Carrigan
I stood as tall as I could manage, telling my family to get behind me. “I’ve got this.”
“Oh, look at this!” Princeton snickered. “Carrie! We’ve been looking all over for you! You look different. Did you change something about your hair? Where have you been?”
“Funny,” I sneered. “Like you don’t know.”
“Me? Why would I know anything?”
“Don’t play coy, you sick fuck!” Cherry snarled. “We know what you’ve been doing to Carrigan. Did you really think you could just force her to marry you?”
Princeton’s fake smile dropped, narrowing his eyes at my sister. “Well. I see we’ll be doing this the hard way, aren’t we now?”
He tried to raise the gun at Cherry, but I stepped in his path. “No! If you want me, then everyone lives. That was the original deal, right? If you hurt anyone, then the deal is off!”
