Chapter 48 - Ray vs Ethan (Part 2)

Ray and Ethan started exchanging attacks again.

Ray was not able to use his ["Meteor Splitting Sword Style"] because he was holding Kana with one hand. So Ray could only use normal sword attacks and Magic spells.

Ray was able to recover some of his mana during the fight, but it was again used in the fight. So Ray's mana was close to depletion.

Then Ray started thinking for something using which he could reverse this situation. Finally, Ray remembered about his spell ["Mana Drain"]. This was the one of the spell which he never used in battle. This doesn't mean that he neglected this spell. He mastered this spell at home.

So he created a plan and was simply waiting for the right opportunity so that he could touch Ethan and use this spell.

After few more minutes. He finally found an opportunity.

Ray is a Vampire, so his recovery speed is fast. He can constantly fight and regenerate lost Stamina at the same time.

However, Ethan was not a vampire. He was something else. Ray doesn't know what race he is. Nor he knows from where Ethan come.

Even the word 'Demon' is simply given by Reyanna so Ray doesn't know whether that is True or False since he never heard about Demon race or something in this world.

Anyway Ethan was now having trouble breathing and maintaining stamina after intense fighting with Ray. He wants to finish this fight as fast as possible now. He was now becoming desperate.

"Hah... Hah... I underestimated you Boy" Ethan said. He was feeling impatient, and then he made a mistake. His body posture disrupted for a second because of his Stamina loss. Though he quickly recovered and composed himself. The opportunity was already made for Ray.

Ray cast ["Blink"] and he teleported behind Ethan. Ray touched on his back and cast ["Mana Drain"]. Then Ray immediately jumped away from that place because as soon as Ray jumped backward, Ethan turned backward and performed a slash. Ray missed the slash by very small margin. That was dangerous otherwise Ray's head would be sliced. And since there was no revive concept here. His death would have been almost confirmed.

Ray and Ethan again started fighting each other but this time Ray had enough mana after he cast ["Mana Drain"] spell, so he was preparing to cast Rank 5 spell. After about Ten seconds, he was done gathering mana.

Ray placed his sword in storage ring and then he cast ["Lightning's Incarnate"]. Ray's hands transformed into Lightning armored claws having high penetration power. His feet were also covered with Lightning element boots. They increased his speed by 100 points. Ray was Rank 6 knight, so after Lightning covered Feet, his speed increased to Rank 7.

"Let's end this already," Ray said then his figure blurred, and he disappeared. Ethan was surprised with Ray using Lightning spell, so he was not able to react in time and was not able to teleport away.

Ray appeared in front of him and directly penetrated his chest with his claws then he grabbed Ethan's heart and then pulled out his hand. After that he crushed the heart.

Till the last moment Ethan was shocked. Everything happened so fast.

Finally, he died, and his disguise spell also went off. His original body came into view. He had dark gray skin with cracks. He had purple eyes and his hair were red. Furthermore, he also had 2 horns on his head.

Finally, Ray relaxed. He separated from Kana and placed her on the ground. Ray looked towards Kana face.

Kana wanted to say a lot of things but at this moment no words came out of her mouth. She simply hugged Ray and cried.

Ray also understood how she was feeling. When death is near, even strong people break.

While Kana is just like him, she is only a small child in this world as compared to other old cultivators whose age are like hundred years or maybe even close to a thousand.

So Ray patted her back and soothe her. Once she composed herself she blushed and separated herself from Ray. She said "Thank you" in mosquito like voice, but Ray was able to hear her.

Then earthquake occurred. All islands started shaking and Ray concluded that since Ethan is dead, so dimension started collapsing slowly. He immediately started running towards the mansion. Kana also started following Ray.

They reached mansion after few minutes. Ray immediately kicked the door open and started running towards the upper floors through stairs.

Once he reached the top floor. He came in front of huge room. He opened its door. Inside Leo, Elora and Luna were tied. Ray freed Leo and Kana freed Elora and Luna. Those three then thanked Ray.

"Ok, you can talk later. Now we need to find the exit since this dimension is collapsing." said Ray.

Everyone became serious hearing his words. Then immediately descended the stairs and got out of the mansion.

"Where should we go? " Asked Elora.

"Yeah How can we find the exit here?" asked Luna.

Leo didn't say anything but his expression was solemn.

"Follow me. Whenever we mages use a spell, we release some element particles in the surroundings. When I came into this dimension. I used ["Blink"] spell a lot, To run away from black creatures. So I will be able to detect space spell particles and will be able to find my path." Ray said.

Everyone started following Ray and after few minutes they reached the end of this island.

Ray immediately found the first island where lot of black creatures were running everywhere in panic.

Ray opened his wings. Seeing him doing that Elora and Leo also opened their wings.

Elora picked up Luna using her hands. And Kana shyly came in front of Ray and looked towards him. Ray understood what she wanted, so he simply picked her up and started flying towards first island. Leo, Elora and Luna followed after him.

As soon as they landed on the island. All creatures stopped running and focused all their attention on Ray and his friends.

"Food! Food!"

"Living Food! "

"More Blood!!!"

Hearing their words and seeing them, everyone got goosebumps.

"Run and Follow me" Ray said.

He started running in particular direction. He also started spamming his ["Inferno"] Rank 4 spell whenever he saw large group of black creatures on his front.

While running, other party members Leo, Elora, Luna and Kana also started casting spells to keep these black monsters away.

However, only now they understood the horror of these black creatures. Because after getting hit by their spells, these creatures regenerated and started following them again.

So Sometimes Ray will have to use his ["Meteor Splitting Sword Strike"] to slice apart creatures which were coming from behind their group.
