The Hunt

The jet flew all the way from Wakanda over to Paraguay. Apparently, this was where the slave traders were. Once they neared the country's borders, the jet stopped in the clouds above the capital before pulling up the information on the two suspects.

One of the suspects was the crown princess of Narobia called Zanda, although this was more of a title than a name. The woman had somehow gone from princess to terrorist and mercenary which would usually complicate matters but since she had kidnapped two Wakandans, even her status meant nothing to them.

The other was a man called Douglas Scott. He was from South Africa and the leader of a somewhat famous mercenary group. Why he agreed to a job such as this was confusing but it didn't matter any longer. His life had been forfeited by his own hands.

J'Zaki was looking at the schematics of the warehouse that the pair and their soldiers had the kidnapped individuals in when Linoh walked over.

"I think you will want to see this, your highness."

The hologram changed from the schematic to a live news feed. The fame warehouse he was just looking at was on the news with dozens of police officers outside of it. The reporter was speaking in Spanish but it was obvious what was going on. Their targets had been found by the local government and the situation had gotten much more complicated.

"How are we going to approach it?"

"The same as before. Drop in, kill all the mercenaries, and get out. The police can clean up the mess we leave behind."

"If you say so. I say we enter through two sides. You come in through the roof here. I will go into the sewers and lay in wait there."

"In case I fail?" J'Zaki raised an eyebrow

"Yes. Because you cannot see the future and you can fail. No matter how powerful you become."

J'Zaki felt that his teacher was too worried but didn't say anything to disagree with her. Most of the lessons that she taught him and he didn't choose to listen to had ended up biting him in the butt. Better to be safe than sorry.

Linoh put the jet in stealth mode before flying it over the warehouse and dropping off J'Zaki. Once he was out, she took it to the nearby lake and landed on the water. After making sure that no one could see it, she exited the began to swim toward the sewer entrance. As soon as she neared the entrance, Linoh was able to see a boat inside.

"Looks like they also planned to use the sewer to get away. There is a small speedboat here that can carry up to 5 people."

"Hmm," was the only response Linoh got though she didn't mind. J'Zaki was around hostiles at the moment so he couldn't afford to get caught talking too much.

Inside the warehouse, J'Zaki had already managed to slit the throats of 3 different members of the patrol before the mercenaries became aware that someone had gotten inside. But by then, it was already too late. The patrols near the hostages had been taken care which meant that there was little they could do to threaten him.

"He's over there!"

"Get him!"

"We need backup-agh!"

All the guards that approached were taken down with precision and ease. Before Douglas and Zanda realized it, all of their men had been killed off by a figure they had not even seen a glimpse of.

"Shit! I told you we should have those Wakandans go! Now we have to deal with the Black Panther!" Zanda yelled at Douglas and pushed him. As a member of the Narobian Royal Family, she had some information on the Black Panther who was the guardian of the Royal Family and protector of Wakanda. As soon as the two people mentioned they were from there, she told Douglas that they needed to release them. But the man was stubborn and refused.

"Well, it's too late for regrets and I told you so now. Let's head down to the boat and get the hell out of here."

"Do you think I would allow that?" a voice spoke from the darkness. Zanda did not hesitate to fire 6 shots at where the voice had come from.

"Did you get him?" Douglas asked. Zanda hoped so. Because the only thing scarier than an angry jungle cat was an injured and angry jungle cat.

"She missed."

Douglas was pulled into the darkness. He fired off as many shots as he could at the person dragging him but soon, the bullets stopped. And Zanda did not want to find out why.

The woman rushed to the sewer exit like they had planned, firing a bullet behind her every now and then in case the Black Panther was on her tail. But because she was so focused on the hunter chasing her, she did not pay attention to the hunter that had already laid out a trap which resulted in her getting clotheslined by a vibraniun spear.

Linoh was about to stab the spear into her heart when J'Zaki stopped her.

"Wait. Let's bring her back to Wakanda. She can be executed publicly there."

In her blurry vision, Zanda saw a figure walk out of the shadows wearing all black. His hands were covered in blood, which she could only assume were from her partner and men.

'So that is the Black Panther.'

The pair took Zanda to the boat she was prepared to board and used it to get back to their jet without having to swim with their prisoner. Once they were on the jet, all they had left to do was return to Wakanda with their prize.
