The Flashback continued
On my sixteenth birthday after walking home with Jadenne and Kaylee, as Kaylee's mom always picked up the twins from the daycare, I entered the house with Kaylee and Jadenne and I dropped myself on the sofa in front the television. "What happened between you and Hades?" Kaylee asked looking me in the eyes, I shook my head and chuckled, "He came to let me know what was expected of me when his dad gets approval of my hand in marriage." I answered her with a sigh. Kaylee laughed "Doesn't he know that Tyler owns that hand and everything attached to it?" she stated while chuckling, with a smirk on her face, "Not funny Kay." I added laughing. "Anyhow.." I continued, "Elijah thought he had to add to the conversation and I just lost it and the 'bad attitude' that I'm accused of having decided he needed a beat down." I finished, Kaylee laughed even louder, "The look on Hades and Maddox faces was priceless." she said in between laughter.
The doorbell then rung, "Did you call Tyler?" I asked Kaylee, "No." she stated as we made our way to the door, as we opened it there stood my parents looking disheveled, this was so unlike them. "Where are the twins and Dan?" mom asked me, "Upstairs." Kaylee answered instead, my mother did not respond she just pushed past us and ran up the stairs. "Remi, you and Jadenne get into the car quickly, we have to go." my dad said as he began to usher Jadenne and I out of Kaylee's mother house, "Where?" I asked grabbing my phone, my father grabbed my phone out of my hand and threw it on the floor breaking it. "No phone too easy to track us." he said as he grabbed me by the hand and guided me to the car as my mother rushed past a confused Kaylee and out the door with the twins and Dan. We drove to the airport and was instantly ushered to a boarding gate and into a plane.
After spending hours on the plane we arrived on a tiny twin island in the Caribbean called Trinidad and Tobago, we lived here peacefully for awhile and on my nineteenth birthday I enrolled and was accepted into Berkeley College at the New York City campus. Kaylee and Tyler were also attending this College, the three of us stayed in contact with each other after my parents whisked me away through my cousin Nikki, so now we were finally together again. Tyler and I now officially began dating but this all became short lived as four months before my twenty-first birthday I got a call from Jadenne telling me our parents were found dead on a plane during one of their many mysterious trips abroad. It was now necessary for me to go home now, Kaylee and Tyler wanted to go back with me, but Kaylee got a call from her mother telling her she had to return home. Tyler however returned to the islands with me to deal with everything.
Tyler left the islands two weeks after my parent burial and after two months of us being in contact with each other, Tyler sent me a message stating that my siblings and I were in danger. He said that he could no longer keep in contact with me as his calls maybe being monitored and that he loved me and I'm safer without him. For four years we hid on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago now we are on the run again.
END OF FLASHBACK
The next morning I lazily crawled down the staircase and entered the kitchen, everyone was in the kitchen finishing their breakfast and heading out the door, as Jadenned passed me he lightly laid his hand on my shoulder and placed a peck on my cheek. "No matter how much we fight, I still care about you and thanks for worrying." he said to me and then rushed out the door, I smiled and shook my head at least he apologized maybe I can ease up a bit, try to live a little. So with that in my mind I went took a bath, and got dressed in a black two piece long sleeve blazer and knee high skirt suit and headed to the restaurant. Sang was all smiles as I walked in, he followed me around the restaurant being cute and sweet, until a delivery that needed his attention arrived at the restaurant, I was then left alone to oversee things in the kitchen and floor. As I was assisting at the bar one of the bartenders named Vicki walked up to me, where I was at the bar.
"He likes you, you know." she says with a smile and a wink, I looked at her confused, "What are you talking about now Vicki?" I asked, she laughed. "Don't tell me you haven't noticed?" she almost shouts, "Vicki not so loud." I chided her with her smile, "Sorry." she answered "But you do know that Sang likes you. He has never been this attentive or excited over a new worker before, especially the female workers." she finished with a sly grin on her face and as if on cue Sang walks through the kitchen doors and heads towards my direction with a smile on his face. Vicki discreetly walks away giving me a wink as she does, I smiled and shook my head, Sang walked up to me "Care to accompany me to a winery this evening?" I looked at him in surprise, "A winery?" I asked, he smiled and nodded "Sure." I replied to Sang, he then took my hand, "Let me drop you home and I'll pick you up at six o'clock, dress semi-formal." I chuckled and let him take my hand and lead me out the restaurant, I arrived home early.
Nikki preened and prodded at me as she was at home when I got there, "Perfect." she stated as she stepped back and looked at me, dressed in one of Nikki's creation a black backless dress with an asymmetrical backless design, a shoestring tied up on my back and mid thigh length. It was body hugging and stretchy, on my feet were clear formal dress pumps with diamond T-straps, "Date worthy." she added. "This is not a date Nikki." I responded as I rolled my eyes, "Right" she sighed and smiled at me, at half past five that afternoon the doorbell rang.
