Akatsuki Member Captured

After leaving the village, Naruto and his team pressed on.

Reaching the spot where Team 10 had previously clashed with a pair of Akatsuki members,

"Is this the place?" Naruto casually asked.

"Yeah!" Shikamaru confirmed.

Giving the area a cool, careful look, Naruto seemed to take everything in with a quiet intensity for a few moments.

"Notice anything?" Ino prodded.

"Yeah, there's a chakra signature. It's pretty weak, but it's definitely there," Naruto responded.

"Can you track them with that?" Choji asked.

"Got them," Naruto declared, a smirk playing on his lips. "They're heading towards Konoha, taking a different path than we thought," he elaborated.

"Well, lead the way," Shikamaru directed, and with that, Naruto set off following the faint trail left by the two Akatsuki.

"Remember the plan, everyone?" Shikamaru questioned.

"Yes!" Choji and Ino said.

"So let's execute the plan without any mistakes!" Shikamaru said.

Meanwhile, Hidan and Kakuzu continued walking towards their own destination...

Suddenly, a long shadow approached them from behind. At the last moment, Kakuzu noticed it, and both of them jumped out of the way.

As they jumped to two different sides to avoid the shadow, suddenly two kunai with paper bombs rushed towards them...

"Paper bombs!" Kakuzu said.

*boom*

*boom*

As both paper bombs blasted in front of them...

"Kakuzu!" Hidan exclaimed as he slid a distance from the place the paper bomb blasted.

"I hardened my arm. I'm not injured. Forget that, watch out for the shadow," Kakuzu said as he also retreated to a distance from the place of explosion.

As they finally stood their ground, they saw the same shadow from before coming towards them at a good speed...

"We won't fall for it twice!" Hidan exclaimed with a slight smirk.

"Hidan, look up!" Kakuzu said as they both looked up to see Shikamaru above them, throwing two chakra blades towards them with paper bombs attached to them, one for each.

"It's another paper bomb!" Kakuzu said. "Hidan, look out!" He exclaimed as both dodged the blade with ease, the blades passing them and dropping to the ground.

As both of them waited for those two tags to explode, nothing happened. They continued to stare at them.

"It didn't explode?!" Hidan exclaimed to himself as he suddenly realized that he wasn't able to move at all. The same happened with Kakuzu.

"They got us..." Kakuzu said.

Shikamaru stood on a branch of a tree above them, smirked a bit, and then jumped off to stand in front of both of them.

"Shadow Possession Shuriken Jutsu... A success," Shikamaru said.

"I can't move..." Hidan thought as he tried to move his hands and legs but failed.

"You bastard... I dodged the shadow, so how did you..." Hidan exclaimed in frustration.

"The thing I threw is a chakra blade. I bet you know that it's made from a special metal that absorbs the user's chakra characteristics," Shikamaru explained.

"Kakuzu, what is he saying?" Hidan questioned Kakuzu in confusion.

"Idiot! Shut up, Hidan," Kakuzu exclaimed in anger.

"Due to the chakra absorbed, it exhibits power based on the user's jutsu," Shikamaru explained further.

"Now!" Shikamaru said as he settled with his Shadow Paralysis Jutsu completely.

Suddenly, two chains came from behind Kakuzu and Hidan as the chains wrapped around both of them, while at the same time, Shikamaru stopped his Shadow Paralysis Jutsu on both of them.

"What the hell!?" Hidan exclaimed in confusion. "Hey, Kakuzu, what is happening!?" He questioned.

"Good work!" Shikamaru said as Naruto jumped from the top of a tree and landed behind Kakuzu and Hidan, who were wrapped around by the Adamantine Sealing Chains technique of Naruto.

"Yeah, same to you!" Naruto said, as both Ino and Choji also stood behind Shikamaru.

Naruto lifted both Kakazu and Hidan from the ground using the chains. Despite their efforts to free themselves, they failed.

"No use, pal. These chains are used to bind powerful beings like tailed beasts. No matter how much you try, you can't free yourself. People like you should know that!" Naruto said with a smirk.

"You're...!" Kakazu strained, struggling to breathe as the chains wrapped tightly around his body.

"Naruto Namikaze... Or Uzumaki! Guess I've to decide on that later!" Naruto joked.

"Naruto, what will you do with them now?" Ino questioned.

"They will be good for getting important intel and information on the Akatsuki, so we will take them back to the village..." Naruto said.

"Do you think any of us will tell anything about the Akatsuki to you!?" Kakazu challenged.

"Yeah, I don't even have any information about them, even if I wanted to tell you!" Hidan added.

"You stupid, shut up Hidan!" Kakazu scolded.

"Is that so!?" Naruto asked. "I was thinking about taking only one of you. Since you said that, then we will only take him!" Naruto said, pointing towards Kakazu.

"So what will we do with him?" Choji questioned.

"I have a good idea what to do with him!" Shikamaru said.

After some time, Naruto and Shikamaru took Hidan to a nearby forest and buried him alive, just like in the canon.

[A.N: Just like canon, ya know, I didn't know what to do with him since he's immortal, so I went with canon. Also, just clicked, to write smart characters, you gotta be a bit of a brainiac yourself, no wonder I'm havin' a rough go of it.]

After that, Naruto used his Flying Raijin technique to take everyone back to their village and handed over Kakazu to the Leaf Village authorities for interrogation.

He kept Kakazu bound with his chains to ensure he couldn't cause any harm.
