Raizo stopped attacking after hearing a voice in his mind. He quickly jumped backward, dodging Ares' axe and leaped off to the distance. He was immediately gone.
Ares rested the axe against his shoulder and turned to the battlefield. He grimaced at the sight of so many corpses, especially the half-eaten corpses of Inhumans and New-Gen Humans. Then, he noticed Amour clutching his stomach while struggling to stand up.
''Amour!'' He quickly strapped the axe on his back and jumped over to Amour. As Ares grabbed him by his arm, he helped him stand up.
''Ugh...'' Amour wiped the blood off his face and weakly smiled. ''I am not feeling too good...''
Ares grimaced and quickly helped Amour to walk towards the gates. There were healers on the way.
During the painful walk, he asked. ''Amour, why didn't you use impulse immediately?''
''I...'' Amour wryly smiled. ''Wanted to test something... I am not sure if it is right or if I suffered for nothing.''
