Beginning of the academy year

At the next morning. Max and company ate their breakfast and headed to the entrance of the academy after wearing their robes. The entrance was decorated with flags of the academy and the country. As one of the country's pillars the academy received a lot of resources and attention. The future generation of elites will graduate from this academy. To give the new students some stimulation to grow there was always a competition for the first year classes after two months of study. There were great rewards for the winners. There were 4 noble classes and 6 commoner classes. It generally did not help the commoners at all. Those kids had no backing, skills, cultivation level strength. They were most vulnerable at this moment. At least it was like this before. Now those commoners were looking for the beginning of the academic year to be able to cultivate. It will be harder to suppress them. They will have 4 years to grow up. It will be harder to make them work for nobles. They could go to the army or just be dependent on themselves. They did not need the noble now that much.

At the end Max just released the knight cultivation technique for the masses. The mage cultivation technique needed to be obtained with a test. Kill the level on bot in the simulation. It would be only possible to commoners because nobles will not get any help from the simulation. Max made sure that those nobles will get fucked.

There was a gathering of all the new classes at the big arena near the entrance. The audience were all the senior year students with their teachers. Max, Valeria and the kids stood together at the front row. Max was a senior teacher so no one would disrespect him. The director was giving a speech and it was generally boring. Max waited for the process to end. The main idea was to study well and the fact that all first year classes will have a competition to determine the amount of resources all classes will receive. For the first semester the resources will get equally distributed between classes.

The first year students will study the next subjects:

-History is Alexander's country and the Ruth empire.

-Literature.

-Combat theory.

-Armed combat.

-Unarmed combat.

-Body training.

-Extra courses of choice.

There were a lot of different courses of choice. From learning blacksmithing, alchemy or other different aspects of life like architecture and so on. The problem here was that all those needed to be payed for. Depending on the course the payment could be big or huge. For example alchemy was a very popular subject. Those people that could get even to a level of an apprentice would live life in wealth. The situation was similar for blacksmithing. alchemist were almost non existent in Alexander's country. Even the course at the academy was a theoretical one.

After hearing about this Max was also starting to think that getting a profession other than a fighter was a good idea.

'System do I have the alchemy simulation available to buy?' Max asked.

'Yes. There are two parts you can get. The first one cost 1000 gold coins and it will get you to a level of a alchemist. The second one cost 1000 magic crystals and it will get you to a level of master alchemist.' The system answered.

'Why do alchemy has two parts and blacksmithing only one?' Max asked the system.

'Both subjects has two parts. The blacksmithing first part don't use any magic powers so it is suitable for the blacksmith that asked you to open the simulation. This blacksmith is not qualified to open the second part. For the second part fire magic is a must. Without it there is no reason even to try. With fire magic it is possible to get from a blacksmith to a blacksmith master. The same thing works for alchemy as well. Until the level of alchemist magic is not needed. To get to the level of alchemist master you have to manipulate the fire element to perfection.' The system answered.

After a little bit of thinking Max asked: 'Will alchemic products help my cultivation speed?'

The system answered instantly: 'Of course.'

Max looked calm from the outside but he was raging inside. 'Why did you not tell me about that?!?!? What the FUCK!?!?!' Max asked the system with rage.

The system answered in a calm voice: 'Because you did not ask.'

Max facepalmed from the inside. He wasted so much time. He could get to a level of an alchemist for sure until now. He was mad. This was the beginning of a studying year for him as well. He did not really mind that. Maybe he could teach the kids alchemy. He also remembered about meeting Wilfred, the blacksmith master recently and he got a good idea. He will get Wilfred to teach the brats blacksmithing and he will continue to come to the gaming club at night as a teacher. Now he did not have the ability to come freely. Max would study alchemy and will start teaching the brats. He did not really like the idea for the study of blacksmithing now. He was fighting enough. Hitting metals for hours did not really interest him. Alchemy seemed more noble profession and it benefited him greatly. He could progress as a knight and a mage. He did not know what level he could get with his skills right now but he was sure they were high. As a knight and mage with fire magic available he was sure that he could get to a level an alchemist at least. He did not know how hard it would be after. He decided to give the kids of his class the ability to rapidly grow. If he will see them slack off he will kick them out. Now he needed to test the brats and see their talent levels. depending on the talent levels they will go their own different ways in terms of growth. Max decided on the way he will act. He needed to grow as well. He will the best alchemist he could be and just progress swiftly. After the plans for the year were settled it was time to act.
