CHAPTER 5- THE NEXT STEP

Walking back home, Eli laughed and teased his little brother who held his hand in pain and definitely wasn't smiling at all. Though he was grateful his brother came at the right time , but a little earlier would have been really appreciated. Each time he saw his older brother, he couldn't just help but think to himself "How really strong is he?"

But it didn't really bother him, what actually did was what he was going to do now ,considering how his brother humiliated Liam. Things weren't going to get pretty from now on. He sure was going to be a target . He was suspended sure but he could still cross path with him outside school Eli might not be around to save him like he did. He was either going to learn how to defend himself or get at least some gang like his brother. But he had not the slightest idea how to fight and starting a gang would only make him less focused on school. He certainly didn't want that.

The throbbing pain in his arm brought him back to reality . Noticing it immediately, he asked "How's your hand doing?". Still massaging the arm while he hissed in pain, he replied." Well it's broken for sure. Appreciate the concern".

Staring at him with a confused look, "Why were you loosing though? , that guy was super weak but he was doing a good job handing your ass to you".

Finn rolled his eyes, only if Eli knew he wasn't like the rest of them, he was just built different but they was no point arguing. They walked back home with Finn staying mute and Eli still teasing and laughing at his own wise cracks.

The next day, Finn came to school wearing a bandage, though it was covered up by his sleeves cause he didn't want people asking questions about what happened.

He was eating his meal in the cafeteria when a tray of food was placed on his table. He looked up to see it was Nolan with a smile on his face.

He smiled back, "How's your wounds?" .

"I'm getting better. The nurse said I could take the bandages off by the end of today".

Then he gave Finn a concerned look. "But what happened yesterday, did Liam hurt you in anyway?".

He didn't want Nolan to feel guilty that he got hurt trying to protect him so he lied that nothing really happened. Just then two other trays wants dropped on the table. Resting his gaze on them. Finn could see a boy wearing headphones on his shoulder with a hoodie and glasses and a girl with sparkling emerald eyes , her hair packed up in a bun, and in a white blouse and black skirt. She had an almost perfect symmetrical face and her pink lips added to her already stood out beauty.

What are they doing here?. Finn thought.

The boy started, already sitting down.

"So you're the trouble maker of yesterday. I saw what you did yesterday, that was awesome. I have never seen someone stood up to Liam before like you did."

Finn didn't really think much of It as he knew within he was actually terrified when it happened but maybe it didn't appear like that to the people witnessing it.

Using his fork to pick up his food before sliding it into his mouth, he continued

"We couldn't help but come say hi, we're like your biggest fan

I even heard he has been suspended. That's two whole week of no bullying, only wished they could also suspend his boys together with him but it's still ok though.....".

Finn noticed that the girl hadn't spoken up and only ate her food in silence. She hadn't raised her head up once since they started eating.

"By the way I'm Jacob and this is my sister Sarah. We're twins".

He sounded quite satisfied saying they were twins. Nolan was the first to respond " My name is Nolan ".

Finn nodded before he opened up to respond but was interrupted immediately by Sarah, that was the first time she spoke, her voice was soft and low but still audible enough for all of them to hear.

" We already know what your name is ... Benjamin."

Finn felt like correcting her but he was cut short again, this time by Nolan.

"Benjamin is his name but he actually prefers being called Finn".

She glanced to Finn with one eyebrow raised in confusion. But continued eating her food in silence.

"So how about it Finn, what do you say ,the four of us become friends ". Jacob said with a mouth full .

Finn not minding at all , nodded I'm acceptance. There wasn't really any issue here , they only wanted to be friends. But he wondered just how many people had noticed him after that fight. He smiled at the thought of being a hero. Just then the bell rung and it was time for rung and it was time for everyone to return to their classes. The four of them walked back to their class . Nolan and Jacob were in the same class. And Finn was in the same class with Sarah. How come he hadn't noticed her till now.

He really needed to start paying attention to his surrounding more.

The new was already in class, and Finn wanted to go say hi but then May walked passed him almost pushing him out of the way to meet the transfer student. What was her deal? Finn changed course and just headed to his seat straight. He could always say hi to him later anyways.

Sitting on his chair, he laid down his head, there was no teacher in class so why not just take a quick nap.

May walked up to Alucard with her minions all tailing behind her. Slamming her hand on his desk to get his attention. He looked up only to notice a hand pointing towards his face . "Listen here Alu.. whatever your name is ".

"It's Alucard" he corrected.

"Well I don't care what your name is, I run this class around here and I didn't see you come pay homage to me". Leaning in closer with a smirk in her face "Or don't you want my protection?".

Tilting his head in confusion, he wondered how she could protect him and from who?.

"Who are you protecting me from?".

He asked.

Her smirk widening to an evil grin. "Me...".

He sighed. "Look, I appreciate the gesture but I think I'm good thank you". That infuriated May as she wasn't used to getting people refuse her. She snapped immediately.

"I'm not giving you a choice!. You do it because I want you to do it!".

"But what if I don't want to?" He asked calmly.

"Then you'll regret every single second of your life in this school ".

Silent filled the room. She had finally gotten through to him. She knew it, all guys were the same but instead of agreeing like she 100% thought he would.

He said , still calm and not taking his eyes of her, "I still refuse, go ahead and do your worst. I'm not used to being under anyone "

Without say a word , she left to her seat. She was going to show him what hell felt like even if it was the last thing she would do.

Classes was different all of a sudden for Alucard and it was hard not to notice but it seemed his fellow student started acting strange towards him . But he really didn't pay much attention to it.

Walking through the hallway to his locker to get a book he was going to use for the next class. He noticed something different about his locker. It wasn't damaged in anyway but it just felt different. He knew that girl had something to do with it but he didn't know exactly what it was . The hall way was empty and everyone was in class. He unlocked his locker and proceeded to get his book when he noticed something shiny at the back . Making a bit of space by shifting his book away. He saw it was a ring .

"Diamond!!?" He gasped. This was an actual diamond ring in his locker. How and why was it in his locker. Removing it from his locker and slamming the it shut he held the ring , admiring it. It was beautiful.

"PUT THAT RING DOWN!!" a voice from behind jolted him.
