"Where the hell am I?"
I look around and see a breathtaking meadow, its beauty stretching as far as the eye can see. After a few moments of taking in the sight, my gaze is drawn to a peculiar sight–a staff suspended in the air at the heart of the meadow. I approach it, my steps tentative, and reach out to touch the staff.
The second I touch the staff, a blue being appears from the staff. I point my pistol and sword at him, ready to fight.
"Oh my~ This is the first time I see a man having the power of a maiden!"
Maiden? Ah, I remember it now. This is the power that the big bad wants to take from that woman underneath Beacon, right? That means I have the power of a maiden, then? Does that mean Winter Schnee will become a maiden in the future?
"What kind of maiden power do I get?"
"Eh? You don't know? You are Winter Maiden, or is it Winter Men? That is not a good name. Oh well."
Winter Maiden, huh?
"Is this the flame coming out of my eyes?"
"You truly don't know what Winter Maiden is, huh? Yes. That is the power of Winter Maiden. The power to control the primordial elements."
"Primordial Elements? Winter… Does that mean I can control Ice?"
"You truly don't know anything—all elements. Winter has a stronger connection with ice, but that doesn't mean you cannot use the other element. The stronger you grow, the more protection you will have against the element. As for you, ice will not work against you and the people around you."
"Is this an absolute immunity or resistance?"
"The first one. Maiden power comes from a man whose power can hurt the Gods, after all."
Right. Two gods create this world, right? Does that mean the one creating this power is equal to the creation gods? Impressive. Back in the DxD world, creation Gods are groups of Gods with exceptional power.
"Anyway, what kind of creature are you? Some sort of Djinn?"
"Huh? No. I am not Jinn. The name is Ambrosius, the Spirit of Creation! You can ask me to create anything you desire. However, I have a few limitations. I cannot destroy, and I cannot create life. That means I cannot reincarnate someone. Not only that, if I create something, my previous creation shall cease to exist. Lastly, only someone who holds the staff can ask for a miracle."
That is a very powerful ability. Wait! I can ask him to create something that makes the Arcobaleno Pacifiers obsolete. It will let the curse of the Arcobaleno cease to exist. I will take the staff home and ask Reborn to search for the Checkerface so that the man can give us the details of how the pacifiers work.
For now, I need to ensure the previous creation is not as important.
"Ambrosius, what is the previous creation?"
"An energy. An unlimited energy that lets this city float endlessly."
Wait. He can create energy?! That is really OP. It is a shame I can only create one thing unless I want to destroy the previous creation.
"Right. Can I hold my request? I need to make sure the city lands safely."
"Then why not ask me to create a portal that lets this place land near Mantle safely? You can ask more when we are out of here."
"Great idea! Let's get out of here first."
He nods and returns to the staff. I grab the staff and leave this weird dimension. When I leave the dimension, I can see my dragon fighting a dozen people, and they are losing. Kuro is the one harassing the people. Even though he multiplies his body up to fifty times, he still has enough power to fight them on equal ground.
I can see petrified bodies on the ground. That must be Shiro's work.
"Kuro! Shiro! Return!"
At my command, the two dragons change size and coil around my neck. I can see General Ironwood look at me with a frown and say.
"Who are you?! How can you enter the vault?!"
"Me? My name is Vale, the Boss of the Millefiore Famiglia. As for how I enter the vault…"
I enter my Maiden-State, and blue flames appear around my eyes.
"I am a Winter Maiden and have retrieved my rightful item."
"Impossible! You are a man! You are not a woman!"
"Misogynistic, much?"
The general does not react to my words and only points his gun at me before shooting me. Shiro releases a torrent of Sky Flame and watches the bullet disappear.
"Anway, thank you for taking care of the Relic, General Ironwood. Don't worry. I will make sure no one dies from my wish."
I slam the staff to the ground and watch Ambrosius appear beside me.
"No! Don't grant his wish! Thousands of people will die!"
I ignore him and say.
"Can you create something that lets this floating island land safely without anyone dying?"
Ambrosius smiles and claps his hand. After he claps his hands, I can feel the entire island shake for a few seconds before it stops. Does that mean we are landing? Good.
"I am done, my dear master."
"Perfect, Ambrosius! Now, the next thing I need is something to hold them from reaching this area."
"Easy enough! Witness my creation!"
I can see a barrier with a beautiful pattern on it that separates my group and the people from Atlas. I can hear General Ironwood give the order to destroy the barrier, but they cannot even make a scratch from their attack.
"Beautiful. Does that pattern mean something?"
"Yup! It is an ancient language that was used before the Gods left this place. Do you want to learn it?"
"If you are willing to teach me, I am more than happy to learn. However, we need to leave this place for now."
I open a portal and watch as General Ironwood takes out a fucking rocket launcher from somewhere and shoots it into the barrier. Sadly for him, it does nothing, and we leave this world. As we leave this place, I wonder if I can visit another alternate version of this world and collect more relics.
I need that sweet, unlimited energy.
