A sudden wave of energy flashed from Shito's body, an aura that was pure black, made from energy darker than nothingness, but the aura a smooth grey and dark purple film.
Energy from his body was being released, but he was not influencing their souls so no matter how much power he released their souls would not get stronger or absorb his nothingness energy. He was keeping his mana away from the people while letting the people get any stronger than he found them.
Suddenly, A transparent ball of light was covered in a film of various colors.
The balls of light were the artificial souls that he created for the elves. There were enough souls for each of the dead elves to have one. The souls were lined up above the bodies of the people they were going to inhabit.
All the souls in the area were taking something from the bodies of the fairies, something that was in a white light. The white light was the memories of the fairies. He was taking their memories and infusing them with their souls. After all, that was how most people were. Shito's memories were held in his soul along with everything that made up his existence, and if he died, he could always come back to life by reincarnation or he could transfer his soul and memories to another body.
"What are those things that Papa is creating, Mama…?" Illya asked, curiously. It was normal for her to ask those kinds of questions since she had never seen a soul before. Of course, she killed countless people, but she was not powerful enough to see the souls of other people.
"Those balls of light are souls," Illayaka replied answering her sister's question, "He is creating souls for the elves while simultaneously placing their memories in their souls."
Tenka looked at Shito, smiling brightly, "I'm guessing that's needed for him to be able to return them to the person they were before they died."
"You are right about that Mama… you are really smart did you know that!" said Illayaka.
She patted her daughters on the head. They were standing directly beside their mother, looking at their father who was reviving the fairies.
As the twins were looking at their father, analyzing the ability their father was using because they were going to add it to their arsenal… after all, they had the ability to copy magic abilities just like their father could. But the others were looking at him in awe, including Tenka for the first time in their lives they were going to witness an ability that was hard to use even for the top mages.
But while all the others were happy, The Void King, who was using the skill did not seem to be happy at all. He could revive everyone in the world if he wanted to so a mere two thousand people was not going to impress him. In front of him, impossible things become possible. Even if he couldn't revive the fairies, he wouldn't be sad, because he didn't feel those kinds of emotions for people that aren't his comrades, but he was still a human, so he was filled with human emotions even if he did not know how to express them.
But for a couple of days, he's been with his daughters and Tenka, in the deepest part of Shito's soul— emotions that he had never experienced started to come forward. From the times that he could not feel any joy, he started to feel those kinds of things because he liked being with his family. Being blessed with knowledge in strength was enough to change him enough to the point he did not want to express anything, but that changed when he got kids of his own and a woman who wanted to stick by his side. A woman that would do the same things he would do if their family were involved.
Although, even if there was something that would come to his head Shito would invertedly ignore them because those kinds of things didn't matter.
Nothing could take his mind off the goals he had, if he wanted something to be done then it was going to be done with no questions asked, even if his subordinates stepped in and did it themselves. Even with his knowledge sealed, he could calculate things to a degree that made him even faster than a computer.
Regardless of the emotions he couldn't feel, he still wanted to help the fairies because that was something his daughters and companions would want him to do. Thus, he continued with the souls that were floating around the barrier, their souls were already refined to the highest degree, and the two thousand fairies started to regenerate, and the souls were being absorbed into their bodies, resurrecting them. It was a seamless flow, everyone who witnessed his power faces was frozen in shock, a miracle happened before their eyes
Only three people were even more shocked than the rest of the people, Artemisia, Chloe, and Cecilia.
The fairy twins were beyond shocked, their eyes looked like they were about to pop out of their sockets, their faces were pale as a sheet. They were witnessing the revival of their people, and they had front-row seats to do so, A magic that allowed people to revive anyone that they wanted to without any consequences whatsoever.
Even though the twins were high-ranking ones in the fairy race, they could not use the spell and they were devastated that their people had no hopes of survival, but the sudden appearance of a person made the possibility possible.
They knew that the person that was standing before them was the person that helped them save their clan members and above all… save the Fairy Queen who was devastated by the loss of her people. This was enough for them to put their trust in the group of adventures that were going to save their town… unknown to them, they were looking at the little brother of the strongest mage in the world, someone in whom they placed their trust since she was the one that helped all of the races including the cruel demon race.
The Fairy Queen, Artemisia, was watching someone that she placed her hope in, fulfill everything that he had asked her to do. It was not like she didn't honestly believe in him, but most humans would lie to gain favor with the fairies or spirits, and she finally met someone who would not lie and not go back on their promise.
Unlike all the people present, Sebastian was looking at his master in awe, gazing at his every move in utter joy. Of course, he believed in his master, but seeing his master use that kind of ability made him happy.
…Or maybe it was because of him seeing his known to be cruel master, doing something that helps other people and not himself. This was something that he wanted to see from the bottom of his heart because after living in the deepest parts of the void realm, he had never seen his master do anything that benefited others… unless it was his people.
This is the way I would like to see my liege… even though I would stick with him even if he turned into the cruelest person in the world… after all, I would turn cruel alongside him, and together we could bathe this world red with the blood of our enemies, but I'm glad it didn't have to come to that, Sebastian thought to himself.
The fairy's minds restarted, and they wanted to find a way to get themselves acquitted with him.
Thus, the hope of the fairies was fulfilled.
When Shito's finished his task, he turned around towards his family and friends, walking towards them. He was not exhausted by all the mana he displayed, matter of fact, he didn't feel like he lost any mana in the slightest.
"Wow that was amazing," Lucia continued, "How did you do that? I haven't seen anyone use that skill in years…"
"What are you talking about," Lilith chimed in, "None of us have seen that skill because no one was powerful enough to do it, and the person that could be his sister."
"You know this is the first time I'm hanging out with uncle and his friends," Alice said, "And this is fun… I hope we get to fight together."
Shito couldn't help but slightly smile at the group, "I guess you are right… handing out with you all is kind of enjoyable."
"Did you just smile….!?" the group shouted in unison.
For most, it would be their first time seeing him smile and for the ones that had seen it before, it was surprising because it was gentler, giving off a warmer feeling.
But after being called out, Shito's face instantly reverted back to his normal, calm, and stoic expression.
"No, I did not smile… you all are clearly seeing things."
As they were bickering, the fallen fairies were beginning to gain consciousness, and their light wings were beginning to flash once again. The fallen spirits were still confused about the things that were going on. They thought they were in the afterlife… but unknown to them…
The Fairy Queen and the twins were happy to see the people awake, and they ran toward them. Then, the realization had finally sunken, and they noticed that they were alive again, they were happy to be able to see their queen again, to see the family that had lost.
At that moment, none of them noticed that a human was the person that revived them. They were still lost trying to grasp why they were alive, but the only thing they could do was celebrate their sudden revival. After all, it was something most people wouldn't be able to witness.
