Chapter 439

"Did you bring your Bows with you?" Feifei curiously asked when she got out of the car.

It was quite unusual for people to carry such things with them when they were travelling to a different country.

"Yes, and no." Qingyue smiled and shook her head. "Keith always carries some with him."

Her words made both the girls frown and look at him, and he smiled before starting to walk towards the grounds.

There were several grounds on the estate, but the largest of them was nearly twice the size of a football pitch, exactly 200 metres long and 150 metres wide.

The place was big enough to play all sorts of sports, and could even be made into a good Archery Range, which was the thought that crossed Rouxi and Feifei's mind when they followed Keith into the ground.

However, they could have never imagined that their sudden thought was about to become a reality.

Keith winked at Feifei, confusing her, and then he crouched down and placed his right hand flat on the grass.

He closed his eyes, focusing on imagining a layout, and then he channelled his Mana, bringing the image into his mind to reality.

Rouxi instinctively stepped back when she saw wooden pillars shooting out of the ground. It felt like there was an earthquake, a strong one, but within seconds, everything was back to normal.

Everything, except for the new target posts that were all around this massive field.

It was even better than the Archery Range they were coming from, and Feifei dumbly stared at the self-proclaimed god.

"You can even do this?!" She nearly lost it when she saw him create tables for equipment and then benches for them to sit, even a shade in the form of a beautiful elevated Gazebo.

He even created elevated posts to stand on and perform target practice.

"Like it?" He smiled and asked once he was done, and Feifei nodded her head like a chicken before she looked at her friend and burst out laughing.

"What are you?" Rouxi was clearly very anxious right now, and her mind was failing to make any sense of what she had just witnessed.

"He is not human, of course." Qingyue giggled but then grabbed Rouxi's hand as she pulled her with him towards the empty tables. "The equipment?" She asked and watched him nod to her.

In a blink of an any, several different bows, made out of unknown materials, appeared on the table, along with quivers and a variety of arrows.

"Hey, you aren't a Genie, are you?" Feifei suddenly asked, shocked yet again at what he had just done.

"Maybe." He chuckled and just shrugged. "Try them." He invited her, and unlike Rouxi, who was even more alarmed, she simply stepped forward and started inspecting the equipment.

"What are these made of?"

"Metals, Woods, and Bones that can not be found in this world." He informed her and smiled when she threw him a strange look before focusing again on the beautiful Bows.

Though the equipment looked quite precious, it was, in fact, amongst the most basic Common Equipments for Aurors in the Lower Heaven.

The weapons and equipment available in the System Shop were all ordinary, except for a few things. And these Bows and Arrows had only cost him a few thousand System Points.

"What material is this?" Feifei curiously picked up a very strange, all-grey bow, and it was only after she picked it up that she noticed its near-invisible string.

"Bones of a Magical Beast. And that string is made out of a very special silk with Aura and Mana properties." He informed her, and she quickly noted down his words in her mind to question him later about them.

"It doesn't have any arrows?" She curiously asked, glancing at the table again.

Each bow had a set of quivers and arrows with them, but this one did not have any.

"It does not need any," Qingyue told her with a smile, and Keith nodded to her.

"Let me show you how it works." He said as he took it from her hands, and then got into the position, targeting the nearest post.

As soon as he pulled the string, it glowed and a transparent arrow made of out his Aura appeared in his hand, already nocked in the bow.

And then he simply let it loose.

The Aura Arrow pierced cleanly through the wooden post, leaving a hole inside it, and then it dispersed into specks of light.

"You can create arrows with your Aura and shoot them with this weapon. The bow will help you enhance the speed behind it and will also help you create those arrows more efficiently."

"Let me try!"

He shook his head in response, and she pouted at him.

"Why?"

"You don't have enough Aura reserves yet to play with it. At most, you can only shoot one or two arrows."

"I will only shoot one! Promise!" She pleadingly looked at him, and he chuckled before he handed the bow to her. "So, what exactly do I do?"

There was a big grin on her face as she looked at him, but it was Qingyue who answered her question.

"Just get in the position and channel your Aura into your right hand. Don't panic when you sense it draw the aura out of your body. You can control the supply easily, and you must do it before it draws too much."

"Oh." She understandably nodded her head and was amazed at how easy it was.

Once she had conjured up her Aura Arrow, which was of a yellow colour, lemon, to be exact, she immediately set it loose.

She was surprised when she saw the arrow hit the post, but unlike what she had seen earlier, it only left an inch-deep wound on it.

"Why didn't it go through?"

"Your Aura isn't potent enough," Keith told her and then grabbed the bow, taking it away from her hand. "And you have spent more than half of it with that one shot."

She pouted at him, and then longingly looked at the bow again.

"Can I shoot one more after I have recovered my reserves?"

"Of course." He smiled at her. "It will actually be a good exercise for you."

"Thank you!" She gave him a quick hug and then started checking out the other bows.

Keith caught Rouxi staring at the bow in his hand, and he chuckled before he offered it to her.

"Try it." He urged, and she hesitated a little before she stepped forward.

After what she had just witnessed, she was quite impatient to try it for herself, and as soon as her Aura Arrow formed, in its beautiful blue colour, her eyes widened a little in surprise and excitement.

She hit the same post, aiming right under Feifei's mark, and she smiled a little when she managed to create a bigger wound on the post.

"Hey, did you pour out more Aura than me?" Feifei curiously as she looked at the mark Rouxi had created.

"No. She used less Aura than you, but her Aura is more potent than yours." Keith told her, to which she curiously raised her brow at him.

"Why?"

"Some are just more blessed than the rest." He playfully flicked her nose and a cute glare in response.

For the rest of the afternoon, the girls just immersed themselves in Archery, testing out all the different bows, and taking the opportunity to shoot the Aura arrows again, which the two only grew more excited about with every shot.

Qingyue was more than happy to finally have some girls with her who shared her love for Archery, and she generously taught them things that they did not know about and helped them wherever she could.

By the time the sun sank, the girls had grown quite close to each other.

If one looked at Qingyue with Feifei and Rouxi, they would never believe that it was only the second day since they had gotten to know each other. And Rouxi, who had not laughed in quite a while, graced their ears with her enchanting laugh.

"Hey, Qingyue," Rouxi called out to her as they all retrieved the arrows and tidied up the equipment.

"Yes?" The grey-eyed girl curiously looked at her.

"Did he create these out of magic?" She curiously asked, and even Feifei perked up her ears.

Keith was not around right now, having excused himself away in the afternoon, and they were both hoping that his wife would shed some light on those secrets.

"No."

"Then?"

"You saw the ring on his right hand?" She asked back, and seeing both of them nod their heads, she smiled. "That's a Storage Ring. A Ring created out of special materials, Runes, and Spatial Magic. He keeps a lot of things inside it, and he carries these pieces of equipment with him."

"Oh." They were amazed again at the new information, and everything they had learned and witnessed today had immensely intrigued them.

Needless to say, both of them only had Magic on their mind, and they were yearning to learn it if it was even possible for him.

And unbeknownst to them, their interest in this world's worldly affairs and mundane life had already waned a lot.

It was exactly the result Keith wanted to see, and Qingyue could guess it as well.

She could sense that Keith was taking things quite fast with Rouxi and Feifei, almost as if he was short on time, and she did not know why, but she felt a little restless.

"Why does he have a God-Complex though?" Feifei suddenly asked. "Or is he really a God?"

Despite knowing that Keith wasn't lying to her, she still could not help but ask the question.

Qingyue laughed at her words, finding them quite funny, but eventually, she shook her head.

"He doesn't have a God-Complex. He is a God, well, a Mortal God."

"Mortal God?" Rouxi curiously raised her brow at the name and watched the grey-eyed girl nod her head.

"Mortal Gods are mortals who inherited the Legacies of the True Gods who are now gone. And until they become Immortal, and achieve True Godhood, they are counted as the Mortal Gods. There are quite a few of them in this world." She smiled as she looked Rouxi in the eyes.

"So, all those Gods in the Mythologies existed for real?" Feifei amazedly asked.

"Yes. Well, almost all did and some still do exist."

"Which God's legacy did he inherit?" Rouxi frowned and asked.

"The God of Darkness, Erebus." She revealed to them. "Oh, and this Estate actually belongs to the Inheritor of Hermes."

"Erebus?" Feifei frowned. "And you?"

"I am not an Inheritor." She shook her head.

"How does one become an Immortal?" There were clear hints of impatience and nervousness in her voice.

"Why? Want to live with him forever?" Qingyue knowingly asked and giggled at the blush that crept on the girl's face. "Any Auror who is talented and blessed enough can become an Immortal. Even some ordinary Aurors manage to gain Immortality, but only because of an extreme stroke of luck. It isn't easy and is a very long and arduous journey. Even if you are talented, you have to work hard on your Cultivation." She seriously told them, and seeing them both feel a little depressed, she laughed again. "Don't worry. You two will be fine."

She did not explain herself nor did the two of them ask another question after they entered the Manor.

"I am famished." Feifei suddenly said, and her words served as a catalyst which kicked in their hunger too.

"Yeah..." Qingyue hoped that their dinner was ready.

And though she looked fine, she was quite tired.

It had been days since she last slept, and after the exhausting training inside the world of Aerzar, and all that happened today on Gaia, she was terribly yearning for a good night's sleep.
