Pure terror

Anubis 2 led his trio of demons through the dense forest, their grotesque forms blending seamlessly with the shadows. The air was thick with tension, and their eerie silence was punctuated only by the occasional rustling of leaves underfoot. They were on a mission to strike terror into the hearts of the unsuspecting villages that lay ahead.

As they ventured deeper into the wilderness, the first village on their list came into view. Nestled between a small river and a dense thicket, it seemed peaceful, a stark contrast to the malevolence that approached.

Anubis 2's scarlet eyes glittered with a cruel anticipation as he surveyed the village from afar. Smoke rose lazily from chimneys, and the soft murmur of villagers going about their daily lives reached his ears. It was a scene of tranquillity that was about to be shattered.

"Remember," Anubis 2 hissed to his demon companions in a voice that sent shivers down their spines, "We are not here to kill them swiftly. We are here to sow fear, to make them question their safety even in their own homes."

His fellow demons nodded in eerie agreement, their maws filled with serrated teeth stretching into menacing grins.

With a signal from their leader, they moved closer to the village, their presence masked by the gathering twilight. It was time to begin their reign of terror.

The demons under Anubis 2's command slithered through the outskirts of the village, hidden by the cloak of night. Their malicious intent hung in the air like a palpable fog. As they crept closer to the village centre, they selected their targets carefully.

One demon, with jagged, obsidian scales and a long, sinuous tail, moved stealthily to a small cottage. Inside, a family of villagers lay sleeping, blissfully unaware of the nightmare that was about to unfold.

The demon extended its clawed fingers, tapping the window pane with a slow, rhythmic cadence, a large sinister smile frozen on its face. A soft, haunting lullaby began to emanate from its throat, a melody that chilled the very souls of those who heard it. The tune grew louder and more haunting with each passing moment, and the sleeping family began to stir.

In another part of the village, a demon with translucent, ethereal wings took to the rooftops. It let out a blood-curdling scream that echoed through the quiet night. The sound was a cacophony of agony and despair, the kind that made the heart race and the skin prickle with dread.

As villagers awoke to the eerie serenade and the spine-chilling wail, panic ensued. Doors slammed shut, and shutters were hastily drawn closed, as if that could shield them from the horrors outside. Mothers held their children close, whispering desperate prayers for safety.

Anubis 2 himself, his eyes aflame with malevolence, stalked through the village square. With every step, he left behind a large clawed footprint that seemed to have been carved into the very ground itself

It was a symphony of terror orchestrated with brutal precision, like a scene from a nightmare. The demons reveled in the fear they had sown, in the anguished cries of the villagers who dared not venture outside their homes.

The demons continued their unholy campaign of terror. The three demons, each with their unique methods of torment, set about their sinister work in the first village.

The obsidian-scaled demon, its serpentine eyes gleaming with malice, continued to tap on the window of a modest cottage. There, a family of four lay sleeping, unaware of the malevolent presence lurking in the shadows. The demon's clawed finger continued to tap rhythmically, a sound that echoed with ominous intent. The taps grew louder, more relentless, until they pierced the veil of slumber.

The family awoke, their eyes wide with terror, as they realised they were not alone. The demon's sinister smile stretched across its nightmarish visage as it continued its rhythmic tapping, each tap driving fear deeper into the hearts of the family.

Then, with a sudden, jarring motion, the demon's claw transformed into a clenched fist, smashing through the fragile window. The family's screams pierced the air as they scrambled to escape the nightmarish intruder. The father, his face a mask of desperation, attempted to stand up to the monstrous creature, but his defiance was met with a horrifying fate. The demon's gaping maw descended upon him, biting his head clean off in a gruesome display of carnage.

The mother and children cried out in sheer horror, their minds unable to comprehend the grotesque scene before them. The demon reveled in the terror it had wrought, savouring the taste of fear that permeated the room.

In another part of the village, a second demon, with ethereal wings, hovered before a small child's bedroom window, smashing its head against the window to enter the room. The child's innocent eyes widened in terror.

Meanwhile, the third demon, a large figure made of wood, only an eerie smile placed on his so-called face, gathered a group of villagers in the town square. Their eyes wide with terror, their hearts pounding like desperate drums, they obediently sat, wails could be heard from the women and disgust on the faces of the men who couldn;t save their wives and children The demon summoned many tentacles of wood, the villagers' could only look at them for a few seconds before the roots launched at their faces, piercing through them instantly

This was a night of relentless, unrelenting horror, the kind that burrowed deep into the soul and left scars that could never truly heal. The demons reveled in the anguish they had inflicted, their malevolent laughter echoing through the village like a dirge of despair.
