few next minutes went by in silence until the sound of the sliding door opening was heard.

"I have confirmed the record," Amane said as her lavender eyes looked at Yuu for a moment before going back to Kagaya.

"What does it say?" Kagaya asked looking at the dust on Amane's white sleeves; it seemed she was also in a hurry to get this document.

"The death of twenty-two Pillars has been confirmed in the Yoshiwara Pleasure District in the past 100 years," Amane said flatly and the Pillars could see it make sense now.

The death of 22 pillars in a single place meant that Yuu's words held a lot of weight now. This could not be dismissed as a simple lie anymore.

The silence lasted for a few seconds before it was broken.

"Did you get this information before going to the Butterfly estate?" And it was none other than Tengen, he wanted to know since how long was Yuu planning this.

"I got it during my stay at the Butterfly estate," Yuu said flatly, hearing this Tengen smirked widely because it wasn't an easy feat to be able to snoop around in the presence of a Hashira and several demon slayers who were around the Butterfly Estate to keep an eye on him.

'Though I am sure that Kocho didn't even keep an eye on him and let him do his own thing,' Not only Tengen but the other Pillars also had similar thoughts.

And it was true Kanae didn't keep an eye on Yuu because she wasn't suspicious of him. But there was another thing…

"Do you only know the location?" Sanemi asked the question since it won't make sense otherwise, The Demon Slayer Corps had the records of the Pillar's deaths but Yuu didn't, so unless he confirmed the demon himself it won't make sense.

How can a person who has only been here for less than 4 months is able to find out the location of someone like an Upper Moon like this?

"Yatamahime, That should be enough right?" Yuu looked Sanemi in the eyes, it wasn't a taunting look or anything. It looked like Yuu would answer his question if he asked anymore.

Which was somehow making Sanemi angrier but, he really had no questions at this point. Yuu even pinpointed the person, there was no greater show of confidence in front of them.

It was easy for everyone to understand what would happen if this were proven wrong.

"Then tell me what you all think about Tachibana-dono joining our ranks?" Kagaya looked at the Pillars.

And starting from the right, answers started to come in.

"I'll follow Oyakata's decision," Giyu said flatly.

"…I am in favor," Kanae spoke after glancing at Yuu.

"I am also flamboyantly in favor," Tengen smirked like usual, it seemed like his interest in Yuu has risen to a new level.

"I am against the decision," Sanemi said since he still didn't trust Yuu.

"I'll follow Oyakata-sama's decision," Shinjuro looked like he wanted nothing to do with this in any way.

And then the last person, he can also be considered the most important vote, second only to Kagaya.

"…I'll follow Oyakata-sama's will," Gyomei spoke firmly and Kagaya smiled softly understanding his intention.

"Then Tachibana-dono, Tomorrow I'll send someone to the butterfly estate with the things you'll require," Kagaya looked at Yuu and spoke in a gentle tone.

"Thank you," Yuu bowed slightly to show courtesy and it seemed his job was done here as a Kakushi was called to take him to the waiting room.

But before leaving Yuu turned and looked at Kagaya and Amane who was standing behind him.
