The Rescue

I woke up, very very tired. We are guarded by foolish guards.

"Wakey, wakey now," one of the guards said. As I opened my eyes, my eyes burned in pain.

A light was literally shining at my eye. Well, it was actually the gun's flashlight. "Yeah, that's right. This is your—first or second day?" The other guard said, "It's their first day, they were just here overnight."

I coughed. "Oh, it's time for breakfast. We must be having that cornbread!" one of them said intoxicatedly. "You guys stay here. There will be no way to escape."

They shut the door very hard, making a breeze smash into our faces. "Those guards are very dumb-minded," Glenn said. "Who doesn't think that?" I said. Chief got out a book, and his eyes started dampening. "What's wrong?" Glenn asked. "What do you have?" I wondered to myself. "Oh, nothing. It's just my—" Chief stopped. I nodded, knowing what he was trying to say. It seems like everyone has had the same story. I sat back down. "I was only five," Chief said.

"I was only ten," I verbalized. "These ruthless people just...just want to ruin our lives." Glenn sat down with me. "There are plenty of people who are bad. But, there are good people too." He looked at me. "Like him."

I smiled. But that only made me think of Jack. Was he a good person, or a bad person? I got my thoughts of it. The guards came inside the room. "We're back!" one of them said. "And we're just visiting." Who said that? One of the guards fell to the ground. "Surrender yourself!" the voice, Waxer, shouted. The guard got his walkie talkie. He was shot. "Let's go soldiers, we've got a battle to fight. I leaped with joy. "Let's go!" men shouted.

About eight soldiers including Chief, Glenn and me, were running through the path. Then, someone fell. "Enemies!" I shouted.

"Kill them!" "Watch out!" Many men fell and died. Bullets soared through the cave. "Get down!!!" Waxer said. I crawled on the wet, soggy ground. Then, surprisingly, a grenade blasted. I flew away from the rest. As many flew to their path, men were laying dead right on the spot. I hit my head on a wall. Ouch. "Well, well, well. Look at the soldier who was saved." Commander Elias walked towards me, with a gun in his hand. "Get...away...from me," I rasped, hoping for help. "Really, now?" Elias said, laughing at me. "I think you—" he had an unexpected pause. "—should get away from me. He plotted my death with his pistol. I needed to find something.

I found a stick by me, it was very spiky. I threw it at him, and he shouted. "AAARGH!!" he cried. "So, that's how you wanna play huh?!" He blew me in the face very hard. I doubled over, clutching my cheek. Elias shot his pistol and missed. I rolled over, trying to aim at his leg. He looked at me, and somersaulted backwards. He ran at full speed, getting ready for the hit that may end my life. His gun flew as I jumped. You're a complete failure," he barked. "Your friends, your parents, and the whole America. We must rise to claim your land."

I blew him in the face. I walked backwards, almost about to fall. He swung his leg and I used my hand to block it. "You spoiled plonker. A nitwit!" he shouted.

He threw me to the ground. His leg raised up and came down very fast. Good thing, I had great reflexes, I held his feet. "As the world tries to drop on you. You can't hold it for long." He was right, referring to the situation compared to the world. I couldn't hold it for long. I looked around. My hands were breaking apart. I threw it away from me. He kicked me, and I fell over. Not really. I hung over the cliff inside the cave. "Hey, can I say something," I said. Elias' face had a tint of abhorrence. "See ya," I said. I laid a grenade by his feet. He started to run. And I took my hand off. Then, the whole place turned white.
