Gathering Of The Family

"Isn't the moon very beautiful tonight ?"

In the midst of starry night , a smooth voice whistles with the calming breeze .

"Young master is right , it is not everyday where we can admire such beautiful phenomenon "

A gentle voice of goddess , blessed the land of mortals and the gods , however there was incomprehensible loneliness mixed .

"Call me Void and don't be formal with me , as I myself don't like formalities , no need to be so shy and polite "

A young man silently walks on the street bustling and crowded albeit the late night , his beautiful companion with him , each of his steps was encompassed with such a beautiful moment where all the stars seem to have gathered just for him .

"O— if young master does not think that calling you by your name would be rude than I am more than willing to call you by your name "

Those beautiful long golden hairs freely flutter with the cold night-time , her golden eyes reflecting with moonlight and shimmering with endless charm capable of captivating the ages for eternity.

Her long white dress , as pure as holy garment , flutters and sways with the peaceful gale of the night .

"Don't mind me , ask me of anything as I am not one of narrow-minded bitch "

The young man was shorter than the goddess but his every step gave birth to a new life and a new world. In some corner of the universe , there was a new world born just because of each step he takes .

"I am a bastard who is not good in anyway but feel free to talk and do anything whenever you are with me , since I don't mind even if you were to kill someone "

The young man was arrogant but overflowing confidence surges out of his divine body , although he does not emanate his qi or aura , his presence alone is enough to suppress even the strongest Immortal of all time .

"I don't mean to be rude but — where are we going ?"

The goddess was awry of her circumstance , she just followed Void without a second thought , clearly she is not in control of the situation.

The young man laughs out loud , he did expect such curiosity from the goddess but he still laughed , he walks in astir without any care of the world.

The young man slowly spins his body while walking further , it was no less than a dance with unrestrained heart flying while spreading his wings , his arms reflecting the movement of how a bird's wing flips .

He smiles and stops , meets the eyes of his goddess .

"I fly where my wings soars "

The goddess halts , her whole existence seems to pause and the timespace around them stagnates just for those two .

"I never have a fixed destination "

Seeing the young man living his life to the fullest , the goddess was forced to reflect on her past. How has she been living till now ?

"For I am the never ending journey of my own "

Was she happy ? Was she living her life just like how she expected to ? No , did she ever genuinely smile in her life ?

The goddess suddenly found herself standing in the center of darkness , in her eyes, forgetting the whole world , only that young man and his unrestrained attitude reflected . 

"I can see the shackles that has been restraining you and your wings , hunting you on each breath you take , each breath must have been suffocating you "

The goddess suddenly found herself to be tied by chains of restrictions , her divine golden wings were fastened by the insurmountable and indestructible chains , everywhere in the darkness were shining restrictions. 

"Come with me , for I shall teach you how to fly "

The young man stretches his right arm for her, the whole world of darkness was slowly starting to become devoured by a darkness that stands above all darkness .

"Although my world has no warmth like the light of that magnanimous sun , although everything shall be blind since there is only darkness engulfed "

Subconsciously for some reason , the goddess reaches her right arm forward; she must have been hypnotized by the devilish charm of the young man .

"But in my world of darkness , I am the King , hence you shall be my queen "

The young man's smile was very fascinating and mesmerizing. If he were to embrace even the world of ice with Extreme Yin erupting endlessly , there would be warmth that would even melt such a world of ice .

"I will show you how exciting it is to be unrestrained "

The young man grabs her soft and slender hand , pulling her in his embrace and tightly wrapping his arm around her voluptuous body .

"Want to do something blood boiling ?"

The young man's hushed voice reaches her , his warm breath brushes her soft and bewitching lips , the goddess nods while unbeknown to her that she has been charmed by a Demon.

The goddess who was pure and untainted in the eyes of both mortals and divine entities was corrupted by the Demon. Here a very beautiful story of a goddess was written but it was also a very pitiful story for her since she was a piece of chess on a grand scheme .

The Demon who was scheming behind the darkness was preparing the chess pieces while waiting for his enemies to make their move .

The whole Phoenix Ascension House was a chess board while the very few selected individual were the chosen chess pieces .

The darkness was reaching for Phoenix Ascension House without any noises falling on them .

The sun transcends the sky , early in the morning , bathing the whole world with his divine light that reaches from the beginning of the Northern Heaven to the end of the land .

Daoist and Gods can be seen flying up in the sky , one after another everyone was waking up from their dreams and starting to begin with their new day .

In a luxurious inn where hundreds of rooms are constructed , there was a lake beneath the building, constructing the inn above the lake to make it beautiful and attractive. 

There were wooden bridges connected from one hallway to another , small wooden boats were also floating everywhere on those lakes .

Butterflies were flying and those beautiful birds were resting on those lotuses from the lake , maids and servants were getting busy and so was the business. 

Inside a vip room which is surrounded by a lake and beautiful gardens not far away from the room , the sunlight reaches inside and warms the room .

There inside the room is a bed where couples were sleeping while embracing each other , they were covered with a white blanket .

The young man slowly opens his eyes and finds a beautiful goddess sleeping next to him , he can't help but lightly smile while admiring the beauty of the goddess .

Her long hairs were in mess while strands of her golden hairs reached her lavishing lips , he slowly moved her hairs behind her ear with his finger .

Slowly, he stands and gets off the bed , entering inside the bathroom he washes himself before changing into black shirt and pants , shoes and combing his hair .

Walking out of the bathroom he turns to look at the goddess and smiles before writing something on a piece of paper and placing it on the table .

With that he walks out of the room and prepares to leave , he needs to visit Exalted Celestial Phoenix Mountain to meet with Heng Tiankuo , his so-called employer .

"Here I come "

Exalted Celestial Phoenix Mountain is located at Eastern Mountain Range , there is a tall and divine mountain where divine roar of a holy beast and ancient gods infiltrates the land and the sky .

Mysterious heavenly clouds enshrouding while behind those clouds are mysteries of myriad wonder .

There is a majestic residence where a lake and alchemy garden are built , both beautiful maids and handsome servants are found working .

Powerful celestial knights were patrolling and protecting the territory , walking inside the residence while being guided by a beautiful maid , Void looked around .

There were only servants and guards in such rich land , no other individuals other than the master of the residence had the authority and privilege to enter this area .

Finally after passing lots of rooms and hallway , Void arrives inside a grandeur hall where there were many Ancient antique decorations and even powerful formations were installed .

But only two wooden chairs and a round table were in the center of such an arresting hall , on the table were meat of spiritual beast , ancient wines , divine fruits and plates served .

"Please get in "

The beautiful maids politely ask him to enter while lowering her head , doing her best not to disrespect their honorable guest invited personally by their master .

Void nods and walks in , even though the maid was humble and polite, he noticed that she is actually a genuine Transcendent Realm powerhouse , hence further displaying the prestige of Exalted Celestial Phoenix Mountain .

When he enters the hall , he finds that the Heavenly Dao within this hall was overflowing and about to achieve another level , just breathing here would be able to make mortal into a Dao Practitioner .

He walks to the empty seats , without further ado he takes a wine from the cup while resting on the chair .

The cup was crafted from a mighty master's bone , such Artifact is used to refine wines and alcohol for cultivation. If used by Mortal World , they would make it their family heirloom. 

"If you have called me here just waste my time , then I advise you stop it now since I don't think it's time to joke around "

It was silent , nobody was around yet Void acted as if he was talking with someone. 

But strangely enough , someone was already sitting in the empty seat while drinking his wine , he was elegant and very noble. 

His long silver hairs were tied in ponytail while his silver eyes were that of refined jewels from Immortal land .

He was wearing a long silver robe where sun and moon resonated , the astral image of hundred stars hovers around him and his beauty enchants by hundred times, blinding the world and drowning the era .

"Hahaha "

He laughs unrestrained yet a unique charm can be found in his laughter , with an aura full of superiority and kingly presence , the silver haired young man sips his alcohol. 

"I have only heard about your fame but to personally meet you like this, I feel honored "

He calmly smiles , picking up meat he takes a bite and chews them , taking his time he unhurriedly swallows .

"Don't waste my precious time , even if I have almost never exhausting longevity , I cherish my life more than anyone "

"After all , I am still young and handsome "

Void does not take Heng Tiankuo's word seriously , he ambiguously continues .

"What do you want from me ?"

Heng Tiankuo places his cup on the table and takes out an invitation letter , he slowly gives it to Void .

"This is invitation for the Gathering Of Family , I want you to participate as one of my family member "

Void received the letter and found that the materials used to craft such a letter was at least something at Quasi-God level .

Gathering of Family , it is something that is done once in every generation .

Phoenix Ascension House has many descendants , some are promising while some are monsters , those that have qualifications to take part in Succession War would build a Family. 

Each Family can recruit their forces and make them fight for the Family's Family Head , hence the stronger your Family is ,your possibility of succeeding Succession War becomes much more stronger .

This time, Void needs to participate as a family member from the Exalted Celestial Phoenix Family , fighting for Heng Tiankuo. 

"Of course , if you succeed on earning us reputation and honor during the Gathering Of Family , I promise you with generous reward "

Heng Tiankuo smiles slyly, he seems to see through the Void .

Void puts the invitation inside his Soul Vault and returns back to enjoying his meal .

"There are many Families that will participate but there are very few Families that can truly prove to be challenging , of course you will also be forced to go up against someone in Upper Realm powerhouse "

Void does not say anything, he just enjoys himself with such a delicious meal .

Heng Tiankuo was like a celestial , each of his words contains mystery behind Dao ,even when someone listens to him they would find themselves in a different world from mortal soil .

Void continues to listen to him , he didn't take Heng Tiankuo's word seriously but it seems that participating in Gathering of Family would be beneficial for him.

Heng Tiankuo observes Void and slowly he also smiles like an old fox who has no qualms on seeking the world's destruction just for his benefits.
