Fear

*WHAM* John woke up immediately. He was in this dark, humid area and the only thing he could see was this faint glow in the distance. It looked like it was about half a mile away. He got up and walked toward it. It was a fire, with a strange man sitting next to it. He had long, black hair and he was wearing a dark green cloak with dirt patches and little patches of red. It kind of looked like blood, but he wasn't sure. The strange man looked back, and he had an old looking face, and it reminded him of a younger version of his grandfather, but he had blonde hair and the man had black hair.

"So, you're awake." The strange man said.

"Who are you? Where am I?" Yelled John. He sounded very scared.

"My name is Alatar Wolfington. And you don't need to know that."

"Let me go! I have to go home! My mom is sick and my father is out working! I have to leave!" He sounded even more scared now.

"That won't be a problem." Then he snapped. John felt a weird sensation, and then a weird blue glow, just like the one he saw in the wolves eyes, was in the fire. Then, his mom came out of the blue glow. Then the man waved his arms in circles, and she looked better. She wasn't pale and she didn't have eye bags. Then, she disappeared.

"How would you like that power?" Said the man. "And many more powers along with that?" Then, he shrunk into his cloak, and out walked a wolf, with the same blue glow.

"So? Do you?" The wolf said.

"Wait, I can have that power?"

"Yes, and more, including healing and instant damage, or hurting something."

*Should I? This man kidnapped me, and then offered me this ability?* He thought.

"Why'd you knock me out? Why'd you kidnap me, and then give me an offer?"

"Because you, John Wilbur Bentley, are the chosen one."

"Is this a prank? Good one Charlotte! I'm ready to go home now! Mr. Dogginglop, it's been nice, but you're just an actor, right? My sister hired you right? I'm ready to go home Charlotte! Is this because I got you bad clothes, cause I won't anymore!"

"Charlotte's not here. She's asleep at your house, just like you should have been if you didn't want to be here."

"Ok you're annoying me now, so I'll just take you're offer and see if it's real. Which it's probably not. So I'm gonna leave now and go yell at my sister for this terrible prank."
