Chapter 8

Target acquired, 3 goblin scouts, 1 with a dagger 2 with bows [now little guys guide me to your home].

As I get ready for my full course meal, using the 「Shadow Step」skill I follow behind without being noticed. I can't keep using the shadow step, reason being that I need to get used to dodging so people won't get suspicious of me, thus when i get near the goblins hideout I 「Lunge」at the three scouts and reveal myself and fire off a flare signaling the extermination squad.

In front of me were many trees few of which were torn, animal carcasses, 30 or so goblins pointing their weapons at me and a very fluffy squirrel... [Omega Fluff spotted! Proceed to PAT.]

In my frenzy to pat Mr.Flufferbutts the goblins attacked and thus operation: Protecc Mr.FB begins, the perfect way to train the dodge skills.

The melee goblins were pretty useless, no technique, no style just crazy swings and stabs, all of which were easy to dodge and counter. The ranged combatants had no accuracy but they could fire off arrows at a fast pace... but still easy.

Around 3 minutes in to the battle most of the melee enemies were dead and I even had time for few quick bites, but sadly they were useless, the goblins had no skills other than 「Regeneration(low)」which as one would have guessed is useless for me.

Thankfully the thanksgiving turkeys have shown themselves, the goblin magicians, 3 of them all lined up at the back firing off fire and earth magic without any consideration for their kind, but that makes my job easier, they cook the food and I eat.

I don't have much time until the extermination squad arrives to 'help' so I have to get to the magicians quick, whilst being careful so Mr.Flufferbutts doesn't get scorched I「Lunge」and dodge my way to the sorcerer supremes, the space around me condenses and forms crystalline jaws much bigger than before in front of me and cleaves the neatly lined up magician goblins in half, in that instant I start shoveling all the magic goblin meat in my mouth for optimum time usage.

As I start getting the notifications, I start to see the goblins switch their target from me to somewhere else [the 'help' has come at a good enough time]. I finish quickly finish up on my meal and head towards the extermination squad.

I quickly explain the situation and the numbers of the enemies as I unleash Mr.FB into the wild, the hunters and farmers get into a pseudo battle formation and started their business of exterminating.

20 minutes of hardcore fighting later the extermination was done with few injured on our team but no casualties, the loot collected was consisted of goblin ears, eyes, nails and few good looking but still shabby weapons the goblins were using. one of the weapons that we got was a bone staff made from a skull and a leg of a deer, no one in the team knew magic except for me [;)]:

[Magic Affinity BABY!] I was also the one to kill the goblin magician thus I could claim the staff as my loot.

When we returned to the town I went to my shed and inspected my newfound treasure, the bone staff looked plain at first but when I started feeding it mana, runes with unknown characters lit up, I had no idea what the characters meant but by focusing I could sense what they did, they took the mana , condensed and then focused it at a single point, the same thing I do to create the tiny amounts of sparks by manipulating external mana.
