After an hour....
The drama was nearing the climax....
Jasper and Emery were drenched in cold sweat.....
"Skye, do you take Adara Ivy Jasper as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish until death do you part?"
"I do!"
"Adara, do you take Skye Anwyll as your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish until death do you part?"
"I do!"
Emery and Jasper then heaved a huge sigh of relief....
"May the Lord in his kindness strengthen the consent you have declared before the Church and graciously bring to fulfillment his blessings within you. What God has joined, let no one put asunder.
May these newly weds be blessed in Christ and the consent you have declared before the Church, was heard by those people and god. So that what God joins together, no one may put asunder"
The priest then blessed the rings and gave them on their respective hands...
They exchanged their rings and the priest said...…
"You may kiss the bride"
Adara's hands began to tremble in anger and turned her head in the direction of her family
"Oh god.... I told the priest numerous times…...I think he forgot" whispered Emery softly near Jasper
"Oh crap he called out the formidable statement! I'm not sure what is going to happen next! Definitely she is not going to beat up the priest and I'm afraid ...…" said Mayim in a sad tone
"Shhhhh" said Jasper
Skye walked two steps towards Adara came near her...….
(What was he going to do? I'm sure he does have a death wish! If he kisses me, I'll definitely....)
While she was cursing inside...
He grabbed her little hand and stuffed it inside his hands and kissed his hands itself!
Adara was astonished at his behavior!!
"I know what you people are thinking…. (with his gaze towards the front row) and Of course I'm straight...…But I'm allergic to kisses…. So Please give us our blessings and finish the wedding ceremony" said Skye while telling the last word towards the priest…...
The priest nodded and resumed the prayer...
"I think he heard us" said the woman in the front row in a low tone to the woman next to her.
Emery, Jasper, Mayim were like the people who saw the ghost in the basement of the house….
The never imagined the drama to end like this!
At last the wedding came to a smooth end....
