Start of the competition

Over the next week, I spent quite a bit of time with Wang Jian.

However, one thing that kept happening was that people would come up to me and ask for money.

Every time, I just tossed it on the ground and let them pick it up.

Every time, they picked it up without a single word and then left.

Wang Jian kept looking at me with a worried look when he saw this, but I just told him, "It's fine, think of it as an investment."

Though he nodded, it was clear that he wasn't thinking the same thing as me.

But that didn't matter since I didn't bother explaining anything.

Though my senior brothers and senior sister were concerned about the friend that I chose to make…It seemed that Wang Jian's reputation had spread quite far that even my senior brothers and senior sister knew about him.

Still, I didn't worry about any of this.

After the week passed, the people that would be participating in the tournament finally all gathered.
