A Precaution Against Theft

~CHINK~

A mechanical sound was heard when Arthur inserted the card into the side of the box.

He then did as Caleb had asked and placed his hand on top of the box. It had an imprint drawn on its top that looked like a hand.

~HUMM~

As soon as Arthur placed his hand, the box glowed and runes appeared on its surface. Waves of magical energy could be felt coming from the box as a magic circle formed around Arthur's hand and the place where the identity card was inserted.

'I can read these runes at least…' Arthur identified the runes easily.

These were the normal runes that most magicians used and weren't the unknown ones that were present in the Tomb of Kestrel. The process lasted for a few seconds before the magic circles disappeared.

"And it's done." Caleb stated, prompting Arthur to lift his hand.

He took out the card and felt a link between him and the card.
