Chapter 47: The duo of friends

The day passed normally, apparently Komi-San was distracted enough by Yamai to forget to give me the answer I was expecting.

I decided not to push the matter. Getting her confession was just a matter of time. 

As the last periods of class approached, Komi-San excused herself to go to her club activities.

According to her report, she was close to making Netsuno-Sempai her friend.

 Netsuno and Komi had been training and competing together for the past few days. 

Komi-San was planning to make a bet with Netsuno-Sempai just like she did with Yadano. She and Yadano have been training hard in order to surpass Netsuno-Sempai.

 It was nice to see Komi-San boasting about her activities with her friend. 

Before she left, I gave her a kitten-shaped lollipop and wished her good luck.

Back in the present, I found myself drowning in paperwork… as always

Luckily now I had some help.

Yamai was beside me, organizing the reports and documents as best as she could.

She didn't understand much about how to do these things, so she simply helped by sorting them into priorities to make it easier for me to handle.

When she finished, she asked if I needed anything else while playing with her hair.

 I sent her to get some energy drinks for me.

She nodded, and as she headed to the door, it swung open abruptly, and she found herself face to face with the duo of rabbit and turtle.

There wasn't much of a problem with Nene, but when she locked eyes with Kaede, she trembled. 

I decided to ignore them and continue with my work.

*POV Third person*

Tadano couldn't see it since Yamai was partially blocking his view, but the threatening and extremely hostile look Kaede directed at Yamai wasn't normal. Even Nene, by her side, froze in place. Lately, she had been seeing an unfamiliar side of her friend; Tadano's influence on her was as significant as expected.

After a few seconds of uncomfortable silence between the trio, Kaede withdrew her gaze and completely ignored Yamai, pulling Nene with her as she entered the classroom and asked

Kaede: "Tadanooo-Kun…. Do you need help?… Nene-Chan and I came to help…" in her usual cheerful and slow tone.

Nene doubted for a moment if the person who looked so hostile at Yamai before and the one who was now smiling so happily were the same person, then she let out a sigh of resignation, Her mother was right; love makes us crazy.

*Tadano POV*

Seeing her standing there I told her.

Tadano: "Hurry up and get what I ordered, and also bring a cold cola and a tea."

 Yamai looked at me for a moment; there was some resentment in her gaze, but I ignored it. 

Then the girl left the room. 

"It's surprising that she's following your orders now after how she treated you before… Did you enchant her or something?" Nene asked jokingly.

Tadano: "Something like that, we had a long and deep discussion to clear up our misunderstandings and after that, she now obeys my orders obediently," 

*Crack*

"Oh Sorry… the tip of my mechanical pencil was a little fragile… don't pay much attention to it." Kaede said as she changed the lead of her mechanical pencil, feeling a bit embarrassed. .

Nene wanted to delve into the matter, but seeing Kaede in that state, she shook her head and refrained.

The three of us worked quietly for a while, When Yamai returned with the drinks, she handed them to me and stood next to me, feeling somewhat uncomfortable.

I took the drinks and handed Kaede and Nene their preferred drinks. 

 Then I looked at Yamai beside me

Tadano: "Go back home and mind your business, I don't need you today."

Yamai: "B-But I…"

Yamai started to say something, but I cut her off.

Tadano: "I… Don't… need... you" I said slowly and clearly so that he understood.

She held back her words and left after taking her things.

The duo of friends did not say a word about the previous event.

With the help of the pair of friends, I finished my paperwork in no time. 

When we finished Kaede asked

Kaede: "Are you going to sing today?"

Tadano: "Yes… I plan to make a performance, although I won't stay long. Do you want to accompany me?" 

Both girls nodded.

I smiled and the 3 of us left the classroom.

I was ready to change my appearance.

When both girls finished, they stepped back to see how I looked.

Before she noticed a small spot on my face.

When she finished, she nodded.

Kaede watched calmly from the side.

We decided to meet separately to avoid being related to me so soon.

Kaede looked at me, confused and somewhat worried, seeing my hesitant expression, but before she could react, I took her chin in my hand and gave her a gentle kiss. 

When I pulled away, I said

Tadano: "Thank you for the gift; I'll take good care of it… here's a token of my gratitude" Saying the latter after giving her a warm smile while putting the keychain in my spatial ring. 

Then I winked at Nene, who was looking at us astounded by my actions, and headed towards a nearby square.

*POV Third person*

Both girls remained in their places.

A deep blush on both of their faces.

Kaede was lost in a world of colorful explosions; her heart beat wildly like a galloping horse, her face was hot and flushed as her thoughts revolved only around Tadano. Her thoughts had already become too wild; she thought about her wedding, her honeymoon, and she was even thinking about names for their children… when she came to her senses, she held her red cheeks while her "ahoge" panickedly moved from side to side, secretly licking her lips to taste the young man aftertaste.

Nene was not much better, she had planned to approach him little by little with Kaede in order to delve deeper into the young man's heart.

Moreover, the idea of the keychain was hers.
