Savior part 1

After seeing the blue orb in Luna's hands, Raven walks up to touch the orb hoping it could reverse her transformation.

As she places her hand on it, it does exactly as she thought it would do. Her black form stretches and morphs until her body is back to its original state.

"It worked!"

Raven tries to hold in her excitement as much as she can. After it wears off though, she turns to Luna expecting an apology for being wrong.

"See, I told you it was because of your power."

"I don't understand how. I wasn't able to use magic until now."

Raven thinks for a moment before shrugging her shoulders. "It doesn't matter. All I care about is being able to use magic again. Also, when free everyone, I want you to come back with me just for a short while."

"A short while? Why? You might keep your word, but how do I know they'll let me come back here?"

Luna sees the uncertainty in Raven's eyes. She can imagine Raven is just following the rules.

'I still don't know anything about her and her people. I haven't gotten this far in life by trusting others so easily. I have to know more before let her take me there.'

"I'm not going with you until you can reassure me that I can come back here."

"I might not have a choice." Raven pleads. "If I don't bring you back, someone else might. Then we'll both be in trouble."

Luna can't believe what she is hearing. This isn't what Raven told her all before.

'Unless. She was lying to me this entire time? Am I nothing more than a tool for them to use?'

Luna shakes her head. 'She has the choice to tell them about me. Raven doesn't care about what I want.'

"Please, Luna. What master is trying to accomplish is bigger than the two of us. We are fighting a war to save lives. Trillions of human lives, across the multiverse."

"Lives? What lives? Your lives? How many people have you killed? Whose lives are they trying to save?"

Farkas was quietly listing to their conversation as he was trying to meditate. He opens his eyes as he considers Luna's words. He looks at Raven, remembering her demonic form as she killed his gang members with a smile.

Luna takes a deep breath before continuing.

"I trust you because you saved my life twice. I don't know what they've done to warp your mind. You enjoy killing people, but you also want to save them?"

Luna walks away before Raven could speak.

Farkas closes his eyes again to meditate but to also speak. "She's not the military type like you are. She won't do something just because she's told to do it. She does things because she wants to."

Raven sits down next to Farkas and speaks without looking at him. "I need her to underground that this is bigger than all of us. This war we are preparing to fight, if we don't win, everyone will die."

Meanwhile...

Outside Trey's fortress the Zendarians prepare their assault. Snipers take their positions to provide coer for the ground troops while also taking out guards in the watchtowers before the assault begins.

Five snipers, each in different buildings, get ready to coordinate their strategy. One by one they take out guards with their silenced rifles. They make sure the guards they take out are not in the eyesight of any witnesses.

At the same time, the ground troops sneak in to take out any remaining guards with their guns set to stun since they don't make any sounds as they fire.

They split up in groups of three. Two soldiers to stun their target, one to follow and slice the throats to neutralize the guards for good.

By this point, over half of the guards that were on patrol are dead. Over one hundred Zendarian soldiers had entered the fortress, and that number was steadily rising.

One of the soldiers who had not seen much combat, was horrified when he saw his comrade kill a female civilian by stabbing her in the neck. He could have just watched her walk past them, but his teammate knew all these people were going to die anyway.

He had no time to argue. This was a combat zone, after all. Any wrong move could end in disaster.

"Derek?"

He turns his head after hearing his teammates voice through his earpiece. He had strayed too far from the formation.

"Yeah. I'm right behind you."

Derek rushes towards his two teammates.

"This is no time to slack off." The soldier covered in blood says. "We have t....."

His words are cut short as a black tendril pierces his head. It expands causing his head to explode, covering Derek and his other teammate in blood and brain matter.

Derek's first instinct is to run, and that's exactly what he does as the other soldier fires at it. Derek hears the screams of his teammate as he runs away.

'If I fight that thing, I'll die. We need to lure it into an open space.'

As Derek runs down a hallway, Luna rounds the corner and quickly pins Derek to the wall. Trey follows close behind and notices the symbols on the soldiers armor.

"Zendarians. Why are you attacking us?" Trey knew his answer wouldn't change anything.

"We don't have time for him right now." Luna says. "Tie him up. We'll keep him as a prisoner."

Even though Trey was technically the leader, since he and others decided to become werewolves, they saw Luna as their alpha.

She was, after all, one of them. Having the direct blood of Raven's master helped too. They didn't know why, but they felt as if she would become a great leader for them one day.

Trey does as she asked and tied Derek up. "I'll bring him to the escape tunnel and try to help as many as I can to escape just in case. You'll have to keep the soldiers occupied so they don't figure out what we are doing. If they find the tunnel, they'll be able to track us."

Trey's words fell on her like a ton of bricks. She wondered if Raven could hold off the soldiers by herself, or if she had to help her. She knew she wouldn't be much of use, her magic wasn't strong enough to defend herself against their weapons.

She knew there was a good chance she would die if she fought them. But what other choice did she have? They saw her as their leader, and in her mind, a leader protects their subjects.

Luna runs off to help Raven. Her heart racing as she thinks about the danger she's putting herself in.

Sounds of gunfire reverberate in the halls as she gets closer. There's a loud crash, followed by smoke. Up ahead, there's a large hole in the building. Raven had taken this fight outside.

Raven was one step ahead of her. She was trying to draw all the attention to herself to allow the others to find safety.

Luna reaches the hole and looks out of it. She sees Raven holding her ground, attacking the soldiers without any hesitation.
