Hand to Hand

He needed to have a way to sense his enemies better. That was his issue in his last battle and it nearly cost him is life. Luckily he actually gained a skill for his efforts in the last battle.

<Wind fluctuations. By sensing the changes in wind fluctuations you are able to sense any enemy movements. The closer you are to the enemy, the more sensitive you are to their movements. Level 1. Passive. Range 5 M.>

<Skill absorbed by Atmokinesis skill due to wind elements. Skill is now max level.>

This was exactly what he needed! Now that the skill fused and maxed out he could feel everything within hundreds of meters. Nodding his head at himself he was ready. Qwen accepted a mission and teleported away in a purple light.

**************************************

Hours later Qwen was already on his 90th teleport to a blackout. Like usual he sensed the family of innocent people first and got them to a safe location. The monsters were far too weak for him now and he was able to take care of the enemies quickly. He still made sure to kill goblin as painfully as possible.

Then he finished off any nearby monsters he found along the way. He would appear slaughter monsters and teleport away when he received notice of a completed mission from the System.

He asked the system to combine all of his rewards and save them for when he ended all of his missions. This particular time was different.

The sky wasn't the cloudy dark sky. It was actually red.

He was standing in front of a group of spiders that seemed to be guarding the entrance of a high school gymt.

<Boss monster detected!>

Qwen sensed the boss monster within minutes. He shot a 'freezing explosion ball' spell that destroyed the group arachnoid spider monser outside of the high school gymnasium.

"I bet all the tea in China this boss monster is a freaking big ass spider. "

Qwen was joking to himself to calm his nerves. He would be facing his first boss Monster. His 'regeneration' and 'Incorporeal form' were both maxed out. He had earned SP after some battles and converted them into points to distribute.

<Incorporeal form. For a short period of time, you can become invisible by shedding the matter in your body and avoid all physical attacks. Max level spells and spirit attacks can still be used. You can still be harmed by light spells and spirit attacks. Level Max. 100 MP for every 10 seconds. Cool down 30 seconds. >

<Regeneration. A heal over time spell. The spell can heal anyone back to top condition with enough time. Can restore lost limbs. Can dispel any Advanced poisons up to level 90. Level Max. Cost 150 spell last for 10 minutes. *Double regeneration speed when maxed out. Can be used on other friendly party members.>

Now that his defensive spells were maxed out. He summon his Ice armor and gripped his staff.

When he entered he stopped immediately. There were tens of bodies trapped in webbing hanging from the ceiling. All of then looked like withers husked that used to be human but were now drained of all life.

In ther center of the gymnastics, was a monster straight out of his own nightmares. It had the lower half of a spiders body and the upper half was a mixture between a human man with spider features. The monster had 6 human eyes that lined its fore head. The carapace its body lined its body up like armor. Even coating its head like a helmet.

<Arachnoid King level 15. Boss monster.>

Qwen took a step foward and he foot kicked a piece of metal. It was a someones long sword and sheild. So it looks like one of these bodies are from 'System users'. He could ponder on what happened be caused boss monster that was sleeping, eyes snapped open in Qwens direction and released a earth shaking roar.

Waaaaaarrrraaw!

The monster flashed from its spot and appeared directly in front of Qwen and slashed down with one of its blade like legs. Qwen wa already moving and dodge the downward slash narrowly. The Boss monster followed behind jumping into the air and slashing ferociously. Wind blades were flying out with each slash but Qwen was some how always able to be one set ahead.

He quickly flew into the air but the space was limited inside which was an instant disadvantage. At the same time, he noticed the world slow down to him. On the ground, he could barely see the claw that nearly severed him in half. Now it looked like the was moving in a bowl of molasses to Qwen.

Almost all of his stat points his stat points going into his INT stat was paying off. His speed was off the charts. The boss monsters physical stats were beyond him but Qwens magical strength was his ace on the hole to the 3rd degree. Flight took next to nothing. He could sense the wind fluctuations from every movement which allowed Qwen to dodge even faster. Qwen was here to train and he had a good target. He was here to over come the fear of death and practice a calm mind in battle.

His Universal Mind allowed Qwen to easily multi task and split his mind several times to perform multiple tasks. He needed to become stronger with close range battles. He wouldn't always be able get lucky and dodge the first strikes. He needed an ace in the hole for that scenario or make is body stronger.

Qwen looked at his status and saw that he earned 9,000 Shop Points which he mentally converted. The Shop Points now showed the number 90. He had Intermediate Rod combat skills but he didn't want to lose a staff attempting to bash a monster with it and it breaking. When he had a stronger staff that likely wouldn't be and issue. The staff he had was for a level 5 magic class user.

His other skill was Hand to Hand combat which had levels and a percentage, which was the only skill that was this way that he had. Now wasn't the time to test any theories. He attempted to max out hand to hand combat but at level 10 he was stopped.

<Upgrade to Advanced Hand to Hand? Yes or No>

"Yes!"

<Advanced Hand to hand learned. All of the martial arts on home planet learned. Level 1. (10%)>

Qwen ignored the pain and continued. He was already seeing the effects. He spotted a few openings already and would have already taken them if he was fighting another humanoid. Dodging away Qwen had an advantage. The closer he was to the 'Arachnoid King' the closer he got to its claws on its torso that moved like a meat grinder dispite his extra speed.

"Keep upgrading hand to hand!"

<Perfect Hand to Hand. You are at the pinnacle of martial arts and your mind is beginning to become one with your body. You are at the beginning stage of sensing spirit energy through martial arts. Level 1. (20%).>

Qwens mind had linked with his body. He was able to direct blood to his bones and muscles faster to increase his physical speed and strength. Over time the increase would eventually become permanent and the blood would go back to regulating normally but the bones and muscles would still have that same strength.

Even with Qwens 'Universal Mind' he had only increased his hand to hand stat to 2% when training on his own. In comparison, in that same time he was able to level some of his spells to perfection completely. Without using Shop Points, how long would it take to increase a combat skill past the perfect stage? Dispite that Qwen thought that the perfect stage was the end to leveling a spell or skill. It seemed that some were exceptions or does all skills have exceptions. He didn't know but he did know he wanted more power and he just found a way to become much stronger.

"Ten more SP to hand to hand!"

<Body cultivation. You have stepped into the realm of beginning of the Dao Martial arts. First each stage or level will eliminate impurities in your body. Stage 1. (30%)>

Qwen was at his pain threshold. Part of Qwens mind wanted to fall to the ground and scream on agony and pain but that was impossible. A 10 ton monstrosity was currently atteming to rip him apart. Qwen kept half his mind on the battle at all times. One third of his mind was on handling the non stop pain. The last part of his mind was deciphering a basic hand to hand cultivation technique.

While his mind was dealing with trouble he put himself in. Qwens body began spewing blood and black liquid out of his body. It literally dripped from his pours like sweat. At the same time his physical strength rose steadily.

<Impurities in your body released 5%. +10 STR, +20 AGI, +20 END>

<Unlocked Attribute Chi. Chi or Spirit energy is the energy from the earth and universe that can be absorbed to strengthen the body and also used in various forms externally.

Like mana it also has an integration period. Earth has gone through previous spiritual integration millions of years ago causing the ending of all dominate lifeforms at the time. Earth has an abundance of spiritual energy millions of years old. Spiritual energy enhances physical energy output. Increases body durability and extend a lifeforms lifespan at later levels.

By studying a cultivation technique this skill can raise physical attributes outside of leveling or items by absorbing Chi from the Elements. The Spirit attribute will display under the mana and health bar.>

<Martial technique learned 'Sage Body'.>

By this time a few minutes had passed. Qwens mind was working at an incomprehensible speed and seconds were tens of minutes in his mind. The 'Arachnoid King' had finally blew a gasket. Its rage went out of control at a little ant toying with it like it was a hatchling. Its lunch was toying with it! The mutated spider howled in rage before spraying coats of webbing all around. The roof above their heads forcing Qwen to the ground.

Qwen didn't have time to think after his foot slightly touched the ground. He was sent flying from the impact. The ice armor he wore was coated in electricity and the 'Arachnoid King' paid fo its aggression but it still folded like tin foil under the boss monsters might.

BOOOM!

The crackling sound of tens of thousands of volts of electricity flooded Its body flew backwards in the opposite direction. It was stuck on the ground laying on it's back. A few of its legs were twitching and momentarily stunned.

Qwen wasn't fairing any better. His armor had a massive slash mark on his chest. Claws had slice straight through and he could see the bone in his chest. He casted 'Regeneration before he even hit the ground and he was still in a lot of pain but the wound was already visibly closing.

He sat up and took advantage of the stunned monster. No not to attack but to take this to the next level. He was going to dispel all of the impurities in his body in one go!

He extended his arms and wall of wind and slammed into the 'Arachnoid Kings' body feeding over the entire area with artic winds and ice that slammed into the monsters body. The ice quickly formed layers and layers of rock hard effectively freezing its body still. Fury and indignation was frozen on its face. After a half of minute the ice was already forming tiny cracks.

Qwen burned half of his mana pool to freeze the area over -250° completely elminationing any chances for it to escape. Qwen could kill this monster with mana but that wasn't his goal. Something told him that committing to this new power was worth it.

Qwen didn't need to hold back anymore.

"Use 10 more Shop Points!"
