Chapter 34 - Saint Reyanna

Human kingdom is exactly like you can imagine. Where humans think Human God is strongest and worship him. Some even blindly follow his orders. There are Saints, Heroes and other titles which are bestowed to some Humans. And There is also People from church.

A voice could be heard.

Inside the darkness where one couldn't even see an inch ahead, a repulsive voice was resounding.

That voice was Shrill, filled with terror.

It was already heard for several thousand, several tens of thousand times.

I also know about the development ahead of here. The same as the voice. I have seen it continuously repeating for several thousand, numerous tens of thousand times.

No. To be more accurate it wasn't seeing, yes, it was remembering.

A memory that couldn't possibly be forgotten. A memory that mustn't be forgotten.

The repulsive reason of me being alive. It was the earliest scene my heart remembered. The wind was blowing. Darkness that was like black ink which painted over anything it touched was swept away. What appeared in its place was crimson flame, the fire of hell.

Inside the world that was dyed red, He was there.

The figure that was like condensed darkness, or perhaps shadow. Red flame that was like blood was gushing out.

The two hands that were clad with hell fire were carelessly holding things that were once my parents, the eyes and mouth that were colored by flame warped like a mocking sneer.

His mouth moved slightly.

A voice could be heard.

The voice of his was a sneering laugh.

Flame was gushing out. My important people were disappearing without even leaving ash behind, His hand was reaching forward.

The hand that was created from hell fire and shadow completely filled my sight that was blurred by tears.

And then, hope and future, warm thing...as though to crush all of those things fully within its grasp...

"aAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"

A scream echoed inside a bedroom at midnight.

The soft blanket was brushed aside, and a young woman around the age of twenty lifted her body.

She was a beautiful woman but right now her expression was filled in grief with terror. Her blond hair that normally was wavy and looked soft got stuck on her cheeks and nape of the neck from sweat in an unsightly state.

Just then the room's door was knocked.

" Miss Reyanna are you alright? "

A worried voice called out to her. Her body twitched in surprise.

But, she immediately let out a large sigh, wiped the tears blurring her pupils with her sleeve, and then she calmed down her breathing with her hand on her chest before replying.

"I'm fine, Lia. I only got a bit of nightmare."

She tried to make her voice as calm and bright as she could.

However, it was clear as day that the girl was only trying to not make other worried.

After all, this was something that had continued for two years. At the very least this would happen once or twice a week.

It would even happen three or four times a week sometimes, when Reyanna would spring up from her bed while screaming in midnight.

The cause was common knowledge. Therefore, the people who idolized her also understood that it was something that couldn't be solved that easily.

She was a Saint. She was the closest to god so what can a mere mortal like them do for her, those were the common people thoughts.

"How about I brought something to drink for you?" said maid Lia.

Reyanna made a warm smile at the consideration of her comrade, and also her family. She felt like the coldness that was covering her heart, was softening.

"Yes please and Thank you, Lia"

After that, Reyanna lightly wiped her hair and sweat. Then she started drinking tea which Lia brought.

"Is there any help coming from the God Arthur or from Church." asked Reyanna.

"No those bastards took all money from towns, and then they didn't even send any help." said Lia in disdain.

"Any reports or newly gained information?" asked Reyanna.

"Recently, the movement of 'them' is getting increasingly active. That's why it's necessary for us to ascertain it. Just who are they." said Lia.

"Then what should we do now? Human God Arthur ignored our issue and even his worshipers took all our money." asked Reyanna.

"How about we go to adventurer guild" said Lia

"But to place request in the guild, we will need money which we severely lack right now" said Reyanna.

"Yes, but maybe we can find some adventurers or kind people, who might help us" said Lia.

"You are right Lia. To save lives of the people from our village, we will have to do something. We can't just give up like this" Said Reyanna

"You are right, people are dying daily. We will have to solve this issue soon" said Lia.

"Lia please ready my carriage, we will go towards the central city. It will take us atleast 3 days to reach there" said Reyanna

"So we will be entering Rank 5 dungeons today, but we will not be entering in normal Rank 5 dungeons available to adventurers.

We will be going to dungeons which have buried inheritance, treasures etc. Adventurers are usually not allowed to enter these dungeons. Only adventurers having terrifying family background or Their rank should be at least Rank 10.

So All of you are allowed to enter these dungeons but I will accompany you.

So first dungeon in which we will be going will be Ancient Dragon Rank 5 dungeon but it's close to the level of Rank 6 dungeon so don't underestimate it.

It was recently discovered and I got a request to clear it. Usually adventurer guild will never let us take treasures from dungeon but because they are busy with the increase in monsters in wilderness that's why they allowed us to enter and give some share from treasures.

This dungeon will be different from normal dungeons, In normal dungeon it was fixed that we will have 5 rooms. Four containing monsters and one containing the boss.

But here we will have to go completely clueless. Anything can happen." said Headmaster Selene in serious tone.
