The bell went off, school was finally over with it's long lessons and activities.

"See you at drama club Lucretia." said Nina, the president of the drama club.

"Okay...Nina" she replied with a grin.

Lucretia took her bag and left together with Mimie and Crystal to their locker.

"I think I will skip club meeting today. My family and I are going over to grandma's place for a visit. Please, help me inform Nina okay?" said Crystal.

"Okay Nina, I got you covered." said Lucretia.

"Thanks girl.., then I will leave first." she said with a smile and dashed off.

"So have you been able to figure out your true feelings for Philip? asked Mimie.

" Yes Mimie but I don't want to talk about it now. I had a hard day already, let's talk about it later." said Lucretia as she slammed her locker door closed and left.

" Hey...., wait for me girlfriend." said Mimie, running after her.

CLUB ROOM

"Have you girls seen Daisy..? She is the main lead for the drama, she should be here by now...."

Nina nearly ended her statements when the door slammed opened.

" talk of the devil." murmured Lucretia.

"I'm here now" said Daisy, entering glamorously with her friends.

"Such a drama queen she is." said Mimie.

Daisy deliberately heard her and gave her a venomous stare.

"Oops..., she heard me."

"Yes I did, psycho..." answered Daisy indifferently.

"Hey...watch it." said Mimie indignantly.

"Calm down Mimie, just let her be." said Lucretia, calming Mimie. Just then, she heard a bing on her phone, pulled it out from her bag and checked.

I'm going for soccer practice, will wait for you at our waiting point.

She was about to reply when Nina's voice interrupted.

"Can we start now?" asked Nina, looking all worked up.

"Yes" they all chorused, dispersing off to their roles.

They rehearsed for about an hour and brought everything to an end with a clap from Nina.

"Thank you all for coming and see you tomorrow."

Everybody dispersed leaving Mimie and Lucretia in the club room. Lucretia sat quietly for a while.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah...., let's go." she said picking up her bag.

They walked through the halls to the corridor, chit chatting.

"I think I will leave you here. I have someone waiting for me."

"Sure Lucretia.., see you tomorrow." she answered and they went their separate ways.

Lucretia has been standing at the entrance of the school for about 2hours now without any trace of Philip.

"It's getting late, where the hell is he? Let me try his line once again."

Lucretia has been trying Philip's line for a while now but he wasn't answering. After another 30mins of waiting, she saw Philip approaching.

"Phil..., what's all this about?" she asked, a bit pissed off.

"So sorry Luc, I was caught up in something."

"And what was this thing that was so important that you ignored my calls?" she asked looking pissed.

"You know I've been crushing on Daisy for a while now and the chance as presented itself so I took the bull by the horn" he replied smiling sheepishly.

"Oh..., I see. So can we go now?" asked Lucretia looking indifferent and dashed off.

"Yeah...but why are you sulking? Aren't you happy for me?" he asked going after her.

"Yeah.., I'm so happy for you." she said sarcastically.

They walked to the bus stop with Philip still trying to cheer Lucretia up but to no avail. Just as they got to the bus stop, the bus pulled up in front of them. Lucretia went in first, found a seat beside the window and sat down. Philip also sat beside her still calming her down.

"Can you stop this Phil? It's irritating."

"But...I just...," he was cut by Lucretia plugging her earphone into her ears and turning to the window.

"Luc..., what's all this about?" he asked removing the ear phones from her ears.

"It's nothing..."

"Nothing..., and you expect me to believe that? This is so not you Luc. You can talk to me Luc.." he asked, looking concerned.

"How can I tell you that I'm in love with my best friend." she thought to herself starring blankly at Philip without noticing.

She was drawn back to reality by the bus pulling up at their stop.

"It's totally nothing Phil, l'm sorry for acting immature earlier." she replied whiles getting off the bus

"Hey...Luc..." he said going after her.

Lucretia got home with a long face and slammed herself on the sofa with a sigh beside her mother.

"Is dad back?"

"No Sweetheart.., what's it with the long face? Is everything alright?"

"Yes mum..., just had a tough time today." she answered and left to the kitchen for a glass of water.

"Then...,I will be in my room." she answered already leaving to her room.

"Okay dear..."

Hours later, Lucretia heard a knock on her door.

"Come in..., the door is not locked."

The door flew opened with Mr. Gilbert standing at the entrance.

"Oh dad.., you are back already."

"Yes Sweetheart" he answered walking over to Lucretia.

"I heard from your mum that you had a hard day at school today. Is everything alright?"

"Yes dad.., it's nothing serious." she replied with a grin.

"Okay dear...but you can share your problems with us when you are ready to spill it out." he replied pulling his daughter in for a hug.

"Okay...dad.." she replied with a nod.

"Lucretia..., I need your help over her!" called Mrs Angelica from the kitchen."

"Okay...,mum..." she answered back.

"I will leave to the kitchen now dad..." she said with a grin.

"OK dear..."

Lucretia was busy browsing the net when a video call caught in.

"who is this?" she murmured to herself, picking the call.

She picked and two beautiful smiles greeted her.

"Linsey....., Anita..." she exclaimed excitedly.

"Hi... girlfriend...." they exclaimed in unison.

"It's been ages.., where have you girls been? I tried severely to get in contact with you but I couldn't reach any of you."

"Yeah...yeah..., we went on strike." said Linsey jovially, laughing.

They chit chatted for almost an hour then suddenly, a loud sound came from the corridor of Lucretia's window. She got startled and turned to her window

"What the hell was that?" they chorused.

"Excuse me girls...." she said leaving to the window.

She opened to check and it was Philip.

"Phil....?" she said looking surprised.

"What are you doing here at this hour?"

"I came to check on you, I was worried. You were not looking cheerful the whole of today."

"Oh...my..God, Phil. I told you I was fine. Anyway, come in."

"Who is that Lucretia..., your boyfriend?" questioned Linsey and Anita on setting eyes on Philip.

" Crazy....., he is just a friend" she said fidgeting.

"Philip...., this is Linsey and Anita, my childhood friends. Girls..., this is Philip, my best friend."

" Oh..., best friend..? Then what about us..?" asked Anita sarcastically.

"Nevermind Anita.., I think we are making someone uncomfortable." said Linsey, laughing.

"Hi...girls.., nice to meet you."

" Nice to meet you too, Philip." they both chorused, smiling sheepishly.

They continued to talk late into the light then Linsey checked the time.

" Gosh..., we're are so damn going to be late for school tomorrow."

" We got to go Lucretia, we'll talk tomorrow." said Anita.

" OK..., bye..." she replied and hanged up.

She closed the laptop and pushed it aside turning to Philip.

"It's late Phil, you've got to go or are you going to sleep here?"

"So what if I decide to?" he said, searching Lucretia's face.

Lucretia starred at him stunned with her heart beating so fast having his face so close to hers. It's not like it's the first time though but this time, things are different.

"Oh....my....God..., he is so....close. What should I do...? Should I kiss him to let him know my true feelings for him? No, what if he starts to hate me?" she thought to herself, blushing.
