After the reveal

Walking onto the stage in front of the massive crowd of thousands of people. The crowd went wild when Qwen walked onto the stage.

For long seconds, the cheers shook the walls and even outside of massive building. The crowd couldn't believe the man behind the buzz was standing right in front of them. Qwen walked onto the stage slowly and awkwardly waving with hunched shoulders. They didn't quiet down until Qwen spoke.

"Um..h,Hello and thank you all for coming. I know your all wondering about the game. Is it real? Was it all special effects and CGI? Is what I'm seeing even possible? I can assure that it is and its all real! Using world class cutting edge technology, I have made the seemingly impossible, possible. My first major reveal is that.... that the game will be released today! In all stores as of this moment!"

The crowd began to stir and many people began to leave but Qwen stopped them. The gamers who were trying any way to get ahead of everyone else went back to their seats frustrated.

"Wait! This game isn't on any PC or console system. There is no disc to purchase or game to download. It is only available on one of these."

The assistant rolled out one of the shiny black helmet with a grey 'CG' written in the side.

"These are called a CG helms. They will all be activated once my prime helm is activated. The entire world will be able to play then all at once. Once these helms turn on they can never be turned off. They never need to charge. The reach of the helm can extend easily around the world from the highest mountains, too the deepest known depths.

The gaming helm will ways be able to connect to its server, always. Now I can stand here all day telling you about what it does or I can give everyone here a gaming helm helm to test it out right now for them.

By now, the crowd was practically foaming out the mouth with anticipation and exploded when they heard that.

"Reach under your seats. Each reporter will almost recieve one. Once you activate them they can only be used by yourself unless you give specific access to someone else. Each helm is theft proof and can also be tracked and located anywhere around the world so your investment will be protected."

The crowd roared as they grabbed their helms out of its box and put them on. The media that was present documented the entire event down to the smallest detail and the reporters also put theirs on.

"I'll have you all live streaming as you play right now. You will all also get to keep whatever stats you gain while inside. Have fun! I'll wait for you all to return. Once every one is ready I'll activate my helm and we'll be all entering the game.

After a few eager minutes the sound down has begun.

Diving in game in in 3....2....1."

DUURRRRMMMM

The massive screens were depicting the live game play.

Qwen had made many modifications to the game since the 1st day. The characters had to figure out their own way on this new earth-like planet. They all had a system.

A merchant shop system that was run on a coin based system of bronze, silver, and gold coins. Magical beasts and monsters that appears in forests, deserts, ocean, mountains. Their were dragons, floating islands, dungeons, labyrinths, guilds, schools for various professions as wells as quest to get everyone started. Qwen made things as real as possible with the additions of skill books that absorb knowledge directly into the person reading them but unlike scrolls they don't disappear after being used. The game was a modern world that was being transformed under everyones noses into truely another world.

All of the emotions, feeling, touches, smells, were all imput in game. There was pain sensors, a massive help team.

Everyone in the crowd went slightly limp. Thousands of screens lit up with cutscenes. As the multitude of videos played, Qwen kept speaking.

"In this world you can be anything that the system allows. All of the human sensations frome real life can be simulated in game. I want you all to understand this concept. You ARE inside the game almost literally. For now, you can only play as yourself. After a year then the new patch with altering starting race can be added. That doesn't mean their is nonway to change your race once the game begins. Once a human consumes dragons blood who knows what'll happen." Qwen chuckled at the last statement.

While all of the people were in game didnt respond. Thr worldnews outlets were going crazy at the news. The stunned media cameras piled in around the stage. All of their cameras focused on Qwen and the screen. All of these local media outlets soon had billions of viewers around the world. They had exclusive first rights, to the story of the century! All of the reporters outside were licking their chops. After about 30 minutes and they watched two days pass that's when one of the reporters who didn't go in game broke out of their stupor to ask a question.

"They haven't been in game a full hour, how is it that days are passing?"

"By altering the time dilation in game, I was able to let the mind seamlessly adapt to the the change in time. That is the best answer I can give you in the allotted time." Qwen responded.

Another female reporter raised her hand. "Is their any issue with prolonged exposure? What are the drawbacks physically and mentally?"

"There is a fail safe to log out the user if they are ingame too long if they goo too long without substance or need to use a rest room break. The gaming helm is completely waterproof, theft proof, and nearly indestructible. The software is state of the art and can't be replicated, hacked, or altered without myself." She frantically scribbled on her note pad as Qwen responded.

"Can this software be used for any other purposes outside of gaming?" This particular reporter wore a black suit and tie.

"This software no, It doesn't have any nefarious purposes or could used for such things. It simply wasn't designed that way."

"That you know about correct? It's all brand new like a newborn baby and you are just banking on the wow factor, huh? This kind of machine has to have a drawback. Something like this doesn't just happen over night so what is it?" The mans voice rose as he spoke longer.

Qwen didn't like this man instantly. He hadn't even tried it before making these accusations.

Qwen frowned and froze. He had an answer but couldn't speak due not being familiar with confrontation for years only created anxiety and panic. He began sweating bullets and breathing became difficult. Just when Qwen felt panic taking over, a lifeline showed it itself.

A few of the crowd members were coming out of the game and heard the last questions. Someone screamed at the man in the black suit.

"Hey, shut the hell up!" One man spoke.

"Harm? I feel refreshed. Some how I'm not even tired or uncomfortable! My body feels like I have a burst of energy and my muscles feel like they've been worked out slightly or something!"

"Oh my god! Everything about this thing is amazing! I can make thousands of free and cheap in game purchases! I'm going home right now, I gotta go!"

The reporter frowned at Qwen and stormed off. Qwen only smirked and turned to the cameras.

"This IS happening. I know its all going to seem scary. Believe me, I know, but change usually is terrifying. Think how I felt as the creator. I don't want anything except to create happiness in a world full of strife. The only thing I am doing is letting people choose what they want in their lives for once. For themselves to find true peace. If not in this reality, well at least they can in a digital one.

By the weeks end the gaming helms will be spread out around the world and nothing can stop this. That's all for now, I'll see you all in game!"

With that Qwen walked off stage followed by roaring storm of reporters. Qwen walked passed Matt's assistant and quickly walked outside.

People were watching their phones or tv screens. Everyone with their mouths gaping or talking saw him and pointed him out excitedly. Qwen exited the stage and headed toward back door where he could escape all the cameras and people.

Reaching outside minutes later, Qwen quickly ran blocks away to get away to find privacy. He needed space to be alone. He knew his private life would be over. He was far enough to call a 'LUber' to get home. After his ride arrived, he quickly entered the vehicle and ignored the drivers conversation. Qwen was done with talking with people.

He arrived back at home hurried into the house. Quickly closing the door, Qwen entered and put his back to it. He fell to his knees and shook all over. He wasn't this afraid when he fought a massive orc yet hes was still disabled by a large crowd. He went to his now multiple computer stations and at down he turned on the news.

Ths news about his game 'System End' filled the air waves. Everyone major news outlets were trying to get interview with he gamers at the convention. They asked about the authenticity of the gaming helms. They were inexpensive only 300 USD with no other needed accessories. The news reported on the massive lines already forming outside of every supermarket that had an electronics section in the US. The systems sent the world trade markets in a fenzy.

The other news was on the the games creator. Qwen tuned into the news and turned up the volume. He was on the screen.

'..and nothing can stop this. That's all for now, I'll see you all in game!'

"See you all in game? Man that sounded kind weak. At least, I had finished and it wasn't as bad as I thought." Qwen said to himself embarrassed.

He looked back at the news. An anchor was speaking to a panel of guests. A world class engineer from Germany who was a older man with glasses and a grey well maintained beard. There was a female physicist from India and a younger male a top economist from the U.S.

"How did he develop such advanced technologies. Its....simply groundbreaking. You can live a whole separate life in game. Nothing is the same thing twice. You can hold whole conversations with Non player characterslike they are real people! They are learning in the real world the same as the System users in game. It amazing! I also remember some of the skills even when out of the game! I know how to make a fire and what food in the wild that's safe to eat if I get lost in my area on earth. I cant believe it."

"This CG helm will impact the world market like never before. The question is, how will the game affect our society's economy. Many won't be happy about this new development and there could be possible backlash from the international community. The world will wonder the same thing, how will this affect their work force.

The physicist spoke next. "If it were not for the portal at the beginning and the start screen, one would have no clue they were ingame. The transition is that seamless. It's not only that, how did the game creator simulate things like altering gravity and flight? The concept of using a portal in the game? How did he convince the mind that it feels the sunlight! Right now this is the most cutting edge technology on earth!"

Upon hearing that. Qwen instantly felt less safe. What if someone wanted to experiment on him or kidnap him? It was time to dedicate all his time into training. His biggest weapon a the one thing he could change quickly is his strength.

Qwen got a buzz from his phone that had broken him of his thoughts. It's a message from his bank account that read $250,000,000.00. The next message was from Matt. 'For holding down the fort!!!!!$$$$😜😜'

Qwen fell back into his chair.

"HOLY HELL!"
